10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel and great food
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location, brilliant staff & great facilities
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great views, very friendly staff, lovely decor
Cons: Being charged £5 for water offered with our evening meal
7.0 Good
Pros: Wonderful location, facilities were great, the entrance to the hotel made you feel like you were somewhere special. Very nicely laid out. Plenty of staff... Just needed management attention to detail.
Cons: Management staff were friendly but the working face staff were very young and just there to do the job description and no more. I came to reception to request that the lack of dusting above eye level be rectified as our ceiling was draped very heavily in thick cobwebs above the bed and in general around the room. It showed that the room was not fully cleaned daily but the minimum was done at speed. The bathroom appliances were nicely clean but the floors were just given a very cursory level of attention. My request was ignored and when I mentioned it at check out I was just told.. "oh, sorry." in a disinterested manner.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms, friendly staff and great spa facilities. Very well placed for a weekend exploring the Cotswolds.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Spa was good - although use was restricted to early morning and evening only without incurring an extra charge. Food in the brasserie was good - breakfast especially. Table for dinner was not in a good place though.
Cons: Our room was booked as "Double with Lake View" for which I paid extra. The position of the room was at the bottom of a "U"shape inlet so didn't really have a view of the lake. The room was cold - no heating - to which the response we got was "Oh dear". The toilet seat was loose! The carpet has stains on it. Small TV on the wall! Room not to the required standard. It was also as far away from reception as you could get virtually.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The views are amazing and picturesque.
Cons: Whilst the breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful, the hot food was a little bit cold.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful scenery and lovely hotel. Spa facilities were great and breakfast was very good (we had it included but not sure I’d pay £15pp for it). Very comfy bed and the lake view was gorgeous!
Cons: Room was a little tired - stains in the carpet and hairdryer overheated after 30 seconds of use. Bathroom was a bit dated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent amenities and friendly staff.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: We have had the most wonderful stay here. It's a beautiful hotel in a great location. The staff are so kind. When we arrived, I explained to staff member, Jo, that we'd just got engaged after walking the Thames. Not only did she promptly bring us fizz and took photos, she then called the restaurant we had booked and they brought us fizz too. What a wonderful surprise from a wonderful staff member. Thanks so much for a memorable stay.
Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Superior Room Suite. Pillows not comfortable. Towels poor quality. Poor choice of tea / coffee. Poor quality body wash ect.. Noisy air fan. Noisy fan in bathroom. Very few members of staff had to ask to clear tables. I had rang the spa 3 times and left voice mail. I have never had a return call. Would not stay again. Disabled facilities average.
7.1 Good
Pros: Style
Cons: Hot tub out of action
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, great central location, very comfy plus great staff.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was a good size, with a very comfortable bed. It's in a great spot to explore Cirencester, although there is no parking on-site - you need to park in one of the public car parks.
Cons: Nothing specific - it was all very good...the only thing I'd say is that no-one helped me with my luggage and i had two large cases. I was a bit surprised by that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The event we attended was excellent and enjoyed its location. Room 306 was well appointed, clean and ideal for our stay. Staff were friendly, helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble.
Cons: Nothing really, just a little unsure about parking on arrival, but easily resolved.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Spa facilities
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view, spacious apartment. Staff even accommodated a request made when booking to put us in the same apartment we’d stayed in a few months previously, which was hugely appreciated.
Cons: Only issue was we couldn’t turn the bedroom radiator down so it was quite warm. We didn’t tell reception though, and I’m sure they would’ve fixed it if we had done.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great apartment facilities, lovely hotel interiors
Cons: Would have liked longer swimming times as opposed to before 9.30am and after 5. Very limiting with small children
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nice friendly staff....big spacious rooms...it rained when we visited but the location looked lovely. The bar and reception area were well appointed and looked recently refurbished.
Cons: Everywhere very tired. Carpets in corridors stained and dirty. Furniture in room tired and cheap. Carpet/ bedding/ curtains all basic and functional but not upmarket or luxurious. Grout in bathroom missing so sharp edges to tiles on entrance to bath/ shower. Several bulbs needed replacing. no power sockets next to bed. Breakfast very poor. most items cold or luke warm on both mornings. Odd layout to restaurant.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and customer service was absolutely incredible when we told them about the oven we were moved straight away to an even bigger room with a working oven. The location and views of the lake are amazing. Will definitely stay again
Cons: The door to access the kitchen and living room in the apartment was locked and the oven didn't work
7.5 Good
Pros: Spacious apartment, nice views, good location, good facilities, lovely spa area
Cons: Room smelled of the last guests cooking, stains on the carpet that we had to confirm we wouldn’t be charged for, heating thermostat was either on or off, so the first night was freezing and the second was sweltering! Spa times are quite inconvenient for guests unless you pay, and there was a hidden charge for the dog to stay even though it stated it is pet friendly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The apartments were spacious and modern, we will be coming back to stay in the summer!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous views from the apartment, worth the upgrade to have the balcony. The apartment itself was spacious with many facilities. Staff at hotel friendly and helpful. Spa facilities are wonderful when it's quiet, the Friday night at around 9pm was very quiet and we had a lovely time there. Loads of little rabbits running around the surrounding grass, was very nice to see the wildlife.
Cons: Swimming pool and spa facilities extremely busy, genuinely do not think we would have even fit in the room with the amount of people present so unable to use on the Saturday night which was disappointing. The Old Boathouse restaurant extremely overpriced with poor quality of food, extremely disappointed with this and would advise anyone to avoid unless they are willing to waste their money. Carpets in apartment dirty with many stains across various areas, could do with a good clean.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location was very nice, several lakes close by and plenty of hiking routes to explore. The Pool and spa facilities were very good.
Cons: The room we were first allocated had a bad smell and several stains on carpet. We asked to be moved to another room which we were, again several stains on carpet and only a slight improvement of the smell inside. The cutlery provided for self catering apartment was very limited.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole place is fantastic!! The area, the surroundings, the facilities and the apartment!! The best part was the balcony over the lake! Just a shame it rained the whole weekend so we couldn't make the most of it!! The in room services are great although we didn't get to use them all there were options of take aways, bbq supplies and picnic hampers! All very reasonably priced!! Also had a wonderful, well needed massage at spa6! My husband did the cable wake boarding which is the next lake up- thoroughly enjoyed it!! We plan to go back in the summer to make the most of the beautiful surroundings!!
Cons: The pool is a hydro pool which is great but I couldn't take my baby in there, which is something I was looking for when looking for accommodation!! Such a shame, especially with the weather being bad!! The reason I was given as well was that it will be too hot for her which sometimes makes babies sick in the pool!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: the area .great golf ,lovely hotel and apartmeents very clean .and the staff are always helpfull at all times.we have stayed twice now and will be booking again ..many thanks mr and mrs pickard.
Cons: n/a
7.7 Good
Pros: The staff were all superb. Apartment clean & spacious.
Cons: Wasn't aware, if there is one,of an option to request a water view. Our apartment looked out over the car park.
7.0 Good
Pros: the apartment was nice
7.0 Good
Pros: we stayed in an apartment, which was spacious, well equipped and had a feel of luxury about it.
Cons: Because of the large lounge, our neighbours had a party of people in their room which kept us awake both nights, the walls are paper thin, perhaps have signs up about keeping the noise down after 11pm or move beds to other wall. it was a shame because neither of us slept.
7.3 Good
Pros: Excellent facilities in the self catering appartments. Everything clean, modern and in good working order.
Cons: I thought the room service 'take away' service was very poor and the on site 'gastro pub' was very overpriced and of a low standard. There was no really good child friendly food option anywhere which was a shame. If I stayed again, I would not use any of the on site restaurants. Also, a lot of road noise.
6.0 Good
Pros: Good food & friendly staff
Cons:
6.6 Good
Pros: 1 bed apartment was perfect size for two people and outlook over Lake 6 excellent - complete with visiting swans, ducks & coots.
Cons: Not enough kitchen equipment - no casseroles or bowls or oven gloves. Better if there had been another couple of small pans- especially when only cooking for 2. Would have been useful to have grater and extra cutlery (no soup spoons).
6.0 Good
Pros:
Cons: 1. Apartment is confusing. Security key is needed even to access the Lobbt/Kitchenette area. 2. As per website, I was to believe that full English Breakfast is available for gbp 6.00 per head, but I was billed @ 12.95 per head. 3. There is just no utility shop in the vicinity, which is very essential for a foreigner like me, who has to rely on taxi-service for travelling
8.0 Excellent
Pros: wonderful lake view and great board walk around the chotel and lake. huge comfy bed.
Cons:

Pros: The room was excellent staff friendly and the food was very good
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast.
Cons: The bar lacks atmosphere. Staff are summoned by a bell on the bar - I wonder if this is why they seem lack lustre?
6.0 Good
Pros: The bath in the room, the quality of food in the breakfast and restaurant in general
Cons: The corridors seemed really dated, not in the way that it was purposely like that. The windows where sooo loud with the wind/storm last night that it kept us up a lot. The windows need a refit

Pros: Beautiful grounds and very easy to access the hotel from the main road. Good selection of food items for breakfast.
Cons: Room smelt a bit musty, black mould in corner behind chair. Plug in sink didn't work properly and when removed to drain water, plug underside was very dirty. Plug for bath got stuck and we couldn't use the bath. Staff advised sometimes happens.

Pros: The location is great if you want to get away from the city.
Cons: I didn't dislike anything - the only thing I would say is, The girls serving breakfast looked like they had just jumped out of bed. The presentation was poor as they looked scruffy.

Pros: A night away from home for New Years Eve, we took our Labrador and it was perfect, cosy, quiet, beautiful building! Just what we wanted and the food was fantastic!
Cons: Noise from rooms above, very thin ceiling so we’re woken at 7am New Years Day.. could do with a little sound proofing but very old building so expected really. Certainly wouldn’t stop us going back!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We were there on Christmas Eve and, despite the closure, they still managed to supply us with a platter of pastries and fruit for breakfast.
Cons: There was not much that could not be catered for. Maybe a lift to help take luggage up the stairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The New Inn at Coln was the perfect place for us to stay. The village is very small and quiet which is perfect if that's what you're looking for. The staff were all incredibly friendly and the food in the pub (as well as the breakfast) was fantastic. There are walks around the village and surrounding countryside which are all very nice and lots of other villages and country walks are easily accessible (with a car).

6.0 Good
Pros: Rooms were great. Nice bathroom, comfy bed, very clean room. Staff were lovely.
Cons: Breakfast was good, though a bit cold. Location very misleading. Need to update their details to make it clear that the hotel is in an industrial car park and not next to a lovely river.
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed. Staff attentive and helpful at meal times. Good location for secure parking. Town centre 10 min walk.
Cons: When we got back at 4-5pm found room cool. Towel rail never warmed up. Could do with a sign at front of house as was difficult to locate. Almost missed it even though were right by it

7.1 Good
Pros: Decent room, adequate parking, good breakfast, helpful staff but I ate in the restaurant in the evening - the food was disappointing and the restaurant was cold.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable and it was only 10 minutes, from the centre of Cirencester
Cons: There were no staff when we arrived and had to get the key from the gate man. We then had to find our room as there were no indication which floor it was on. The room was dirty, I had to clean the bathroom before I could put our items on the shelve. The whole room was dirty and dusty, I took photos of the dirt on the wipes I used. On Monday morning we were in the dining room having breakfast and the wagon drivers from the business were eating in the same place as us. They were in there dirty work wear and we were not made aware of this. I confronted the lady on reception about the room and she didn't seem interested. I would never stay here again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very convenient for our purposes. Very comfortable and breakfast was good.
Cons: A lot of traffic noise but to be expected near a busy road.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The hotel was in a good location, close to the town centre and places of interest. The dining room and bar area were quaint and cosy. Our bed was comfortable.
Cons: Our room was tired and worn and needed updating. The 'shower' was more of a trickle, the hairdryer cut out after a minute, the lighting was inadequate making it was impossible to read in bed. From our room (No. 11) we could clearly hear people talking in the bar. Steep stairs that didn't bother us but could be problematic for others.

Pros: Good breakfast, nice staff and good central location.
Cons: The room was very small and bed wasn’t the comfiest.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was nice, location good, breakfast staff ok
Cons: No member of staff enquired about how are stay was going , or had been even when checking out.. general lack of interest although pleasant enough. Main problem was the room, we requested a larger double that was acknowledged but the room ended up in the roof space and lots of low beams that made the whole experience very uncomfortable

Pros: The staff are lovely and the bar is great use to spend time with loved ones and friends. It’s close to a lot of things and most things are easily accessible
Cons: On arrival I payed cash. Within 10 minutes of arrival a payment of £81 was withdrew from my bank. Staff informed me I’d get my money back within 7 days which was fine. Woke up in the morning from my stay and another £71 had been taken out. That’s now £150 even though I had payed for my stay when I arrived. Bed linen was dirty and had stains and pen marks on.

Cons: Wasn't as good as when I've stayed before. Outdoor pool wasn't hot enough, served off haddock at breakfast, big no no. Check out took ages because they had the bill hugely wrong.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location. Felt very relaxed. Bedrooms are amazing.
Cons: One lady at the spa was a little frosty on my first visit and I had to ask where the changing room was. The food at the bar was not amazing, I had expected an amazing meal. The service from the bar man/manager was however excellent. He was the best member of staff.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Lovely location and lovely spa.
Cons: Very over-priced at £337 per night. We had expected a lovely relaxing break with excellent service, given the price we were paying, but despite some lovely individuals amongst the staff who were doing their best, many of them appeared poorly trained and overall the bar and restaurant service was very poor. One evening we had to wait 10 mins before anyone even acknowledged us and many of the tables were uncleared and there was a lot of debris on the floor. The first couple of mornings, breakfast was completely chaotic with no apparent organisation amongst the staff and long waits for coffee - a few false starts as the untrained waiters tried to identify the right tables. Not their fault, it just seemed the hotel had hired people at short notice and not bothered training them. Just not what you expect when you are paying that kind of rate! Room was lovely but there was mould on the shower door, which again you don’t expect at such a rate per night.

Pros: Rooms were great. Nice bathroom, comfy bed, very clean room. Staff were lovely.
Cons: Breakfast was good, though a bit cold. Location very misleading. Need to update their details to make it clear that the hotel is in an industrial car park and not next to a lovely river.
