10.0 Excellent
Pros: Evening meal in restaurant was excellent and the staff were brilliant. Breakfast was lovely. Room was comfortable very clean and spacious. Staff were lovely and friendly. Liked this hotel very much and would visit again.
Cons: The bed was a little uncomfortable for me, could have done with an extra topper, the pillows surrounded my face, so too soft for me. Just a minor issue and it was for only one night anyway, so just about put up with it even though I didn't get any sleep that night!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay was very enjoyable and I would definitely stay there again. The staff were very polite and helpful and the breakfast was very nice.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The evening meal was good
Cons: The corridor to our room smelt damp and was freezing. On going to bed the room smelt of mould and damp even though we had the window open. This resulted in a bad nights sleep. I reported it in the morning to reception who said " well no one else has complained". That is not the point, we have stayed at a few Hiltons and there response was unsatisfactory! It definitely ruined our stay!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy beds and shower with lots of power and hot water. Breakfast was quite acceptable, with a good choice on offer considering the restrictions due to the work being carried out.
Cons: Nothing

6.0 Good
Pros: We stayed for 2 nights. Facilities were great, Grounds really pretty. Nice hotel.
Cons: No window in the room so it was hot and stuffy. Not good for my asthma. They kept saying that my payment hadn't gone through but it had left my account and I showed them proof but they still wanted confirmation.
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was good. Bed comfortable. Bathroom good, shower worked better than it looked. Had a nice view from the room. Reception check in was good.
Cons: Breakfast was not good. Bacon was cooked too long before and left to go dry / covered with fat. Likewise scrambled egg was not appetising to look at and sausages were also cooked a long time before. Smaller, more frequent / fresher cooked items would be much better and would look more appetising.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: Dirty look to it, small rooms and unbelievably slow at the restaurant...
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfy had a good sleep peace and quiet breakfast was good toast crispy bacon nice not too crispy loved the overal stay thank you will recommend my family and friends
Cons: A bit far from station
5.0 Okay
Cons: I booked this stay as a suprise 30th birthday present for my partner and have to say was very disappointed. Upon on arrival it looked lovely however when we checked in and were directed out of the building and round to a separate very run down looking building I was shocked. This was false advertisement as no where is there a picture of this building. However we went to the room and whilst there I leant on the bed and it moved across the floor only to reveal a "rentokil" box - obviously mortified by this we notified reception and was moved to another room however this was just the icing on the cake and the what was supposed to be a nice suprise night away felt ruined. I felt very embarrassed that I had booked this place as a present for my partner as it was not how I had imagined at all
5.0 Okay
Pros: The bedroom was pleasant and the spa was an added benefit. The breakfast was nice.
Cons: The greeting at reception wasn't friendly, the bar and restaurant weren't open for lunch period and dinner in the restaurant was poor.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Room was spacious, with a nice sink and bath.
Cons: I was not able to check in before the wedding despite asking politely and having three rooms booked. I only needed it for 15 minutes to get changed. Staff were quite rude about it.

Pros: Lovely atmospheric property very comfortable and friendly staff
Cons: Dripping tap in room 2 also very sloping floor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved staying here, the staff were really nice, the hotel, bar, restaurant were all lovely. Will definitely be staying again.
Cons: It was a little difficult with luggage and baby to get across the courtyard (cobbles) but manageable- plus makes property very quaint.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lot of character due to it’s age. Good location and even though there is a bar and restaurant didn’t experience any noise especially as our room overlooked the inner courtyard where these facilities were located.
Cons: Nothing but car park took some finding but popped in to the hotel and was given a map which was helpful. Car park is not very large so parking may be an issue if hotel busy.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location beautifully decorated and quaint and old worldy. A real experience to stay somewhere with such character
Cons: The bar staff were a bit surly and not very friendly.

Pros: Spacious room, friendly staff, clean and comfortable.
Cons: Terrible coffee at breakfast.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Quiet location Good selection of gins Staff friendly
Cons: The room we had was near the kitchen and smelt of cooking oil. The tv remote only worked for volume or scrolling down the channels. Bathroom not properly cleaned as when we showered in the morning the steam allowed us to see that someone had written vanessa on the window....
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast - good range of food, well cooked, good service. A shame you cannot manage to include fresh coffee without a surcharge, surely it does not cost that much.
Cons: see above
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Reception hard to raise on arrival
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A fantastic stay from the moment we checked in. Great fish and chips and my husband commented on the best breakfast he had had for years. Super easy location for visiting family in Oxford.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: The staff in the bar were clueless with food orders and bills, and I didn’t get a n invoice with correct info asked for another and still not recurved it
5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff very friendly
Cons: Room was very cold when I arrived so I had to turn on the radiator. In my opinion this should have been done before the room was occupied. The TV didn't work properly - the picture was pixillated. When I reported it at reception I was told(politely) that unfortunately there was no-one available until the following day. The floodlights from the car -park lit up the bedroom all night long.

Cons: The rack in the closet was a bit to high for me. It was difficult to hang my clothes up. I had to be on my tippy toes. A step stool would have been helpful. The menu in the restaurant was the same both nights.

Pros: Great Staff! Great workout room and Sauna!
6.8 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly
Cons: THe hotel is geting a big refurbishment. Restaurant is closed, so rather than eat breakfast in a conferance room, we went into the city instead. In the bedrooms, the choice of opaque glass door to the bathroom was an odd one. Especially as in my room it faces directly onto the bed. I may look stylish, but is not particularly sound proof! And if anyone wants to us the bath room in thhe night, the doors is lit up like an enormous night light!
2.8 Mediocre
Pros: the place was clean
Cons: Jurys Inn had no charm. It was a modern space, dorm room style maze. A lot of eastern European workers with no charm. The red head curly haired euro woman need to learn to smile. I hated my stay here. No food at night. Cold AC. Wankers!

5.0 Okay
Pros: Tha staff were lovely, the doormen, waiters and receptionist. Food was really good in the restaurant .
Cons: The dirt in the bathroom, nothing in the fridge, poor selection of coffee stuff. Old tired hotel. Checked in and was given a disabled room which was big but had cracked tiles in the showers which had been grouted up, the shower curtain didn’t look to clean either. Asked to change rooms and were give another which was in my opinion a three star room. There was nothing in the fridge, two small packets of biscuits and not much else. The shower was dirty as were the bathroom taps (see photos). This is an old hotel which trades off its reputation, it was probably amazing in its day but those days have sadly gone. Next time I’m in oxford I’ll stay in the malmaisson again, better value for money and a nicer place, in a five star hotel I expect five star service which we got but the old tiredness of the rooms, dirty bathroom and lack of room facilities let it down
5.4 Okay
Pros: excellent location in central Oxford, minutes away from historic colleges, the central market, and the bus station.
Cons: Rooms were small, extremely overheated and poorly ventilated. Old carpeting triggered allergies. Breakfast not included in the room price and very expensive ($30 for a continental buffet).
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else! The bed was possibly the comfiest I've ever slept in, and the whole room was absolutely spotless. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and went the extra mile to accommodate at a very difficult time. Breakfast was excellent, I'd give just breakfast alone the five stars, and ended up being served in the room rather than in the restaurant due to current regulations, however, it was the perfect start to the day! I had a lovely dinner in the restaurant too, spot on balance between attentive and friendly yet efficient.
Cons: The only downside was that the cartoon bar wasn't open - it could possibly have been down to covid-19 as my stay ended up being badly timed - however, cocktails were being served in the Morse bar instead, so no major issue
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a beautiful hotel with lovely friendly staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic staff great place to stay breakfast in bed amazing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly polite staff. Very clean. Absolutely delicious food in restaurant. Very comfortable room.
9.0 Excellent
Cons: It’s very nice hotel and location next to the city canter and the services very very good and the food is nice
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The pleasant/helpful staff, the hotel has a warm cosy ambiance, absolutely fantastic location. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice and we had meals in the restaurant on two evenings of our 3 night stay which we really enjoyed.
Cons: £40 a night to park your car:- is over-the-top! The hotel despite its marketing, is definitely not a 5 star hotel except in respect of its prices, no gym, no swimming pool, a lack of lounges/relaxation areas and hotel looking a little tired in places, more shabby chic than 5 star, in my opinion!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We were a little cautious as we had read some indifferent reviews and were therefore preparing ourselves. We were very pleasantly surprised however. The hotel exudes character. Our room although compact had everything we needed, the bathroom was pleasant and included the use of bath robes. The view was lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable resulting in a good nights sleep - rare for hotels. Breakfast was a buffet but good quality and included a hot English selection, several juices, continental selection and a waffle maker - we definitely didn't need lunch!
Cons: The room was a little small but that said, it was perfectly adequate.
7.0 Good
Pros: Fantastic location
Cons: Looking a bit tired, but we were told it's about to undergo a major refit.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: It is in an excellent location for visiting my daughter who is studying at Worcestor college.
Cons: We were in a room with heavy scaffolding blocking the entire two windows. Men were talking, yelling & working/pounding in front of the two windows every morning. They totally ignored us who needed sleeping in the room. There were no privacy nor courtesy. We were not informed or asked if it's Ok for the reception to assign such a downgraded room (the windows were blocked by scaffolding entirely)to us at check in either. The service and facilities were at most a one star hotel this time. I stayed in this hotel for about 5 times in the last two years because we were visiting our daughter who was studying at Worcestor college(one block away). They've been always about a three stars hotel standard. But this time was the worst. We will not use this hotel any more. It's totally not worth the price & the poor facility.
6.6 Good
Pros: Clean bedsheets and towels
Cons: Very small rooms for the price; You can't reach the reception directly; you basically have to go through hoops and being on hold before someone picks up; the staff are not quick in responding to issues or concerns. Wifi was really quite poor--it bounced off every five minutes.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good enjoyable stay
7.3 Good
Pros: The friendliness & helpfulness of the staff. The excellent breakfast. The well-equipped bathroom. The proximity to the Ashmolean
Cons: I should have preferred a duvet rather than blankets on my bed. I found the blankets too hot and constricting
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location of the Hotel in the centre of Oxford
Cons: We stayed in the Hotel before and liked it very much. On this occasion we found it somewhat disappointing. Many small things caused us some frustration.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location, 'character', most staff (but not all)
Cons: Very high parking fee, long walk to room, noise of large fan/generator, modest bedroom and facilities, unpleasant view, bizarre naked footprints on flat roof outside window, smell of sewage ('exceptional' problem), credit card surcharge (incredible!). Very poor value. Also adding 'MacDonald' to the name rather detracts from the image, I'm afraid. Next time: The Old Bank
5.0 Okay
Pros: Excellent central location.Spacious and well furnished room.
Cons: Unable to sleep due to traffic noise.
7.2 Good
Pros: Lovely hotel and rooms. Particularly impressed by the turn down service.
Cons: No
4.8 Okay
Pros: room was clean and bathroom large.
Cons: there was a cost of 4pounds per 20 minutes for the internet. should be complimentary. as well, they charged me for newspaper - 1pound, to use my visa to pay bill 2.50pounds and a "carer distribution fee of 1pound. this was unacceptable!
7.6 Good
Pros: Convenience,quality of service
Cons: Smoking in main bar area.
7.2 Good
Pros: Friendliness. Convenience to City Centre. Quiet.
Cons: Long circuit up hill and down dale to executive room on first floor - miles from lift and still requiring negotiating stairs. Brilliant black-out curtains spoiled by light streaming under the door from the corridor.
4.4 Okay
Pros: Staff were friendly and efficient but very busy and difficult to get hold of.
Cons: Hotel was desperately in need of some updating and maintenance. One of two lifts was out of order and the plumbing in our bathroom made an aweful noise.

6.0 Good
Pros: I like how the breakfast was laid out each morning and they rooms were always clean each day and the bed was extremely comfortable
Cons: I feel the staff could have been friendly as we were bluntly told that we could only sit at one table and told we have to be down for breakfast by 7:30 as a big group when I thought it was till 10:30 also there was a new member of staff on reception who had no support or help in what to do so me and my partner had to help her open as bottle of Peroni and tell her how to serve certain drink which I wouldn’t expect to have to do

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! It was all the care taken by all the staff, and their genuine expressions of pleasure at working at the Manoir.... together with the delight in being upgraded into a deluxe suite....and the care taken to celebrate my wife’s 80th birthday! Finally, having the maestro Raymond let me take a photo of him with my wife was the icing on the cake! A very special experience throughout our two night stay.
Cons: Leaving the Manoir!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The ambiance of the estate remarkable
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good food and p[personal service - liked the fact that Mr Blanc was so engaged and present.
Cons: the bed linen smelt slightly stale and ( cigarette) smoky
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was however the most amazing dinner I have ever had. Every part of it was exquisite. I also really loved our room, the double bath and the gardens. It is a wonderful place to stay.
Cons: The wine and food were more expensive than I had thought they would be. We had to take a deep breath.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property and surrounding gardens. Liked the overall design and feel of it. The bathroom had a good variety of toiletries and a very good selection of soaps. The room was large and comfortable and although it was part of a complex it felt secluded and private. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The beds and linens were very comfortable.
Cons: The room service got our breakfast order wrong twice (missing items). The restaurant was quite busy, loud and bright during dinner and didn’t feel very romantic/private. The food was severely overpriced for what it was and took a long time between courses. The walk-in closet didn’t have any heating so it was quite chilly. The suite had electric heating units which were a bit too noisy. The room lacked a minibar/mini fridge. The TV menu kept freezing up and needed many restarting attempts before operating properly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The ambiance
Cons: It was extremely pricey
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Superb staff, amazing food and beautiful grounds. Also a great little pub in the village that is well worth a visit.
Cons: For us the bed was too hard and uncomfortable and the room a little dated and requiring a refresh. A little overpriced for what we got.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: amazing food/experience
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I reserved 3 rooms for my family with dinner and lunch the following day for my birthday. Although the food is fabulous it was a virtual repeat of dinner for lunch the next day. We had a one year old with us and would have been far better off having an informal lunch but weren’t so advised and it was available in another room. The service and rooms are wonderful.

Pros: The room and location was great. Breakfast was nonexistent due to the currant pandemic.
Cons: The communication from staff was a bit hit and miss. We was told about having a hot breakfast bought to the room in the morning because the brassiere was shut due to pandemic, only to find out in the morning when it didn’t turn up that it wouldn’t be possible to have one.

Pros: It's situated near to where we needed to be and provided a good level of service combined with comfortable accomodation at a competitive price.
Cons: The outlook from the room was a little dark as there were mature trees close to the building which blocked the light. These were preferable to a view of the car park or services at the other side however.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I paid online requesting also sofa bed, which was readied with linen and extra towels when I checked in -thoughtful! The room and bath were sparkling clean. We didn't need to pay our teenage sons extra for b'fast which was tasty. Easy parking and grocery.

7.0 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast although not good value for those not wanting cooked food. Nice spacious room with minibar and balcony. Fairly quiet. Good to get out on the river for walks. Food in restaurant was generally good but expensive. Liked the reception area with sofas etc.
Cons: Our bathroom was tiny, didn't appear to be ventilated, and we expected a bath as well as a shower. The soup we had one night in the restaurant wasn't very warm and was watery. Were charged £2.70 for still water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a great hotel just outside Oxford city centre. The rooms were large and the bed was just right. Very friendly staff and food was exceptional.
Cons: Only down side was a long walk to the room....and as the corridors were all the same it was interesting trying to find the exit
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazingly comfortable bed and pillows Good size rooms and fairly quite Proximity to central oxford Gym and pool and welcoming surroundings- lobby, parkland and general setting
Cons: No heated shower rails. Since the change over to Voco this was changed. Shower pressure is very poor, sometimes a trickle
7.9 Good
Pros: Within walking distance of Oxford city centre. Swimming pool
Cons: Don’t think guests staying at hotel should have to pay £10 to park their car. A hotel of this standard should have french mustard in restaurant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was within walking distance from Oxford centre. The beds were exceedingly comfy. Both breakfast and room service were delicious. The garden view from the room was also lovely. I also appreciated the efforts that had been made to ensure the hotel was more environmentally friendly.
Cons: The only thing that could be considered a downside was that, during booking, I had pre-arranged with the hotel for them to do something special/place something in the room for my partner's birthday. This didn't happen but cannot complain as this was an extra and we did arrive quite early, which may have thwarted this. It was also quite busy that weekend, being so close to Valentine's, so do not hold this against the hotel. I would still give a 10/10 and would stay again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Large clean rooms Fast wifi
Cons: Bt bland and corporate. Not quite as close to the centre as we would have liked.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed here in October 2019, and will stay here every time I visit Oxford. It's very close to the train station, 10 minutes' walk from the bus station, and is clean, comfortable, and very convenient. The kitchen facilities are very well equipped and maintained, as are all the public areas. Beds very comfortable with warm quilts and reading light/charging station at every bedside. Awesome breakfast for a reasonable price. Always meet interesting people here.
Cons: It would have been nice to have wifi in the dorms. The library was closed for renovations until May - but I' sure it will be great when reopened. Still quite a tough climb up the stairs with bags.

Cons: Shower cabin is narrow and claustrophobic
