Overview

Columbus sits on the Tombigbee River in east Mississippi near the Alabama line, a historic town of preserved homes and the busy Columbus Air Force Base. The Best Western Executive Suites makes a comfortable base in Columbus, Mississippi, close to the air base, the historic districts, the riverwalk, and the university towns of the region. Service members at the air base and visiting families find a quick commute and an easy base here. The rooms hold a flat-screen TV, microwave, and refrigerator, a free breakfast opens the morning, and the fitness room is there when you want it. Columbus preserves a deep stock of nineteenth-century homes, with a spring pilgrimage that opens many to visitors. The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway runs past Columbus, with marinas and parks along its banks. History and the river, base visits, and the college towns all sit close by. Settle in and let east Mississippi set the pace.
