9.0 Excellent
Pros: The woman at the front desk was very accommodating. I needed to contact my husband in America and I was disappointed that you had no computer for me to use, so she set me up to contact my husband using her computer at the front desk. That was really gracious of her. I also appreciated the women at breakfast who remembered exactly what I had the day before and how I like my tea. Well done!

Pros: The food, evening meal was exceptional. Breakfast good choice, well cooked. Dining room was lovely, beautiful linen, lovely china. Breakfast coffee and toast was late though which meant we had almost eaten our breakfasts before it arrived.
Cons: Shower was more a trickle. Expected a much better one. Room clean but basic. Furnishings ok, expected a bit more luxury. Check in staff super friendly, checking out, i think one of the restaurants managers stepped in, thought her rude until our friends checked out and the usual receptionist was back, much friendlier.

Pros: Breakfast was cooked to order and fresh, with continental as well. The hotel and it's grounds were well maintained, and clean. The staff were freaking awesome, very friendly and polite and gave us a personal welcome on our honeymoon and room upgrade. The facilities were lush, with a jacuzzi and pool and use of the spa treatments if required. Felt very personal and welcoming.
Cons: The only downside was the lack of in house restaurant, although a cooked breakfast is served on sight in the mornings. There are many local places however and we enjoy eating out the hotel provided recommendations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was soooooo comfortable
Cons: Nothing
5.4 Okay
Pros: We were informed on arrival that there was no restaurant open so no evening meal!! Breakfast was excellent and the Chef was very friendly and helpful. Apart from that the stay was disappointing. We were informed that we should call reception if we wanted a drink from the bar but no staff came therefore we couldn’t even get a drink!! Only Earl Grey tea was in the room as the tea and coffee had not been checked. Basically what should have been a wonderful overnight stay in our favorite part of the country turned into the worst. We think we should have had some kind of notice that there was no means to have an evening meal or that the hotel would be left unmanned after 6pm. No apology received except from the Chef who was clearly upset that our stay had been a disappointment. Unfortunately not somewhere we could recommend.
Cons: Large suite.

Pros: We visited St Austell for a friends family party and fancied staying somewhere different. We are so pleased we did, what a wonderful find, Mark and Francesca couldn't of made us more welcome, the location is idedilic and the food was heavenly (albeit breakfast was totally sinful!) 6.0 Good
Pros: Great view of woodland out of the window. Friendly welcome. Cosiness. Warm and Light.
Cons: The room I had was too small for a double, would have been more space with a single bed and a desk instead. Seemed maybe overpriced since it was with a shared bathroom, and there was no breakfast on offer or access to a kitchen. But overall it was pleasant.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A very comfortable room for a one night stay on the South West Coastal Path. The room is very clean and it is very close to the town center. The host is outgoing and we enjoyed our stay.
Cons: No complaints.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Seemed okay when I booked and when we first arrived. The rooms were nice and everything was clean.
Cons: Rude rude obnoxious owners. No idea how to treat clients. my sister complained that her bed was too hard and she didn't sleep. The wife was having none of it, didn't take my sister's complaint seriously and basically told her that since no one else had complained of that, she couldn't understand why my sister was complaining. I wasn't there so I don't know what exactly took place between them in the morning, but by the time we arrived back to the place in the afternoon, the owner had decided we had to leave. A major inconvenience for us (we had booked five nights), and I didn't even get my money back for the second night, because he said that it was after check-in time and he wouldn't be able to fill the rooms. What???? We left because he made us leave!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything, from the well appointed room an en-suite, to the full English breakfast, and the parking on the property. It was only a short walk from the harbour, and Lara spent time talking to us about the near by restaurants etc, even though there was a comprehensive guide in the room. The WiFi works- which is always a plus
Cons: Nowt

Pros: The Owners could not have been more help full and friendly. The Location above the Harbour was excellent, also we had a great view from our room. Our room was very clean The Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Being able to Park was also a big plus, in the Mevagissey area Parking is difficult.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this place is magnificent. The hosts, the cleanliness, affordability it’s agreat base for a holiday base. The old house is magnificent architecturally. The loft or family room is ideal for an affordable family break. 2 mins from st austall town centre. But you feel like you’re far away from everything. Train station about £3.50 away. C and c cars are the friendliest and have electric vehicles. There are many little taxi firms that are cheap. Beware of the taxi drivers who sit outside the station though. Was initially using friendly one, think he was called terry, that was charging £20 for a six pound trip! Taxi to Eden is a little more, obviously, but there are regular buses there. Train to everywhere else. St austall town centre, like so many is tired. Try to keep your money local if you can. There’s loads of independent cafes. Ghurkka (spelling?) restaurant food phenomenal and so cheap! Don’t be put off by the outside. WHITE HART FOOD GOOD; BUT AFTER STAYING THERE FOR ONE NIGHT, AND TRYING TO CANCEL SECOND BECAUSE OF FILTHY DUSTY ROOM; AND INCREDIBLY RUDE BIGOTED MANAGER JULIE. I’D STAY AWAY FROM FOOD, DESPITE EXCEPTIONAL CHEF, if the cleanliness of the rooms and public spaces imagine how unhygienic the kitchen could be. I’m fact I’d stay away from st Austell brewery chain hotels full stop. They maybe good at beer, but hoteliers they aren’t equipt or competent. The customer is always wrong! You’re a couple of miles from Charlestown which is gorgeous. Also there are Aldi, and Tesco on the way.
Cons: St austall town centre is struggling. Like most small towns in uk. White hart is appalling stay away! There’s a lot of poverty, as rentals are expensive here for the locals, and wages low and seasonal. The Cornish people are lovely though. Keep that money local. No costa coffees, local mr smalls across the way is much nicer.

7.9 Good
Pros: It’s a home and all old features but modern shower rooms
Cons: I liked the property
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host Li was absolutely lovely. She was genuinely helpful and interested in me as a valued guest. She would have done virtually anything to make my stay enjoyable. The room and en-suite were both very clean and my room at the front of the property had nice views over the surrounding hills. Li also gives you options for the timing of breakfast to enable you to choose between 3 separate timings to suit. The house is convenient for both the station and town centre. I had 6 very quiet and comfortable nights at Bankside.
Cons: The only slight negative was that there was no fruit served at breakfast and maybe a little old fashioned in its presentation.
7.0 Good
Cons: This question does not apply, there was nothing 'unlikeable' about this venue, in relation to the time period concerned.
