I loved the room I was in, room 17, as was out the way and gave me the privacy I needed for my stay. (I was over due to a death in my family. ) Location was excellent as meant I could be near my son, he's only a 5 min walk away in Albert st. Staff were very friendly and polite, I asked for an extra blanket as room was a little draughty and as soon as I came back , it was there on top of the bed for me. I didn't have breakfast as I don't eat it very often . I would def go back , especially in room 17 if on my own again , because it is a bit more secluded and I liked that. The shower was great. I liked the fact it stays open so you can come and go as you please , which meant I could go and spend as much time with my family as needed without the worry of being locked out. Hope to stay again under better circumstances
Not much selection of different tea in the room as I only drink green tea or i have a hot chocolate every so often. The clicking of the fan in the bathroom was bit noisy but earphones helped me out with that , and I thought the window was open slightly as it was a bit draughty in the room, but couldn't see it was open anywhere. Not complaints though, as won't put me off going back again , theyre just minor things that can be sorted easily. ive put one less for comfort as found the mattress a bit too hard for me, but as I said it wouldn't put me off going back.
Location, cleanliness, comfortable bed, friendly staff
Shower difficult to regulate, only one chair, no curtains up at window
I asked for ground floor bedroom and that is what I got. The Receptionist remembered me from a previous stay, several months ago. She has a good balance of being efficient and friendly. I would happily stay again.
Furniture could have been newer. Our room had only a high window with a blind which was too high up to open. So more daylight would've been nice.
