Pros: The staff was very friendly, our room was very clean. Great value!!!
Cons: Na
Excellent8.2
Pros: clean, new appliances. attractive decor, good bed, good price
Cons: lights too bright, pillows kinda hard (?)
Excellent9.4
Pros: Nice place, clean, comfortable bed (probably the most comfortable bed of our entire California road trip), friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again. Everything about this place was a pleasant surprise.
Cons: Neighboring businesses made me wary before I checked in. It was in the search for San Diego hotels and I was booking several places so I guess I didn't double-check the map. Escondido is not staying in San Diego.
Mediocre2.0
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Came back to our room around 11 after going to a wedding. Our neighbors have the door wide open smoking weed and then were playing with large lighters and other drug paraphernalia in the bed. I couldn't sleep due to the fear the place would be bursting into flames. Awful. Tiny rooms, tiny bathrooms, dirty, grungy. $100 a night for this place on a Saturday. STAY AWAY. UPDATE: after walking out of our room to check out and leave because I was so nervous. Caught of glimpse of what they were smoking with these large pipes: METH. I say this only because I made eye contact with one and their pupils were pinpoint small at 1am - it's dark so your pupils should be dilated. Could've been some other highly illegal substance- but appeared on all accounts as meth. So, good job. Door right open. The clerk simply said "you're checked out" upon us leaving. I called the hotel and then priceline to attempt to get our money back. They could only say, "Sorry, but the hotel is non-smoking". Okay, well I'm sorry but maybe they thought that was exclusive to cigarettes? How am I reporting to you that OBVIOUSLY this was not the case hence my very upset demeanor upon checking out? Also, rooms look nothing like the photos. Dirty, grimey, gross. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS MOTEL AS POSSIBLE. SPEND THE EXTRA $50 TO AT LEAST FEEL CLEAN AND SAFE ELSEWHERE.
Excellent9.1
Pros: Clean bathroom
Cons: That it was located next to the Adult book store. That did not sit well with me.
Excellent8.2
Pros: Bed
Cons: if anything the location was kinda weird with the side road, but still not a problem after back tracking
Okay5.4
Pros: Good value for the money. Check in and out was very easy. Continental breakfast was decent.
Cons: Rooms were very small. Furniture old and worn.
Excellent9.4
Pros: WOW, much better than what I was expecting for a Motel class establishment. Clean and tidy bathroom, room came with refrigerator and microwave standard, recently refurbished, staff (Bobby) was professional and prompt.

Pros: That it was fairly close to the beach. The $80 price that I was quoted at first somehow was quoted for Sunday night instead of Saturday. It ended up costing me way more than I planned.
Cons: Location was ok and room was ok except I am a woman alone and had to carry all my luggage up 3 flights of stairs and the parking was poor. Very difficult to even get into the place. Was very disappointed that the price ended up being $140.00 instead of the $80.00 which I know that I put in Saturday but my confirmation showed Sunday so I had to quickly just change the date and did not have time to find another place. I would have preferred to pay that much at a better place.

Pros: Always a pleasant stay - staff is great! Rooms are comfortable.
Cons: Remodel is occurring - can be noisy during the day.
Excellent9.1
Pros: Very friendly staff is enough to inspire us to return
Cons: Don't like that the restaurant next door opens late on Saturday morning.
Okay5.4
Pros: Cheap room price
Cons: -Rooms smell like old sweaty socks -Uncomfortable bed, sheets and pillows -AC/Heater that is loud and probably from the 1970's -TV definitely over 20 years old - Old ugly carpets - Old ugly paint - Old ugly everything
Good7.1
Pros: Location, loveseat, fridge, microwave. Bed comfortable.
Cons: No coffee maker in room as advertised. Alarm clock not by bed.
Excellent8.2
Pros: A decent, clean, older motel, economically priced. Convenient to I-15, but not noisy. Our room d/n have carpet, but flooring, which we prefer. Bed was fine, quiet AC, and lots of desk/storage space. It was quiet during our 3 nights (during week). Decent cafe next door, which had good breakfast and dinner selections, with craft beer. A great value, if all you want is a "home base" while doing other stuff. Located very close to SD Zoo Safari Park (not the Zoo, which is downtown in Balboa Park).
Cons: These did not bother us, since we just wanted a reasonable place to stay while doing things in San Diego area, but they may be important to some people: 1) Continental breakfast: coffee, rolls/croissants, some fruit and cereal. Go next door to cafe for a real breakfast. 2) pool, but small. 3) definitely not romantic or luxurious. 4) 20-40 minute drive to places like Balboa Park, Aquarium and La Jolla, Point Loma fishing, San Diego downtown.
Excellent8.0
Pros: I loved that they had a kitchenette, refrigerator, and cable. Its was a cool lil spot to be at for a couple days

Pros: It was a good price. The lady in the office were very friendly. The floors were faux wood so they appeared new and clean. Free parking
Cons: There were police presence every night. It seems I may have gotten bed bugs from my two nights there. There were only soap no shampoo.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Yes
Good7.4
Pros: Very clean. Helpful staff.
Cons: Very basic, no extras. As another reviewer said, you get what you pay for. It was just fine for what I needed: A place to sleep for the night.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Staff was polite and friendly. My only complaint was that someone took the batteries out if the remote so I had to walk to the desk to get some. Other than that, the bed was comfortable, although 2 pillows wasn't enough, I still slept well.
Mediocre2.0
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: The amount of lies the lady told u the fact that the person working at the office was looking at us on the camara all the time when we where headed up to the room and she called us and said that 2 of my friends needed to leave because 6 people could not be in a 4 person room to hang out for a bit.
Good6.2
Cons: The room smelled faintly of smoke even though it was non smoking.
Good6.0
Pros: The staff was great, the price I paid was the absolute best for those dates, the location is super convenient.
Cons: The rooms are small it felt crowded , the bed and pillows extremely uncomfortable, there's no free WiFi, the room I got had microwave and refrigerator but no hair dryer or coffee maker, there was a gathering of homeless people in the very near by sidewalk the 3 days & nights I was there, I didn't feel safe.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Easy check-in and check-out, helpful staff, the room decor was modern, I went to sleep and slept hard. It was what I wanted and expected, few extras, and no hassle.
Mediocre2.0
Cons: The receptionist was not very friendly, there were many bugs in our room, and most importantly, the room itself was not clean or comfortable. During our night-long stay, a huge mosquito, large moth, and cockroach shared the room with us to our disgust. The water pressure was very low, the sink was clogged, it was very obvious that the soap had been reused from previous stays, and there were cobwebs around the lights in the bathroom.
Good7.7
Pros: I liked that we could get multiple keys. Overall, it was nice. The beds and pillows were pretty comfortable. I didn't have trouble sleeping. I liked that the floors are wooden and NOT carpet. There was no cigarette smell which was excellent because most hotels I've stayed at reeked of cigarette smoke. The AC was strong enough to keep the room very cool.
Cons: I have nothing bad to say. Just wish there was a mini fridge or something like that. I also noticed that there weren't shampoos when we got in; only bar soap. So I keeping up with the housekeeping a bit more. It's not a big deal but it's just something I noticed :)
Mediocre2.0
Pros: Nothing
Cons: I have Bed Bug bites all over the back of my legs. Gross
Okay4.0
Pros: It was close to places we wanted to go (Stone Brewing, California Center for the Arts). It was a place to rest your head - absolutely nothing fancy or overly comfortable about it.
Cons: While located relatively near places we wanted to go, the exact location of the motel was questionable. There were multiple homeless people wandering through parking lot while we checked in. We chose to Uber instead of walk anywhere. Why make people pay for WiFi? Why is there no shampoo in the bathrooms? They clearly attempted to "modernize" the rooms, but with the sparse furnishings and laminate floor it just lacked any semblance of comfort.
Excellent9.7
Pros: Escondido is in the bottom of a valley therefore it tends to retain heat in the late afternoon. This is an excellent time for a swim at the Motel 6 pool when the sun is at it's hottest, very relaxing. I was shocked at how often I was at the pool alone, great. What few guests came were friendly and respectful.
