Nothing at all, needs updating!everything Everything...
Excellent stay. Staff was wonderful. Will definitely go back.
I've stayed at this hotel at least 5 other times in the past. The location is great and the hotel facilities are good. Great waterfront pool. A nice continental breakfast is available and includes the Sunday paper. Hopefully, it was just our room but the toilet never worked properly and the A/C broke down the second day (stayed 4 nights) and someone fixed it but it broke down again in the middle of the third night...hot September night. We had to "negotiate" a new room with the front desk and they gave us a waterfront room (ours was city view) which regardless of the view was totally upgraded unlike our city view room. The cost was not that different. I don't think the customer service was all that great either. I like the hotel and might stay again but only if I can afford a water view room. Ours water old and distressed but still not a cheap stay.
The desk staff was friendly in all cases but one but he seems less interested in us as customers. Then on the other hand one young man was great and very cooperative. The bathroom facilities in the rooms were very confining for two people. Great place to just relax and nice location. The bathroom was tiny.. Traffic was hard to safely exist at times. The facility is older but well kept. The continental breakfast was lacking. The facility was great but breakfast was a bust.
I loved the location on the harbor. It was very peaceful and the balcony let in plenty of afternoon sun if you didn't want to go down to the pool or small beach area. The continental breakfast was nice and though it didn't have any hot options, it had a good selection: hard boiled eggs, yogurt, Jimmy Dean sausage biscuit, muffins, cereal, etc. The staff was very nice. The beds were comfy. It was also a great location to walk to various restaurants in the area. The bathroom was very small and had some mildew spots at the ceiling. We also had a problem with our toilet running consistently which didn't make for as restful sleep as we could have had. The pool and beach area were quite small but seemed mostly sufficient for the size of the hotel.
The view and location was great. Very run down facility. Stains on ceiling, smelled musty and was very dirty overall. Found 2 cockroaches in the tub one morning, linens smelled sour, no liner for ice bucket, no plugs for tub or sink, security chain on door was ripped off, and cracks around door were so large (specifically under the door) that I had to roll a towel up to block the hallway light from coming into room at night. Not worth the money I paid. Very disappointing.
This hotel was awesome!!! Staffing made it even greater, they took such good care of us while staying for our honeymoon. Will we visit again, of course! They even gave us postcards to mail to our parents & guest - outstanding! Breakfast was good, just add real breakfast meat.
Great view of the bay! It's walking distance to all the restaurants and bars. You can wake up, go to your balcony and watch boats leave the harbour. Staff was great. The building is from the 50's. It's not in bad shape cause it's been remodeled to fit in but if you are looking for super schnazzy, this might not be for you.
location could walk everywhere on the harbor Had to leave and pick up daughter at airport . Sea Food Fest. visitors had taken over parking lot and we had to park one half mile and walk to INN with baggage and back to get car in moring
Room was clean and beds comfortable. Good hot water. I had the "town view" which was the parking lot/road. The harbor view rooms were probably nicer. I was able to open the sliding door onto a small balcony, so that was nice. Got some fresh air into the room. AC worked. Minimal breakfast, but OK. Basic needs met. Rooms were old and sad. Exposed pipes, low, popcorn ceilings, basically covered cement walls. Bathtub had cracks on bottom and all fixtures and toilet were old, old, old. Expected more for the money -- this was not on the beach at all, but a harbor, so a little pricey for what the room ended up to be.
Good location that's convenient to numerous points of interest in Destin. Enjoyed the option of the pool or the private beach that was on the harbor. I appreciate the fact parking was available without issue despite the fact the hotel was sold out. An older property that definitely shows its age. Bathroom area was cozy with older fixtures. Furniture was worn to the point that it should have been replaced. Beds had some mileage on them. Despite the convenient location, I'm not sure I would stay here again unless the price was more reflective of the age and size of the rooms?
Location was great. We were in walking distance to the boardwalk. We brought a kayak and paddle board and put in at the hotel and paddled around the harbor. The staff was very friendly. They have done some renovations to make the room and property more modern. Enjoyed the balcony overlooking water. It's an older property and while they have done some updating, it's still has a way to go. The bathroom tub and commode were old making it feel dirty even though it wasn't and it was very small. It was fine for one or two nights but I probably wouldn't want to stay there longer. The breakfast was ok. It was cereal, muffins, yogurt, choice of breads and pastries and instant oatmeal. Wasn't great but wasn't terrible either. I would stay again.
Staff friendly but could not help. Locks on room door were broken. We just stayed one night and could lock door from inside. Wouldn't have stayed again. Front desk person said there was nothing she could do until Monday and there were no other rooms available. No discount was offered. Manager needs to give employees ways to solve issues
nothing! Everything! Smelly rooms! No internet ,,when states they have! Gave us a room with locks broke on it! We checked out an left , enough was to much! This was our vacation..we spend hours messing with this..when we were suppose to of been enjoying our selfs! Listen it has been 15 years since me & steve had a vacation this far away from home! An we had to deal with this! I really like a response!
I got such a great deal on the room! I loved that it had a pool and hot tub. I didn't use them this trip, but maybe I will on another one. The bed and bedding were great! The Wolfgang coffee was so much better than the usual hotel coffee! The stains on the carpet. It looked clean though.
The location to my personal destinations The entire property is unstaffed and spread too thin to accommodate the occupancy during my 8 day stay. Breakfast area was not clean and never a suffice amount of food to support the guest. The outside propert lights in the parking were burned out or never turned on even after I advised the Manger or General Manager of the unsafe conditions at night. The staff although very friendly had the "not my job, go tell it someone else" attitude. Too many times we had to go off site for the "Free Breakfast" included in our pricing. Housekeeping was always it or miss, to inconsistent for a property like this. I would not recommend this property for a stay in this area. Too many other options available until this Hotel makes some changes or trains additional stakeholders.
Not much Smelled, bath tub wouldn't drain, light shades broken and old
While visiting Destin to see an old friend, the stay was more than helpful when I asked for suggestions in the area. The place was clean and Comfortable and at a very goo rate. When I checked out I notified the front dest that I may have misplaced my Dallas Police badge in the room. Upon arriving back home, the Hotel notified that the staff had indeed located the badge and it was being sent to my address. This was the epitomey of honesty! Thank you!
Very nice and restful at a very reasonable price!!
I loved the closeness to the beach, restaurants, attractions and shopping. The hotel is updated with a nice room..loved the king bed, the breakfast was typical make your own waffles, yogurt, fruit, eggs..beverages. Ohhh and the cookies they have in the evening at the front desk was a plus! The staff was great and I would visit them again.Great place to get away from the daily grind of life and unwind.
Breakfast was good. Scrambled eggs and sausage were a nice surprise. Orange juice was bit watered down but drinkable. Coffee was very good. Room was comfortable and smelled clean. Slept very well. Not enough table/shelf space for our stuff. A little extra table would have been nice. The toilet paper they are using is absolutely horrible!!!
The hotel was very clean and the bed was super comfy. I would stay there again when I visit Destin next time.
Staff was great Location was good Price was good Room is good not great but it was great for a quick two day trip Overall I will stay here again! The breakfast isn't good Need more options
Friendly staff & excellent breakfast Mattress had soft spot on one side as if the springs had failed.
I didn't rate 5 because they were remodeling by the time we arrived. That was a bad surprise at the moment but they were prepared to handle the situation and they did it very good. They put us in a room away from the noise and actually we didn't any problem with this. The staff was great, they were very friendly and solved quickly a problem with the phone. The hotel is 5 minutes from the outlet center and very close to the beach. Lot of places to eat.
The hotel was a couple of blocks off the beach with plenty of public access. The room was adaquate but the air conditioning could not pull the moisture out of the room so there was a distinct odor of mildew.
The hotel was quiet and well located to visit the area's many attractions. We stayed here to go off shore fishing for two days. We took advantage of the free breakfast before going fishing and it was a great selection each morning. This was the best free breakfast I've ever found at any hotel.
Stayed here several times and have always had a good experience. Rooms are clean and the complimentary breakfasts is decent. Best part is the 7 min walk to the beach. I will continue to stay here for future trips to Destin.
Good value for the economy price, nice pool for kids and pleasant but small lobby. There was no early check-in during Spring Break.
Upon check-in, there was a dirty washcloth still in the bathtub. During the stay, the housekeepers didn't empty a full can of garbage one day nor did they leave a bath mat or adequate toilet paper, resulting in a late night run to the front desk. The breakfast was decent each morning. If you choose to stay here, try to request the top floor---we were on the first floor, and Big Foot was in the room above us. The location was great---right across the street from the Destin Commons mall, and on the same side of the highway as the beach, which was within walking distance. Outback and Barnes and Noble are right next door, too. It was much cheaper than a condo, and if it's too cold to hang out on the beach anyway, why spend the extra money?
My boyfriend and I decided to go to Destin for the weekend with a couple of friends. My boyfriend's friend couldn't stop saying what a great location the hotel was in. It was close to the beach, Destin Commons was right across the way and Silver Sands Outlet was down the highway. We enjoyed our room and the beds were comfortable. I must say the only problem with was the noise up above our room. The hotel only has 3 floors our room was on the second floor and their room was on the third and they still heard loud noise above their room.
i would stay at the hotel again and recommend others to stay there also.
Holiday Inn Express always seems to have consistently good hotels. After a string of 'not what we expected' hotels during our trip, this final destination was just what we needed! It was very roomy, clean, and inviting. The beds were comfortable and we loved the microwave/frig/coffee pot area with cabinets. \n \nThe hotel is not directly on the beach. However, it is only a block from the beach and it is a very easy walk. Breakfast was good and the staff was very nice. \n \nOur friends that we met up with paid $* a night for their condo. Ours was a much better value for the money and I would definately stay here again..... probably next year!
although the staff was friendly, we were close to the beach and rooms weren't bad ~ there are rooms on that are allowed to smoke. The whole point of getting a 'non-smoking room' is because we didn't want to smell it...having rooms on the same floor that smoke makes that impossible.
I was very impressed with this hotel. Beds were super comfortable, bathroom spacious, plenty of towels, etc. and temp adjustable right at your fingertips. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the topper!! Nice little buffet with eggs, bacon, biscuits, sauage & gravy, bagels, enlish muffins, breakfast muffins, cereals, yogurts, juices...just everything...and it's FREE!! Couldn't ask for better than that! With it's location across from Destin Commons and other shopping strip malls, we will definitely stay at this hotel again.
Beds were comfortable and appeared clean. Price was good. Bathrooms had mold all around the corners and up sides of walls Floor was not clean in room. Tile floor in bathroom in bad shape and dirty Stairs were very dirty and the railing was wobbly. Breakfast was horrible. A bowl of cereal would be all that was tempting. The whole breakfast area was unattended to and needed cleaning. Night time attendant was not very attentive.
The location is great for my type of stay. The Bed was squeaky
Have not found a better room in Destin for the money and I visit regularly great price clean relatively comfy good general location If I had a problem with this hotel it would be the beds aren't the most comfortable in the world but after a weekend at nighttown who cares right, and the bathroom is tiny but fully functional
The staff was very friendly. There were roaches in our room and the smell of mold was overwhelming.
The hotel was comfy and clean. Recently renovated and a nice pool. I would definitely stay here again.
Pulling up it doesn't look very nice but they've recently remodeled so the room so it was a pleasant surprise. Hardwood floors, large mounted flat screen, and nice hot water in the shower, for the price I will definitely return. Also the free continental breakfast was good. We actually passed the hotel a couple of times because there's no sign out by the street showing where it is, the floors were very dirty and the bed was kind of hard. Those minor things didn't affect my trip though and I would stay agin
For being just a quick get away for the weekend. Nice and quiet! Having to pay for ice. Have never been to a hotel that you had to pay for ice.
Location The hotel was rated "Good" by Kayak and that was the reason I booked it. This hotel needs to be rated "Okay" or "Mediocre".
My boyfriend and I planned to stay here on the last night of our vacation. Unfortunately, we had a family emergency arise in which my elderly grandmother was hospitalized. Thus we had to cut our trip short and head back home. We tried calling Destin inn and suites to cancel our room and see if there was any way we could get some sort of refund and they refused to consider it. I understand that hotels must have some sort of cancellation policy in place but the very cold way they acted about our situation was the worst customer service I have received. When we are back in Destin I will definitely find another hotel to stay at.
Everyone was super nice and the rooms were amazing... We loved the hardwood floors. There were people painting and doing repairs but they were very quiet and respectful of quests.
The price was about the only appealing thing about this hotel. This hotel was recently renovated and the photos made it look really nice. When you walk in the musty smell hits you immediately. The bathroom floor was always wet not matter how many towels you put down. The shower curtain rod was hanging up by a thread and the shower curtain itself was molded. Many things wrong including the ancient loud mattress. Will not stay here again. Front desk agent friendliness was okay at best, +1 service was not on his mind.
Pool and breakfast bar.
The room was big, clean, comfortable, and had a decent view. The phones were busy for over a day as we tried to call to confirm because we had to change dates. When I called the Hilton corporate offices they had horrible customer support and acted like they didn't card and couldn't do anything to help me. When I got to the hotel the lady behind the desk was friendly and apologized and said that corporate had been informed, and confirmed our room. Even offered is free breakfast for our troubles.
Great pool, real close to the beach. Studio suites are good size for a family of 5. Breakfast was ok, the waffles are good, the other "hot" stuff was kind of yuck. Great hotel.
Minutes from Miramar and Destin beaches. Nice tucked away location. Nothing stood out as subpar. Gas station, liquor store, fast food basically in the parking lot. Quite convenient.
We chose to stay at this location for the price, and it was better than what I expected. I was a little nervous after reading the prior reviews, but the room was clean and comfortable and was a good value for the money. If you want to be in destin, this is a good place. However, if your goal is to be in Fort Walton, this place is a little inconvenient due to traffic.
The staff where professionals, and would jump through hoops to make their guests happy. Well you would think there would be a heated pool of that's highlighted as an amenity, so it could be used year round in a local like the emerald coast... Also to be told I would not have house keeping the entire stay kind of disappointed me due to the cost of my stay, I didn't feel I should have to clean the room or make the beds.
Everything was up to standard, it was a good place to sleep, eat and get ready to go out. it was in a great location easy in and easy out stores were close enough you didn't have to drive to get snacks and alcohol. employees were helpful and polite it was not a bad experience. there wasn't much not to like but you had to ask the front desk for glasses, utensils, extra towels, etc... they were always nice about it but it did become and small inconvenience.
Friendly staff- always there to help. Breakfast was good and hot each morning, spacious rooms, it was a wonderful stay!!!
We loved the hotel. The room was very nice but could use just a little more attention from the room service staff. The breakfast that was offered was really standard continental breakfast. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody. They have a great staff and very nice rooms. There were only two things that we didn't like about our stay. One was the bed, it was very used and soft witch made for a bad nights sleep. Two was the fact that you had to cross four lanes of traffic on a very busy road to get to the beach.
Great breakfast until 10 Wasn't overtly unclean Not too far from Henderson Beach or The Back Porch The on site laundry was nice and convenient, not too expensive at $2/machine/load Bed was spacious but uncomfortable. Didn't strike me as terribly clean. The A/C unto kept making this horrible screechy noise off and on. The normal complementary supplies available at other establishments (toothpaste, razors, q-tips, etc.) were for sale in the lobby, which to me seemed tacky, especially when you're paying $200/night for Motel 6 caliber accommodations. The gentleman responsible for cleaning up the dining area after breakfast clearly hates his job and resents the guests for eating there. At ten on the dot he turns off the lights and stomps around making a big production of cleaning up the breakfast supplies. Pool didn't look very clean and was pretty small. "The Track" go-kart park is right next door and very loud. The single elevator takes FOREVER - plan ahead!
Friendliness of the the staff. Always cheerful and helping The noise of the play area next door, but I'm at a diffetent stage in my life. If I had young kids I'm sure it would be different.
Great location to the beach and short distance from restaurants and activities. Overall very good for price. No biscuits and gravy
Good location, 5 minute drive from the beach. Nice room, good breakfast. Good value for the money The beds were very hard. For a few nights it's ok but this was very uncomfortable bed. Perhaps may be other rooms were better and we just got unlucky. Overall it was a good, not expensive hotel.
Close to public beach access, friendly staff. Needs updating, same trash on the bathroom floor for 5 days, housekeeping could do a better job.
Staff that was there was very nice and helpfull. Check in was slow due to have togathering my information that was already sent to them.the staff was trying to do multiple jobs due to staff call offs, like run main desknd the breakfast area at the same time.
Spacious room, plenty of towels, quiet room Air conditioner not working 1st night, but repaired next day when reported
The staff was very pleasant and the hotel itself was clean. The breakfast could be much better.
Location Carpet was saturated in corner of room. The rest of the carpet was damp and sticky. We had to wash our feet before bed. Hotel staff said there wasn't anything they could do and we are still waiting for the call we were promised from the manager. $---
It was very centrally located and close to many great places to eat (and the beach). The hotel room was below average - the lampshade was crushed, the full-length mirror on the closet door was cracked all the way across, we were only allowed a couple of towels (according to the front desk attendant), and the hot tub was broken.
location breakfast poorly, very poorly stocked--no cream cheese, out of coffee, out of OJworst toilet paper in the worldinadequate housekeeping
Location. The pool was supposed to be heated but was not heated. A heated pool was a big factor in our choosing this hotel. So it was a big disappointment that it was not heated. The heating was apparently broken. Also, there is a hotel fee per night.
Staff was awesome! Hot tub was out of order :-( Other than that our stay was perfect!
The staff was very friendly, the room was spacious, clean, the bed comfortable, and close proximity to Destin, FL., one of our favorite vacation destinations. It wasn't on the beach..., but we knew that when we booked :)!!!
The friendly staff very helpful The bathrooms are being upgraded, vents did not work.
Great location, friendly staff, clean room, good breakfast
We had a multitude of issues from this establishment resulting in them canceling our room without warning, or contact. We ended up stranded with no place to stay until we found another hotel. The staff was unpleasant, and didn't care about their guest.
The complementary breakfast, the exquisite atrium, and proximity to beach were the best points of this hotel. The bed in the bedroom was too high. The hideabed was too hard.
everything was awesome. i would definately stay here again. the suite was great and homelike. the breakfast was awesome as well. i would definately recommend embassy suites to everyone.
It was nice that they have " happy hours" included. The water is very close and convenient. Overall very nice experience.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Beach access was nice. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
Free Buffet...close to beach
Better than 2 star rating. Sloppy calking around shower stall and no hand held shower wand.
fine location; reasonably priced for the market. I have stayed there 2x and will again. Staff is attentive and polite. My only complaint is the hallways could be a little cleaner and both rooms I stayed in the toilets ran some. Nice free breakfast.
It had a pool The breakfast area was too small for the amount of guest there was.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
The thing I liked about the hotel was it being surrounded by the shopping centers.

Location There was contstruction going on and my room was near it so I wasn't very happy with that fact but otherwise OK. Just expected more from previous stays at this chain. This one needs a facelift pretty bad.
Entering the room looked very clean and there was no smell. Room was very small, stain and hair on bed.
The location was great The room smelled like feet. Hotel going through tons of renovations. Elevator broken. Wet paint everywhere. Extremely loud all day long.
staff was attentive to detail with guest and room was very clean and organized. Breakfast was well stocked and staff was very helpful.
it was right next to the outlets and not far from the beach We had cockroaches in our room
The staff is amazing and very friendly and always smiling and greet you every time they see you. The location is amazing stores all around and places to eat. this is not a big deal but the bathroom did not have a door on it for privacy but as i said no big deal.
the location was great for us... full breakfast was great... staff was friendly the best wasn't as nice as other Hampton Inns we've stayed in
The hotel was conveniently located for site-seeing and restaurants. Although they were undergoing renovations, the hotel was clean and debris was minimal. The temperature of the room was difficult to control; the beds were comfortable, but became hot during the night, even without covers.
The hotel is in front of shoppin center They clean until 12:00 AM
High cost of room service for basic items
Location In room safe and refrigerator were not operable and had to be replaced. Upholstered furniture is stained.
Our oceanfront suite was very impressive! It was modern, comfortable and romantic. It met all our needs!
rooms were large and comfortable. Beds were very good. Beach view was great, shopping and golf nearby was a plus. satellite tv was down Friday evening so unable to watch television
I like the size of the room and the staff was great! The only thing that made is not as good was the floor was wet and we had to wear shoes while on the carpet because our feet would get sticky from the carpet and dirty. The toliet was dirty and there was some mold arounf the bath tub.
Clean easy to get around They hogged the beach with there pricey umbrellas and didn't let us into the gym because we had a child with us therefor we couldn't work out the stay because we had a child.
The location is great, very close to the beach (we walked there several times) the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a bit smaller than we anticipated ( had double queen) we had 2 couples and it was a bit cramped with luggage and coolers. However for a quick stay the price was great and convenient for a very fast beach trip.
The beds were great! The continental breakfast was good. Sometimes hard to get out of parking lot due to traffic but manageable.
how close it was to the beach the construction in the arae
Great location with a water view from the top floors. Building showing its age despite a modern updated feel. Some peeling paint in the bathroom.
All the staff that we dealt with were polite and helpful. Rooms were clean for the age of the hotel. Close to public beach and restaurants. Easy location. Shower heads were weak and had a very wide spray. It was difficult for my 6 year old to wash her hair.
Very worth the money for one night before checking into our condo. We will definitely try to stay here again next year. Check in was easy Breakfast was great (waffles, biscuits, cereal, pastries, coffee, juice, etc) Rooms mostly Looked and felt clean Beds comfortable Staff very friendly The floor/carpet had my bare feet dirty after just a little bit of walking be around barefoot, but I'm not sure that can be helped because so close to the beach. Wasn't a huge deal, We just kept our shoes on once we realized it. It won't keep us from staying here again bc the rest of the experience was great.
i liked the short breezeway type hallways poor parking lot
This being a great Location was the only thing that saved this review. The stench of mildew was overpowering the room. It left everything feeling damp and musty. A good suggestion would be to install a dehumidifier in every room. I could not walk on carpet without shoes on. I will not be going back nor do I recommend to anyone. Hope this review helps someone who is considering this hotel.
-Quick entry/exit process (seconds for each). -Staff responded immediately to an issue with the TV and repaired within 2 minutes. -Bedding was reasonably comfortable. -It was clearly either a smoking room, or the previous tenant smoked in the room. There was no mention of that. -Small detail, but it seemed odd to not have even a small trash can in the bathroom. -Could use some modernization (mini fridge/microwave/coffee pot).
Price. Inclusive Brkfst. Location to Beach & other amenities Staff was friendly & courteous The Room Service started off OK but slowly declined. I.e. No bed making unless told, no fresh shower mat. Room seemed somewhat damp. Nothing dried out very well especially bathroom. Brkfst items declined after 9am on certain days. Poor ventilation thru-out. A nice heat lamp in bathroom would b ideal Condition of room clean but ceiling & curtains need upgrade
It was very clean and right off highway. There is no real dining room to have your breakfasts so you have to grab food and go back to your room. It was very hot as hallway have no a/c and the one elevator in whole building was very slow and hot! Also it is not "right across from ocean" as your view is other buildings actually on the water.
Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Nice buffet breakfast. Clear pool. 1 minute drive to free parking for beach. 6-7 min walk to the beach from the hotel. All the staff were very nice. 5 minute drive to Destin with no traffic. 15 min drive with traffic. Short drive to the grocery shopping at Publix. Short walk or drive to restaurants. Room door opened to the open hall way.
far exceed expectations. perfect location for us. i will be back. way better than the star rating it has.
Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and the location was great. Rooms were a little loud. Could hear everything outside.
It was in Destin and the only place available for the dates we needed. The staff was very nice and helpful. The front desk clerk tried to solve each issue but it wasn't possible. Walking distance to Pizza Hut, Chick Fil A, Waffle House & Big Kahunas Not worth $---for 2 nights! Blood stains on the bedspread, broken refrigerator and coffee pot in the room, carpet was very old, dirty, and worn, broken ice maker, the pool had very cloudy water. The public beach was not within walking distance.
Location Homeless people in the parking lot, it seemed like suspicions, people in out of a room, drugs possibly. Rooms, espcially bathrooms need updating, baths have mold!
Price Not enough parking
Great location and pricing
location Don't mind older/established facilities but need to maintain. Need to replace old/damaged/worn out items.
Roaches! Roaches! Roaches! Dirty pool, and still have not received my deposit. Corporate will be called.
Location. Swimming pool was small and smelled too much like chlorine.
The price was fair and they refunded when we decided to leave a day early. The biscuits at the free breakfast were very hard and tasted old.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Swimming pool, soft bed there was no outside picture of the hotel on the website and I felt a little deceived about where I was going to stay. The exterior of the building reminded me of one of those sleazy hotel and there was a guy hanging out his door nude trying to speak to the children.
It was in walking distance to the boardwalk at the Destin Harbor.
location, convenient to good restaurants and nightlife. WiFi connection hotel needs to improve on landscaping and upgrade the rooms
Only thing we liked was location. Dirty, dirty, dirty! We didn't like the fact that we had to wear shoes inside. Even after a shower, as soon as we walked on carpet our feet turned BLACK. The light above sink kept going out and there weren't enough outlets to turn on lamp that was in room. There were too many appliances plugged into an attached plug in outlet. We came back from beach and maintenance was airing out our room. They said we left coffee pot on and it burned the outlet, wires, microwave, fridge. When we told them we made sure twice it was turned off ( I'm OCD about these things) it was our word against theirs. They didn't bother telling us that we were being charged 236.00 until we checked out. The comforter was filthy, tub and floors filthy. Also, the wifi only worked about 10% of the time.
For the value in fall you can't beat it. It was within walking distance to restuarants and the Harbor Walk shopping. It is across the street from the Harbor. There are all kinds of way side parks to go to the beach. The beds have been updated and are super comfy. A little older facility but still nice for the vaiue. In fall it was only 60.00.
Cheap Ants in the room
price was good
The only thing to like about this place is the location and that there is a Waffle House in the parking lot. When we first got to the hotel, we could tell that it was going to be dirty. The parking lot is a wreck and suffers from no upkeep. The lobby had a very musty, awkward smell to it and is very confused in terms of decor. The only thing worth looking at were the fish on the walls. Check in didn't take much time at all and the lady at the desk was friendly. When we got to our room, (214) it as well had a musty wet smell to it that was covered up by the smell of Lysol. The floor had huge stains everywhere, there was thick dust everywhere specifically on the headboards, there were small roaches in the tub, and to top it off, the maintenance man was not finished in our room (even though we were told it was ready). He had to run an extension chord to the lamp next to the door from the 1 outlet between the beds just so that lamp would work. There were no available outlets in the room... We couldn't plug in our phones next to the bed because the 1 outlet had lamps plugged into it. Wouldn't have been a problem if there was at least 1 light on the ceiling, but there wasn't. The bed was absolute hell. I woke up feeling worse than i ever have in years. The pillows were flat and had no support unless you used 3. Yes, 3. The bathroom towels were really small and very rough... The next day, the safe in the room (that we were NOT using) randomly started beeping over and over. We hadn't touched it or even looked at it untill this started happening. Finally we had enough and called the front desk. They sent someone up 20 minutes later and fixed the problem. No apology was given... Needless to say, we will never stay at this hotel again.
Location is great Ac didn't work Water pressure sucked Asked got extra towels and never got them. Room service didn't clean the room or change the beds, just took the dirty towels and left clean ones
The location was perfect. smelt like sewage leak and mold. Floor was not clean for a baby.
Nothing The shower was mildew, the spreads and towels were not washed. The smell wasn't clean.
-Close to attractions but so are most of the other budget friendly hotels. -Room had mold in between doorway -Poorly cleaned during our stay -no shampoo provided -VERY POOR WiFi. Not worth the extra fee that I charged. -Room smelled as if they don't use any cleaning products. -Bed covers and sheets had stains
I couldn't find anything that I liked Rooms not clean. Had to ask repeatedly for clean towels. Poor parking. Very understaffed. Over priced for the quality of the room
Nothing It's was awful. We checked in and went to the room. It was dirty upon arrival. I requested clean sheets due to all the hair that was on them. They brought them to us quickly. When we removed the blankets, there was dried blood (not blood stains) and a clump of black hair (we are both blonde). And the headboard of the bed was leaning into the bed, not even fixed to the wall. We immediately checked out. We requested a refund which they said they couldn't do. I did take pictures.
Very close to restaurants and attractions They didn't clean my room once, always had to ask for towels
That is so close to the beach The employees are super rude. They didn't have my room ready for an hour and a half after they was suppose to. People was smoking pot and saleing it in front of my kids . It was awful and I will not go back
Newly remodeled rooms where nice. Hard wood floors.
I liked the view and closeness to the beach. I didn't like the fact that the house keeping staff could not speak English and made it very difficult to get the room cleaned in the proper way.
Waterfall bar Dirty and small rooms
The view from the room was great Staff was friendly Convenient location The hallway are creepy The tub needs updating now! The green door need to be painted another color Smelled like cigarettes and air freshener in the hall and elevator BAD PARKING not enough spaces guest room doors slamming shut all night
The beach & grotto The breakfast was a little pricey, most hotels we stay at include free breakfast
I loved that it was right on the beach, comfy beds, fridge in room, decent restaurants on site and within walking distance, awesome pool and grotto bar area, laundry room on site, heated pool for night time, grills to use on beach patio, would definitely come back!!! DO NOT EVER GO ON 4th of JULY WEEKEND!!! There is a HUGE, very weird Christian cult that comes every year. There were at least 200 of them, doing baptisms in the ocean all day, and at night was just trying to walk to my chair with my boyfriend to have a drink, listen to music, talk, look at the stars, and had to walk through a huge gathering of them all kneeling in rows staring at the ocean silently--thought they were looking at fireworks or something at first but noooo. Felt weird to have to walk through them but too many to go around. Pick another weekend and it will be great! Also, they make you check out at 11:30 and want you to turn in your wristband, so if you want to stay that afternoon, hide them and tell them you lost them. You will have to pay $10 a piece but worth it if you want to enjoy rest of day
