The swimming pool was clean and the garden around beautifully kept. The breakfast was excellent value and choice. The food in the restaurant was excellent but very expensive. The restaurant menu did not change often enough
Too close to the road.
Good location to Gordes, friendly staff and rooms were clean.
The attractive design and setting of the hotel and the furnishing of the rooms. The restaurant offered a good choice for one occasion. The menu was exactlly the same the second night of our stay
The hotel is very cosy. The restaurant L'Ettelan is very good. We had breakfast everyday at the hotel, it was very good, with different types of things to eat and the place of breakfast is by the pool with a beatifull green view.
Excellente room and very good restaurant Need to get a car to go to Gordes
The hotel was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Please put out more towels. In addition, in winter, it would be good to have an extra blanket. We asked for one, and did receive it. That way, we did not have to increase the heat, which saved the hotel money on the utility cost, and had a more resfful night.
according to my bookings.com contract the price of the room was 100 euro per night including breakfeast. however we were not offered breakfeast and were charged 110 euro per night for the room. ken. vincent.
Very nice garden and swimming-pool, beautiful, picturesque and quiet area. Village - Les Imberts - where hotel is situated is not in the center of Gordes, it's about 4 km, so in the evening the only solution is to go by car. The room was not so clean as should be, particularly comparing with the price. The floor (ecpecially in bathroom) was covered with woman, long hair. That should not happen.
We had a very comfortable room, which was warm and cosy. The girls on reception were very helpful. Breakfast was expensive. l
friendly staff, good cuisine, location not the top but avignon center easy reachable... to change tv screen...
excellent for money. The breakfast could be better, but it's ok for France.
Pleasant staff and comfortable room.
Good breakfast and staff was very friendly. Room was small, but for the price, it was appropriate.
very friendly and helpful staff made us feel welcome and want to return small room and bathroom
Car parking Hotel was difficult to find, small bathroom.
close to highway to Avignon Rooms are tiny.
It was basic facilities but good. Breakfast was good. Only the smoke odour in the room
People welcoming you instead of credit cards machines. Canal +
good environment The hotel stuff are very friendly.
The location, the hotel, the room and the spa are wonderfull. The receptionist was adamant during checkout before a misunderstanding regarding the payment of spa services. I hired a half-day spa that included two massages and a "dejeuner" for 195 euros, however when my husband did the checkout said they were two massages with a "petit dejeuner" as I was not present and there was not half a day spa with petit déjeuner but only with déjeuner the receptionist decided to collect the massages a la carte, in case 215 euros without petit déjeuner or déjeuner. When I exit the spa to lunch the mess was made, I clarified the situation and said that I intended to have lunch, then the recepcinista said that could not be possible because the bill was.. ...Already closed. Despite my insistence she remained unmoved and I ended up with no breakfast and no lunch and still did pay 20 euros more. This situation is ridiculous for a 5 star hotel. Much more than unfortunate, with this gesture they spoil my day and all the well-being brought by the spa.
The room was beautiful, the location was supurb, and the service outstanding. Breakfast is overpriced. Eat elsewhere for breakfast.
outstanding location; friendly/helpful staff; attractive spa; for the category, too much noise from the elevator and the next door bathrooms
nice views and decor. Reception business-like with no welcome, no smiles and just a general haughtiness. Very over-priced and not at all frindly.Brekafast 27euros - extortionate! We did not take it and instead had a nice breakfast in the village for 8 euros. This was our 6th or 7th stay at the hotel (last was in 2004) and it has changed greatly for the worse unfortunately.
Facilities and service Bathroom was a little tired.
The hotel is very nice and clean and we got a room upgrade. Good location for exploring the region. Rooms on the village side are a bit noisy.
Exceptional!! I can assure you that this hotel is one of the best places to stay while in Provence! We stayed for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed for a week. Since you will need a car to get to Gordes, you can just use this hotel as your base and drive easily to all the other little towns in a very short amount of time. The view from the hotel is stunning and the service is impeccable. Our room was huge and had an incredible view. We were moved to a valley view since there was availability with no problem. It truly is everything you would expect from a 5 star and more!
The welcome by the male receptionist was very good Gift of wine --a nice touch The female receptionist at check out needs to attend a customer service training coarse
Location staff room Price of meals and breakfast
The gardens are lovely. The staff was not just unhelpful but downright callus, even hostile. I became terribly ill on our first night and had to go to the local hospital. They didn't offer to help us out in any way and refused several specific requests. Not only that, but they made a fuss about us not wanting to pay for a breaksfast that we didn't get to eat because we had been in the emergency room all night.
We had an upstairs room that opened onto a small balcony (not large enough to sit on) with a beautiful view. The room was clean and comfortable, nothing too fancy. The pool was wonderful to relax at after a long day of visiting the hilltop villages in the area. The woman at the front desk was great - she offered to get us dinner reservations and was very helpful (neither of us speak French). Great hotel overall! Location is about a mile outside the actual village of Gordes, so you must drive into the village... not a big deal, but worth noting.
small rooms, everything extra charges
the beautiful garden just outside the room; good parking facility; breakfast is too expansive; room is very small; need to pay everything at the time of check-in and as a result cutting short the staying time is not possible.
Excellent breakfast, quiet nice swimming pool area, discrete service, well organised, good parking facilities, well located, nice place, good airconditioning not possible to have diner or souper but very good restaurants in the neighourhood,.No refrigerator in the room
Nice staff. Stunning location. Disappointing room. Extremely expensive I.E. very poor value for money. The website promises more than the hotel delivers. £14Pp for bread & pastries breakfast, although very nicely done, is 'frustrating'.
We liked the location; the hotel is located just before entering Gordes, very easy to reach. Also, there is a large parking lot.... Never a problem with parking. The biggest drawback was the size of the bedroom and bathroom.... Those were so tiny.... Unfortunately they showed much larger on the pictures. The so-called "terrace" was also disappointing (comfort room)... It is only a small cheap plastic table and two plastic chairs in front of the bedroom door, where all guest were walking by.... The picture, again, showed something different...
It was very conveniently situated near the magnificent town of Gordes. The hotel had a swimming pool which was of reasonable size to cool off after a day in the heat. Lovely gardens and views from the hotel The garden rooms, whilst in a lovely setting were very warm at night particluarly during the current hot spell - limited ability to leave windows open to get the breeze on the lower levels because of flies and security. Breakfast was very expensive for what it was and not worth the money
Gordes is beautiful. Do not expect to walk there from the hotel though as it is a bit precarious and long. Hotel is charming... had garden room N12 with no vis a vis and it was like having a small (really small)appartment as opposite to a hotel room. We loved it anyway. Did not have breakfast there and 5euro for small bottle of beer is a bit much but nonetheless would go back. Pool is great and very quiet.
Location, Hotel itself with grounds and gardens.
The view, the setting, the tranquility.
Superb setting, in particular the terrasse where meals are served. Very friendly personnel. Outstanding cuisine. The gym is not up to the standard of the hotel. No shower in 368 Euro room! Generally a little overpriced (in particular wines). Menu changes only once per month
The pool was great very uncomfortable beds, weak air conditioner, bad breakfast
Beautiful hotel, gorgeous pool area and gardens. Shower was attached to the bath and could not be hung onto the wall for showering. Had to have a bath instead, which made washing my long hair difficult.
Food: Excellent. Simming pool: Perfect. Grounds: beautiful. Decor: beautiful. Room: 1) You must provide more space for clothes. There is a large wall space to the right of the TV where an armoire or chest of drawers should be installed for clothes storage. We had to live out of luggage on the floor because there was not enough closet space. 2) Restaurant: The last night of our stay we felt very rushed by the dining room staff.
Beautiful location, lovely room (in the Mas building), helpful staff, gorgeous pool. Breakfast and meals were expensive, so although the food looked lovely, we chose not to eat at the hotel.
Comfortable well appointed room. Nice view out over Gordes. Nice pool although was unfortunately a bit cold when we were there. Good breakfast. Bit expensive.
Lovely terrace view over to Gordes,Provence. Friendly and helpful staff. Large carpark and easy to find.
The room was clean, the terrace overlooking Gordes was very nice and the staff were helpful. The price was a bit too high considering there is lots of competition in the area.
The view of gordes from the hotel and its courtyard is gorgeous although only a select few rooms enjoy the same vista so, if this is important to you insist on this point when booking. The "table d'Hôtes" has a set menu which you should check ahead as there is no "a la carte" option; the food was well-prepared and delectable on the night we had dinner there. We booked a Deluxe room and were disappointed about the view on a stone wall 10 yards away from our bay window. The room called "Senanque" was quite dark made worse by their electricity saving bulbs. The bathroom however was almost larger than our bedroom and exceptionaly well appointed.
Excellent location. Easy walk into village of Gordes. Great view from outside terrace of villiage and valley. Rooms small but exceptionally clean well appointed and comfortable. Off street parking a real bonus. Food in restaurant was fabulous. Loved the brief stay and would definately rebook.
Lovely staff who could not do enough to help me. Great view from the dining room and dinner was served x3 per week which was of a good standard with local wines from the area. The room was very clean and basic but i didnt spend much time in the room during the daytime so it didnt matter to me. It was good value for money in comparison to some other hotels in Gordes town, but still had the view.
The friendliness of the staff especially the manager It's position. If you were visiting towns in the area you had to negotiate all the narrow twisty roads at least twice a day.
Very nice staff and very good value and close to the village.
Helpful, welcoming staff, great location and view.
Hotel was in a great location and served a gourmet dinner. No electricity in bathroom.
we always meet the nicest people and the atmosphere is wonderful the smell of sewage in the walk-through kitcken on the first day
The staff did everything they could to make us feel special. Lighting on the stairs at night on the grounds. I fell and broke a tendon in my foot because of this lighting. Also, we had to depart a 6AM, when there was no staff, no lights and a seemingly impossible gate to get out of. The code box is on the outside of the fence and in the dark is impossible to reach. My husband had to climb over the gate to get to the box using his phone as a light. We had quite a walk around the property to actually get out to our car, again in the dark. More lighting is definitelly needed for the safety of your guests, many of which are elderly.
Setting, decoration, details. Reception staff is not particularly friendly.
Very relaxed atmosphere and fantastic cuisine Small pool
The friendliness of the staff and the food was fantastic Need a map to get there!!!
quiteness, close to town centre, spacious garden pool water was not heated and a bit too cold
Spa facilities, swimming pool area and the hotel grounds and decor were very nice. Staff were also very attentive. Free wifi in the bedrooms. My room was very small although I was advised of this when booking so can't complain, there are a couple like this, and based on other reviews, most rooms are larger (although this would cost extra to the 185€ we paid per night). My main issue was the cost of any extras in the hotel. Menu prices and drinks were extortionate even if it has a michelin star. Since it's a good 10 minute drive from Avignon, if you don't have a car, you have to go by Taxi, and for some reason that costed around 25€ each one way journey too, making it an expensive couple of days. Not sure if it's normal, but the taxi drivers seemed to start their meter when they were called by the hotel, so the starting tariff would range from 6.50€ to 8.50€ which isn't great.
The staff were very attentive and polite. The layout and facilities in the hotel were lovely and there was a lot of attention to detail. Lovely scented rooms.
The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but once through the doors a large, beautiful courtyard (very well maintained) appears. Nice pool area, and well appointed spa area. Fantastic meal at the restaurant. Very friendly staff. The location is a little "off the beaten path", and you need a car to get anywhere. Overall, a little pricey (both room rate and restaurant).
Very nice and quiet! Excellent Dinner. Very friendly staff. Secure place and parking ground. Close to Avignon. Will come back...
We knew this hotel from a previous stay 10 years ago, it was nice to find out that it still matched our expectations. The restaurant as good as ever.
We absolutely loved this hotel! It has lots of Provencial charm and our room was very pretty and spacious. It is the perfect place to stay in Provence if you don't want to be with all the crowds in Avignon center. It is about a 10 minute drive to Avignon and easy access to other areas of the Luberon region. There are no restaraunts nearby so you will need a car for sure. The hotel has wonderful food but is pricey. It has a great outdoor pool, indoor pool with spa, very lush landscaping and beautiful patios. Very attentive service and wonderful personel.
All the staff were exceptionally polite and helpful, especially the staff at reception, and the restaurant was of a good standard.
Relaxing, clean and friendly Too expensive by far and poor location
convenience too many little things were annoying at this hotel 1) canvas chair on my terrace broke as I sat in it, should have been noticed as defective. 2) no light in closet, and closet door hard to open as bed side table in the way 3) toilet room no where near sink, hard to wash hands, 3) restaurant rather grim and food only ordinary (unusual for France) 4) poolside noisy and crowded 5) No newspapers in the morning as at all other good hotels 5) my bath tub and sink dribbled the water in and out...took 35 minutes to fill tub 6) did not clean room until 2:00PM
Silence, gardens and staffs Due to very weak signal reception, WIFI internet access is not available as described
Staff very helpful especially reception.Food was very good aswell. Expensive for the quality of the rooms-the hotel definitely needs to be refurbished and updated. There were no lounges/sitting areas and the restaurant/swimming pool area felt very cramped.Overall very expensive. For some reason my booking (I cancelled and then rebooked at a cheaper rate) didn't reach the hotel-luckily the hotel had a room.We moved after two nights.
Everything!! We had eaten at this hotel two years ago, and decided to spend a very special anniversary for one night en route to St Tropez. The room was very comfortable overlooking the beautiful gardens and swimming pool. Food was wonderful, tasty and well presented. A place to return to!
We found the hotel to be very relaxing and peaceful. The staff were helpful and the food very good. The only slightly disappointing item was the Breakfast Buffet. Rather limited and unexciting.
Away from the centre of the old city, which was packed because of the Avignon Festival. Peace and quiet with rest and relaxation by the swimming pool could be followed by a short drive into the centre and some sight seeing.
Staff was very kind. Make you feel the most important guest in the hotel. The room was clean and nice, exacty as I expected. Breakfast is too expensive.
A good location just outside Menerbes in France (Provence). One problem was that I had to walk down three steps to go from the bedroom to the bathroom. This could be a problem in the middle of the night. I had to leave a light on in the bathroom all night long so that I would not fall down three steps if I got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom.
Location and sight are great but that is the end of it. Service is inexistent (as in having to beg for a piece of soap after 3 days for 2 people in a room), AC doesn't work and the staff answer to the notice is that they will have it checked but 'it is probably nothing". No staff is available, web access is free but only works in the lobby and to get the password requires persistent and the lobby is outside temperature. Room service is only diligent at packing blankets on the bed, every day when the outside and inside temp is above 100 F (35 C). Booking.com shouldn't even have this place listed as it bearly qualifies as a hotel, more a place where you can have a room with electricity, but no service. No functioning AC, front desk is mostly unattended, restaurant seem to be the best part of it, but I couldn't get myself to subsidize such a bad operation...
It was close to the village of Menerbes and it turned out to be not only convenient but a really adorable place to stay. Well decorated and comfortable.
The room was lovely and the food was excellent The air conditioning system was broken and the rooms were intolerably hot, the service of the staff was poor and numerous errors - all in the hotel's favour - were made on our final bill.
Peaceful. Simple. Quiet. No dinning the kitchen was closed
it was very comfortable, quiet and no hassle. could do with air conditioning.
Excellent location, quite countryside spot well placed for visiting villages. High quality restaurant Price a bit toppy for room and restaurant
Its position, in the countryside near many pretty villages, calm, swimming pool facility; Excellent food but rather very expensive ; The staff was very good and pleasant; Room very spacious. The lack of a cheaper menu at the restaurant as first price of 59 euros is very expensive and the same for a la carte dishes; Lack of lighting in the bedroom made reading almost impossible;Breakfast price of 19 euros for the type of service is also a little steep;
The location of the hotel. The room had only one very small window which did not supply enough ventilation. When asked to change our room the staff were unco-operative & this could only be achieved by a further increase in price. Compared to all our other accommodation in France we did not feel that this hotel provided good value for money. Also for travellers with large luggage there was no sealed path to the hotel which meant a long way to carry heavy bags.
The daytime manager was pleasant and helpful. Our second room was basic, but clean. The night manager was awful. The code we were given for after-hours check-in did not work, so some other guests let us in and helped us find him, but he was abusive and at first refused to help us. Only after we demonstrated that the machine wasn't working did he sullenly get us a room key - for an already occupied room. The room we finally got was small, dirty, hot and uncomfortable. The next day we were moved into a cleaner, cooler room. The hotel's location would have been very inconvenient for visiting Avignon, if not for the fact that extra buses were running during the July festival in Avignon.
The air-conditioning worked only for the first day. Even when it was on, it did not help a lot. The room is just too stuffy and hot. Suggest not to stay during hot summer.
Pleasant reception staff, pool. Buffet breakfast soon ran out of food and staff refused to re stock the table, don't be last down for breakfast.
The staff is helpful and nice. The gentlemen helped us to book a taxi on our departure date. That's quie early and we won't be able to catch our train if he didn't help us. Though his mother language is Franch, he speaks quite good English. However the bill includes 4 breakfast but we juse ordered 2 at that time because we check-out early. (We just know that after leaving the hotel) Even worse, we missed the breakfast because we didn't wake up on time because we were still using the UK time.......wasting 4 breakfast in total.
use of pool and close to main motorway and choice of eating facilities. only 1 of the 3 rooms booked was available - a second room was organised at a nearby acotel. very disappointed.
It was comfortable, clean and friendly and helpful staff. It was handy for trips to town but difficult to get to town when the buses were not running for a public holiday. The fact that there was only one bus and difficult to get to town during the public holiday time.I do not remember any details about the need
The pool was nice on a hot day. Breakfast was quite good for the price. We had to wait a long time to be booked in due to some problem with computer. The staff were very nice about it but a drink whilst we waited would have been nice. They did allow us to use our room towels for the pool whilst we waited. The hotel was not as we expected for the price. I think the pool cost a lot.
Helpful staff, clean, good A/C, nice pool.
Nothing Hotel building is like a container box. Very old and small room, too narrow for family. I strongly not recomend this hotel for family. I made 6 hotels for my vacation, this hotel is worst.
close to restaurants and shopping mall. The front desk counter was friendly and helpful the parking compound was dusty.
Friendly staff, cleanliness, excellent value for the cost
Room was good and breakfast was excellent No swimming pool
The rooms were dark and tiny. The shower was definately not great.
The room is really value for money. Although the locations was away from Avignon centre, it was no problem for us as we had rented a car.
The proximity to the Avignon Nord commercial centre and a number of restaurants, and proximity to the motorway and main roads to Avignon and other places in the vicinity.
ok for a quick sleepover without any comfort requirements the room was dirty, linen and towels hadn't been changed for ages, with stains visible on pillow cases, bed linen and towels. it was obvious that someone in the hotel had tried to cover it up instead of changing it.
Clean, compact, organised, good breakfast. Way out of town, wrong gps coordinates on info.
Clean and tidy cheap and good for a one night stop over
Good comfortable bed. Good Breakfast After hours there was no one at the hotel and the parking lot was locked. Was not sure how to check in.
The staff was very nice. There are no internal hallways at Premiere Class. The hotel takes the motel concept. You access your room by the external balconies. Your window faces the balcony. At other hotels I avoid the ground floor as I like at least some privacy and want to avoid people being able to look through my window. At Premiere Class all rooms are ground floor rooms and there is no privacy. The windows are small so not much light comes in if you open your shades... and if you don't well the lighting was horrible. I felt like I was in a tiny dungeon. The desk was too small to sit at comfortably with my computer.
Basic spot for day/night trip, fairly remote from any city, within shopping complex, with no communication with the city.Selection driven by price.Clean place to sleep only Very unprofessional staff,no language skills and very unfriendly and unhelpful.I have exoerienced this, when got lost and tried to get driving directions on the phone.Room cramped with bunkbeds
24/7 checkout, free parking, free wifi, airconditioning. space shuttle bathroom (1 sq m probabably), bed looked like it was not cleaned after the previous client, poor breakfast for its price. Would be good value for money if the room costed about 30 euros, otherwise too expensive for the comfort provided.
Location is perfect for exploring Provence. It is close to Isle-Sur-la-Sorque which is one of our favourite places for browsing and eating. The rooms are comfortable and secure. The included breakfast was of a high standard. The first room was very small but the proprietor advised that it was the room I selected. In any event she upgraded me as soon as a better room became available.
