This place is really good, the staff was amazing and the environment was lots of fun -- without being noise at all! The Location can not be any better. An A+! Water pressure in the room showers needs lots of help!
They give me lots of informations about traveling. It really helps me a lot!!!
the staff were very cooperative and freindely. economical hotel in an excellent location the smell of the room
well organized, clean rooms.
Every member of staff, from front desk to housekeeping, were outstandingly friendly and helpful
It was very clean, great downtown location, employees were very nice and provided lots of info on the area like where to eat and what to do. The place was fairly quiet, provided breakfast, and had sitting areas with nice leather arm chairs.
friendly staff difficult to stay on top of cleaning (kitchen and bathrooms) when so busy
Very convenient location. Friendly staff and guests. Linens hadn't been changed on my bed even though I arrived after 4 pm. Room was quite noisy throughout the night with people coming and going. Some one left early about 5 am and left their light on. Part of the hassles of being in a hostel with no curfew.
Safe, welcoming environment. GREAT location close to a variety of attractions, amenities and public transportation.
Nice set up, cafe on ground floor. Community kitchen with fridgerators. You can cook whatever you like and bring back leftovers.. Have to pay 10c a minute for computers onsight.
I saved a ton of money. My room was noisy because of roommates and the train tracks right outside the window.
I liked very much the fact that the room and the bathroom were very clean and the fact that was a safe place and of course the fact that I could lock my BAGGAGE....cause when you share the room with different strangers you never know what you can "loose"....:D The only thing that I didn't liked was the fact that the breakfast was to poor.
The price is great! Can walk to the Fullerton Red Line station. Wireless internet worked well in the lobby areas. Community washroom not pristine after a night of use.
The environment of the hostel is wonderful. It is at a very lovely street, full of old houses and huge trees. Bus stop and subway are very close to the hostel. There are plenty of restaurants and bars around. If I go to Chicago I will definetly stay at the Arlington House. The room I had booked had a private bathroom but when we arrived at there they gave us a room with toilet and labotory, no shower. On the other hand the comman showers are really clean..
This is the best hostel I have stayed in the staff are excellent the rooms are a bit Spartan but clean and well maintained, they organize a trip to a blues club once a week, and have a communal meal on one night of the week plus the continental breakfast is more than ample, it is also in a brilliant location right in the heart of Lincoln park. Would have liked some sort of cupboard in the room not just a wardrobe, but I managed okay without so no problem.
I stayed in a private room, it was ok for the price. basic but ok breakfast, excellent staff, very helpful, free internet. the private rooms should at least have washbasin and mirror. in every corridor, there should be a shower/toilet (man/woman). 15-20 min away from the city center by train + 10 min walking distance to the train .
Great stay, excellent staff, good things to do, and all in an lovely neighborhood just a bus ride from the loop. No problems to hear if the neighbour got lucky...A bit to easy as a fact, sond pass good througg those doors.
Location, staff and facilities
The chicago getaway hostel was a fun, hip place to stay in the heart of the city. Really close to everything and friendly people and staff. I would definetly stay again. Nothing really. Once you realize you are paying for a hostel, and not a hotel, everything is great.
Location, close to Lincoln Park and easy access into the city. Some staff were really friendly, others were abrupt.. and the rooms were really hot in summer.
This hostel was one of the nicest I've visited. The mattress was great, the staff was great, the price was reasonable, the location was central, and the facility was large, well-maintained and comfortable. I would stay there again! Great spot.
Basic, but very nice breakfast. I especially liked to see 3 kinds of fruit most days. Nice outside space. Was very good to have free wifi in the room. My husband and I stayed in a private room with bathroom for a week, and the room wasn't cleaned once. Now that's not a huge problem, but we had to use the same towels for a week as well. Another small problem was that people were sitting outside on the patio and talking at 3 am. Fortuntaly, they weren't too loud.
Location was awesome! Very cool neighborhood, super close to the train. Rooftop deck has a great view and folks like to hang out up there at night and get to know each other. Nice, clean bathrooms. Free pancakes every morning! Customer service was lacking, our room got changed at the last minute and the website suggested free on site parking but really we had to park about 8 blocks away.
the location, friendly staff and breakfast!! bathrooms were shared and needed more hot water and a fix on the door hardware.
This hotel's ocation is it's best advanatage.
The room is very clean and comfortable...although the bathroom was the shared facility, the cleanness was beyond my expectation...the hotel is located in the Greektown, pubic transit is accessible within walking distance...the hotel staffs were nice, friendly and helpful...all in all it was very good value for money... The building has several stories and does not have a lift. So if you have a lot of bags, it could be quite some exercise taking them up to your room.
convenient location 1. At breakfast, the man was very angry.
The sheets were clean and nice. We were not aware that the hotel was a hostel. Bathroom facilities down the hall. Room was bare. We had a room on the third floor with no elevator service. My husband had a soft cast on his foot and needed to walk with a cane. No staff to help us with luggage.
This is ok if you aren't too fussy and can go with the flow. It's a bed for the night and is warm but that's about it. The big plus is the common area - free internet and big plasma screen TV. You have to go into a resteraunt and ask for the owner to come down which can take some time and isn't ideal if you've been traveling for a while. They had no record of my booking and made me feel like they were put out to have me there. It seems they are still doing building work in the halls, there are no hair dryers and the toilet cubicles are tiny.
Very nice free breakfast It was noisy, but on informing the desk they took care of it.
Location near downtown and cta, room and bathroom cleaness. Hotel don't have lift. The climbing at 3rd floor after travel from Europe with 15 kg luggage only for full fit PEOPLE.The recception desk's worker was not interested how guest reach her/his room.
The breakfast was ok. No elevators, and the building is old and squeaky, very small, not enough showers, internet was slow, construction on building during stay
Close to bus and train surprised by linen fee ($3) and key deposit ($10)

Friendly helpful staff
I've stayed in many hostels, and this was one of the coolest, between the neighborhood, restaurant, lounge area, decor, very nice bathrooms, and private rooms for such a low-cost. I came home with a few suspicious looking bites on my backs and legs. Not cool......... I know it's budget lodging but I've stayed in worse hostels without getting bed bug bites.
The room is simple and small, but the basement provided a common place which includes everthing - kithen, couch, TV, computers, free breakfast, table soccer, books, games, tea and coffee, very convinent!
Nothing it was terrible. It was just 1 small, dorm like room, that could fit 4 people. The wifi was very slow. We had to wait for other people to finish using the bathrooms. The bathrooms inside were unsanitary and not clean. We had to climb up stairs with our luggage.
Only the location. The price (rate) is much higher than th facilities avaiable The sharing of rest room for 4 rooms and poor uninviting breakfast service.
This is more a dorm style accommodations, but the room was exactly what we needed, a place to sleep, shower, and hold our things while we were out. Perfect spot, cheap, and super friendly staff! About the only bad thing is the mattresses were a bit uncomfortable. If you have back problems, I wouldn't recommend it.
Perfect for a solo trip. Since it's close to the Blue line its easy to get around the city. The bathrooms could have used more regular attention.
Very quaint, fun place to stay. Very close to cool restaurants and clubs. Just two blocks from the train station to get to downtown. The price was very reasonable.

This is a very clean hostel. The walls are pretty thin. Though we had no issues with other people being loud, we could constantly hear doors slamming. I would recommend that they tell their patrons to refrain from letting the doors slam.
Even though it is a hostel, it was quite clean and felt pretty homey, so that was a plus. I wish there were more bathrooms.
Everything was ok Nothing
The facility is extremely welcoming. The staff are very helpful and nice. Much is provided at a low cost. I went to Chicago on a whim and ended up staying for three nights at Wrigley Hostel. I absolutely enjoyed my stay and would gladly stay there again. The only down side, if one can call it such, is the location. The hostel resides in a very nice neighborhood. I was not concerned about safety. However, this nice neighborhood is about fifteen minutes from the city center. You will end up riding the subway a lot.
Comfy beds. Nice staff. Nice location. Nothing displeased me.
