The setting, view a real culture experience The bed was a little hard
Great value. Excellent accommodations for the price and the breakfast was wonderful. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to others.
We were met at the reception by persons with excellent knowledge, service-mind and a good sense of humor. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very delcious and with a wide selection. No, everythibg was to our great satisfaction.
a clean and well decorated hotel, excellent breakfast, friendly helpful staff, easy walking distance of local shops and facilitys. no kettle or hot drink making equipment in room.
The room was very nice. The lack of a pool and hot tub was a bit disappointing. And the breakfast, although a very good selection of food, was occasionally too cold.
The deluxe double was very spacious with a wonderful view of the mountains. The bathroom was brand new and quite large for a European bathroom. Also, the breakfast was very, very good.
The service was exceptional, with friendly staff and amazing breakfast. The location was superb, although a bit of a hike from the train station. Unexpected surprise to get free bus passes while a guest there. Sauna facility was wonderful Hotel room lighting was non-existent - very, very dark.
Physically this is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are designed well and the ceiling woodwork is divine. The facilities are good and the location is amazing. We particularly enjoyed the restaurant/bar and the gentleman who served there. We were surprised that the used towels were not changed when the room was cleaned. Two of the front desk staff were inexperienced. When checking out the desk clerk was unable to figure out how to process the credit card. After 10 minutes we ended up having to pay cash as we were going to miss our train.
Loved the old stleofyheinn.
Breakfast was amazing, the hotel was very clean. There was not very good lighting in my room. All of the lights worked, but were not bright. The toilet would not flush because it was not receiving water, the bathtub did not have a plug so we could not take a bath. The sauna was also out of order.
The breakfast buffet provided was adequate. Fresh fruit, cheeses, eggs and meats were provided. The pillows provided on the bed were extremely uncomfortable, providing no support whatsoever. The free parking provided by the hotel was in a very small area and I could not get parking there the first night.
Proximity to train station, good variety at breakfast buffet Beds not comfortable
Location was very good. No possibility for evening meal
Excellent location, good breakfast.
The rooms are big and spacious, comparable to an American hotel. The baby crib was large and had nice child friendly blankets and pillow. The proximity to the train station and downtown shopping and restaurants is nice, about 100 meters to the Train and 10-15 minute walk to the shopping area. The hotel breakfast is great, large selection of food and beverages, something for everyone. The employees are very helpful with warming milk or food for the children even when the restaurant was closed. Great staff and service.
Nice clean hotel with an professional staff. Great room, however small TV. Nice and good breakfast, and the staff seamed to work hard with cleaning up after the guests. Did not like to pay for cordless internet for my notebook, many hotels provide this free of charge nowadays.
Everything. It's a lovely hotel, with comfortable, well-designed and beautifully appointed rooms. In addition, the buffet breakfast was excellent.
The location is very good. Its only 100m away from bahnhof.
good breakfast and location. near enough to the railway. The road leading to it was not that easy to find.
Great location by train station, free bus transport in town, good breakfast. Internet access was down
Very clean rooms and convenient to town. Nice breakfast. Well meaning but young staff. Shabby decor in lobby, small elevator (4 person)long waits, very basic amenities in room, foam mattresses, broken bed lamps, parking garage a cramped dark, dungeon like facility, Incredibly over priced...absolutely not worth the price.
Pillows were terrible - worst I ever had
Close to city center, breakfast was also very good. It was nothing special, I would rather stay in a small pension...
Great location. Staff took 15 minutes to divide our bill by 3! Not good at giving advice re the location r things to do. One young girl was abrupt and very unfriendly.
Very good location next door to the train station, bus station as well as Zugspitze Bahn. Clean room. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
Arrived during teh Euro Football toutnament - it was very very noisy late into the night.
It was close to the train station, shopping and a variety of restaurants.
Proximity to station and central Garmisch
It's close to the train station. We had a very early train to catch so it's very convenient. The hotel is quite dusty. There was dust on the room's telephone - feel like it hasn't been cleaned for a while. Shower room is quite small.
Could not complain about anything, the only hitch was the single room was a none smoking as requested but someone had been smoking in it, told the front desk and I got the room changed without any problem, food was excellent
Quaint and charming. Beautiful view of mountains behind the hotel. Lots of shop and restaurants nearby. Only thing is the room is very small and the bathroom was tiny. No washcloths or hairdryer, etc. good for one or two people. We had two teens with us and the extra beds they brought in were toddler sized beds and then there was no room to walk in the room with the extra beds. Otherwise, I would reccommend this hotel. Great location in Garmisch and owners or mangers were very kind. Thanks
1. Hotel staff are very friendly 2. Restaurant food is good 3. Room with living zone is comfortable and hotel building itself shows long-established atmosphere. 1. Inside of hotel is comlicated to go to your room, restraunt and garage etc. 2. One of waiter at restaurant is arrogant 3. Breakfast is so so.
The staff was helpful welcoming and the facilities were amazing. The hiking was great and could walk everywhere! nothing
Everything! Staff, restaurant, whirlpool, swimming pool were ALL wonderful! The view they gave us was great, too! Maybe have the sauna open all day and the swimming pool could have been a little warmer.
A very comfortable, peaceful hotel with good facilities and excellent restaurant. People smoking in the restaurant.
Everything! The service was wonderful, the staff couldn't be more professional, the sauna and steam facilities were lovely and the room was huge, very comfortable with a great bathroom. I'd definitely stay here again!
Nice hotel, a bit overpriced for the room. 5 star hotel that felt the same as many 3 star hotels we stayed at in Germany.
The Location - halfway between Partenkirchen and Garmisch. The Sauna and Pool area was good too. The smoking - although hard to avoid in Germany!
Very good place to stay
I loved the atmosphere and the professionalism of the staff! The room overlooked the main boulevard and we could hear the noise of the traffic
Very professional and friendly staff. Great location.
Welcoming, comfortable and spotless.
There was a swimming pool, sauna and steam room. The location to the main dining and shopping areas was in walking distance. The front desk girls didn't speak too good English. They also need to have a better supply of power converters.
The hotel is well placed on the outside of the town, pride is taken by the staff in the appearance of the hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Reception slightly dark and could do with a refurb and smelled of smoke - rooms however were fine
Very accomodating staff. Entire busload of wild teenies invaded hotel at 5 PM. Staff moved us to a quieter quarter. By the time we came back from dinner, all had been tamped down and was very quiet. Nice spot with a great view of the mountains. Lots of parking available.
I have been staying there for about five years when I visit Bavaria from the USA Herr Falk Bartels, Asst Mgt, has been very helpful. Frau Jenny Huber (front desk )was exceptionaly helpful. Most of the dinning room staff and the chef were very plesant and helpful I was told thery could not turn Steam and Sanua on untill three PM by three of the front desk staff when I wanted to use it in the morning. Most of the front desk and office staff are caustic, unpleasant and unhelpful. You need coffee makers in the rooms.
Sauna availability and location near to city centre and ski facilities. One time the food (dinner) was not good: part of the meat was greenish and did not taste well.
We arrived at this hotel in the middle of an October blizzard and heavy snow so it was a sight for sore eyes. Room was typical for a chain hotel - in a good way! It was clean, well laid out, perfectly equipped and a great modern bathroom (though small!). We used the pool - I think they said it was 28.5 degrees, so yes, cold, but typical. We ate in the restaurant and it was great regional food, very well priced. We also had drinks and snacks in the bar - again, very pleased. Fabulous breakfast. Becasue of the snow, we didn't even venture out so I can't comment on how well-placed the hotel is, but in terms of value for money (our room cost under £70!!), it is one of the best I have stayed in. No complaints!
Convenient location and they accept dogs
Breakfast buffet is good. Location is excellent.
I enjoyed your breakfaxt buffet
Very good hotel with big rooms. Breakfast is enormous including local food, fish, fresh juice etc.
A very nice hotel with great views! I loved the room and found the bed very comfortable. It was nice that they spoke English as well. We never got to use the pool because it closed so early. It would be nice if they left it open later, especially in the warmer months.
Friendly and responsive staff. Excellent continental breakfast. Beautiful environment and location in Garmisch-Partenkirschen
The rooms were lovely. Decorated beautifully and the design unique and very functional. Lovely garden and spa and great breakfast. Good location and quiet. No.
The spa/pool was very enjoyable.Views from our room were breath taking.Easy location for walking about. The breakfast staff got upset when I used the wrong bread in the toaster. The front desk staff did want to accomadate our need to find a lesser price room in the hotel to meet our needs/budget.
The reception staff and waiting staff were outstanding. They were polite and informative and seemded to work tirelessly to ensure you had a great time. The recommendations given to us by the reception girls on where to visit were all spot on. Our family had a great time and one which we will remember for a very long time. Thanks
Room 84: delightful curtains, good space for hanging and storing clothes. Hope to return sometime. --
Charming, friendly, and everything you need at a low price
The site was central, the rooms were clean, the breakfeast was quite good. The staff did not seem to understand very basic hospitable behaviour. Things like saying hello, goodbye in any language, establishing eye contact were not in the staff manual it seems.
staff was great, full breakfast was unexpected, but super. sauna was not open at convenient times after a long day it would have been nice to have it available in the evening.
Location to downtown Garmisch, and good view of mountains.
very good location; free parking; nice local restaurant with live music and good food wi-fi is not working; room was much lower standard as advertised; no info during booking that room was not in hotel but in guesthouse;
The food was outstanding.
the friendlyness of the staff and the gemutlichkeit
Very friendly and helpful staff, owner involved, plentiful breakfast and beautiful traditional ambience Everything was good
The location is great and the staff is very very nice. Oh, and the breakfast is really good too.
The restaurant was fantastic. Great food, dancing, music, ambience, etc.
The personal touch added by the owner that made us feel at home, like a guest of her house
Hospitality at its best! Rooms are cleaned everyday. Their restaurant is one of the best in GAP (Garmisch-Partenkirchen). The hotel is right in town of Partenkirchen, it's so easy to get around. For those who would like to shop, it's about 20-30minutes walk to the Marienplatz, the Fußgangerzone of the town, at the Garmisch side. Not a bad walk because there are stores/bars/restaurants on the way. My husband and I will be sure to stay here the next time we visit our friends again... next month, perhaps? It's too close to the church, which we don't mind, but the bell tolled at 05:30 on a Sunday. It was pretty tough for us that morning, after a night of party-ing :-)
The room was very small and the wifi signal very poor. Parking was great. The morning breakfast was fantastic. The whole thing is run as a home. The twin room was small and long. The beds were placed in a line not alongside as normally.
We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and our hostess at breakfast and our clean rooms and the food.
Great location, food, and staff. Would like a room with a balconey next time but would stay again. no
balcony, location, the lady in brakfast was very friendly the hotel facility not correct on booking.com, they proived smooking room but they claim its alowed in bavaria hotels anymore by low. It is worth mentioning that we stay at same area in bavaria and we got smooking room, they receptionest who check us in was very rude and not friendly which spoil our vacation, we didnt ask any more questions to not have the same bad attitude, reception was not available most of the time and we had to call them from kitchen, internet was slow.
Very conveniently situated -- close to the train station, within easy walking distance to the Olympia Stadium (i.e. the start of the hike to the Zugspitze). Good buffet breakfast. On a quiet street. Check out time a little too early -- 10:30am.
Good location，very helpful staff
We knew there would not be an elevator, so taking into our age they let us stay in a room on the ground floor. Plus, all the meals we had in their Restuarant were very good.
Staff was nice, and breakfast excellent, as said already in previous comments. Location in Garmisch-Partenkirchen's centrum is also very good. No.
provide breakfast. did not provide iron pad and iron.
The location was fabulous - close to the train station and within walking distance to the town center. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
It was close to the train station which provided public transportation to the Zugspitze. The evening meal was truly special. Room was large , clean and had a beautiful view from the balcony.
The staff was always very helpful and friendly! The hotel is in a very convenient location. The breakfast buffet was yummy!
Small, friendlier with a charm not found in a multifloor American style hotel. Breakfast selection was good.
Great breakfast, Great location, Clean room, and wonderful accomodating hostess
On arrival staff very informative of local amenities. Breakfast very relaxed with good choices.
The owner and her team are excellent, very helpful with good service. The wireless connection is good and we could work at the lounge. Very convenience. No.
Very nice hotel and the town is cute with nice little shops. You can travel to various places to see sights within an hours drive. Very clean hotel and breakfast was good. It right within the community and places are within walking distance.
Good location. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms are a bit too basic. The TV is very small and old and there is no fridge in the room. No Wi-Fi signal in the room.
Great hotel hostess and location, richly buffet breakfest. All around very pictorially natural landscape. Really - just perfect! In room no Wi-Fi internet connection.
Friendly staff, good breakfast, extremely clean. Quiet location and peaceful. We traveled with 2 teens and 2 grandparents and all of us thought it was a wonderful hotel and would stay there again. Parking was a bit tight at the hotel and along the street.
the warm welcome everything was fine - no complaints
The hotel is pretty and very authentic in its style. The rooms are lovely - welcoming and clean. Breakfast was good with plenty of fresh meats, cheeses, breads and cooked eggs.
The staff was very kind and helpful, free internet and nice location! The room was a bit small!
We found the hotel to be all that we expected and needed for our stay. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Amenities such as free onsite parking and a free internet connection were very welcome.
We loved the traditional Bavarian atmosphere, facility, and restaurant. The room was spacious and beds were comfortable. We especially liked having a balcony for relaxation and enjoying the view. The restaurant was excellent. We ate there the evening we arrived, and returned for dinners each night. The breakfast buffet was the best of all the hotels we stayed at this trip. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. The location in Partenkirchen is convenient and a nice walk for shopping in both Garmisch and Partenkirchen. We highly recommend this hotel. It was a bit noisy on the street side in the a.m., but the advantages of this hotel outweigh any inconvenience.
We liked the veiw of the mountains that we had from the room and the freindly staff. The breakfast was very good. no
Lovely shower, good reading light over bed, good location, best breakfast ever, nice to have a refrigerator
The Juniour Suite of 40 m² was very nice. The meals are typically bavarian - and good.
Beautiful location and wonderful facility!
Location and community are good. Cleaning staff were not careful with personal belongings.
Great location. Ecellent breakfast and very comfortable room Outstanding views. The only drawback was the young lady that checked us in and out. Not friendly at all. Gave a very negative first impression of the hotel. She is not what you want meeting a guest excited about arriving for a vacation. Not a smile or an acknowledgement upon the check in. Other than that the hotel was great. The lady that was there for breakfast was outstanding. Met every need.
The Hotel is very good and well situated. The family who runs the hotel is very efficient and professional. The rooms are big and modern with all facilities of the hotel of 5 stars. We enjoyed ourselves for the time in the hotel. Everything was fine.
Clean, great food, good clean rooms, and good staff. Great atmosphere.Great location to see Cow drives in the morning and evening in the street. Entertainment and Music a couple days a week local traditional.
Quite location with outstanding mountain view.
We have been to this hotel many times in the past - very quaint, fantastic views. The quality seems to have slipped a little from the past.
the helpful and very friendly staff
The room was clean and comfortable, the view from balcony was excellent. Breakfast buffet had lot of variety and was simply deliciuos. Staff was very friendly. Finally, the hotel location could not be better, it is surrounded by nature (located in a hill) and very close to town.
Quiet location out of town - lovely views. Comfortable quiet room with balcony. Excellent restaurant, reasonably priced. Free bikes . Pleasant helpful staff though not all spoke English. Bathroom needs refurb
The restaurant was excellent. The breakfast was a disappointment. The view was of the parking lot. There was NO wireless internet acsess available, even though it was advertised. The couch in the room had disgusting stains all over it.
it was really clean, comfortable and the location was great just 5 minutes from the downtown.. the staff were really friendly and i would go there if i had the chance to visit garmisch again
The staff were friendly. The hotel and room were clean, and quiet.
The wonderful views and great breakfast. It should have an elevator.
The view of the Zugspitz and the visible Alps is just breath taking. We have enjoyed this view now three(3) times.
Large room in a good location in Partenkirchen; attractive street and hotel. Very poor customer service - charged an extra $10 for using a Visa card after staying for 2 nights and eating 2 dinners in the hotel. Brought a salad after we were finished eating (ie very late) and refused to remove the charge from the bill. greedy management and not very friendly attitude toward guests.
The hotel is right in the heart of the old town, in a lovely buiding that is centuries old. The breakfast chef was very attentive and cooked us delicious fried eggs. Our room was very big and really felt like home.
Convenient location, good food and drinks at the restaurant, clean and comfortable. Great views. The flights of stairs can be tough with luggage but once you're settled in its not a big deal.
This hotel is in the city center, opposite the church. The location is nice .The room for 5-6 people was very clean and comfortable. I recommend this.
The staff was fantastic! Great experience! Quaint and relaxing! Clean! It was not "tourist-y" at all, it was authentic and welcoming! Loved the dining experience! Loved our stay!!!
The location and size of the room The beds were not comfortable
The staff was all very helpful and courteous and most of them spoke English Our room was on the top floor of the hotel and with the way that it was built we did not have a stand-up shower in the bathroom
Location was excellent. Plenty of space for our family of 5. We were offered choice between two rooms on arrival. Heat went out but was quickly fixed. Good restaurant in hotel. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Parking is in a public, underground garage close to the hotel- 5 euro per day. The 12 Euro charge for credit card payment was not advertised. Would not take VAT form. Staff was very friendly until morning of our departure. An hour and a half prior to check out, we went to move our car from the public garage to the front of the hotel to load our luggage and children when one of the previously friendly employees stopped us and accused us of trying to leave without paying the bill. We explained what we were doing, she apologized but said we should have told her what we were doing. Kind of a bizarre and disappointing ending.
Staff gave us a room options to choose from, and the were very friendly. Loved the view from the balcony of our room. Staff was not accurate on train schedules to Zugspitze and how best to get there.
Breakfast was delicious, hotel staff was friendly, it was within walking distance from city/conference center, we had an apartment with 2 rooms so me and my colleague could have completely separate schedules if we wanted, we got a cool good-bye present Wireless internet was not working (at least in our room) and we almost got charged for it, it was somewhat difficult to communicate with hotel staff because they knew little English, but that was part of the charm (unless you are in a hurry)
The room was clean and comfortable with a nice deck. We had an extra bedroom (not needed since I was traveling with my 20 y/o daughter) with 2 bunk beds that would've been perfect for a family. Breakfast was good--typical German style. We had to spend the first night in a different hotel because, although they booked us for the 2 nights, they did not have room. (The first hotel was much better). The hosts do not speak English (wife speaks a few words only), so trying to figure out what was going on was difficult. The door is locked and you have to ring a bell when you arrive. After hours everything is dark. When we came in the second evening (around 8PM so I'm not talking about showing up at 2AM), we had to try to find the key to the front door in the dark and then find our way up the stairs in the dark. Although it says "apartment" there is nothing to make even tea or coffee, much less anything else.
The owner couple was absolutely great. They gave a lot of instructions what to see, how to get there and so on. Hotel facilities are great, also location. Breakfast buffet is good.
The owners were really sweet and wonderful and made every attempt to make us feel welcome.
We had a wonderful stay at Pension Mirabell!! I would highly recommend it! And if we ever are back in that area we would stay there again. No, everything was perfect!
