7.0 Good

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Résidence Le Virginia by Popinns in Grasse, you'll be within a 15-minute walk of International Perfume Museum and Grasse Cathedral. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Loved a spaceous room and kind staff. Very close to the parking house.
Cons: Quite a walk from the city centre.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The reception staff were helpful. The room was big. Location was close to the train station. (Be aware it's a reasonable climb to the centre)
Cons: Breakfast was pretty poor, maybe because it was busy, but I had to ask for a bowl for cereal as they were all used. Hardly any juices or milk. Very underwhelming. Check in time doesn't allow for late arrival which is disappointing for a hotel but not bad for Grasse...
1.0 Poor
Pros: A separate sitting room.
Cons: The room key did not work after single use. The parking stub did not work and I had to beg the garage attendant to lift the bar for me. Lighting was very poor.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious apartment
Cons: A tough uphill walk to get into the centre of Grasse
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Friendly staff. Posibility of late arrival.
5.3 Okay
Cons: It's very difficult to locate the hotel. To me, I can reach there with the help of police.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful hotel and grounds. Great rooms great staff. Excellent place
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: The chateau was really nice and cosy, the room itself was really warm, the environment give you the feeling of warming already from the beginning. If you want to take a break from the city this is a good place to stay. The breakfast is a good buffet. Just one thing, the hotel is not actually so near to the train station. It does says that is only 900 mt from but in reality you have to walk more than 20 minutes to get there. And I am a really fast walker
Cons: Overall the room was all good the only perks that I found were the sounds coming from the others rooms, apparently someone was taking a shower and it sounded like there were inside my room. In a place like this you expect the walls to be a little bit more thick. The bathroom was really cold. The restaurant was a big fall. I eat really often in Michelin stars restaurant and I know what to expect from them, but this one was a big fail, way too expensive for one Michelin star, the service it wasn’t good at all, I mean no so special for the expectations that I had, we took a seasonal menu of four corses and I found only one dish acceptable. The fish was way too buttery. The meat was boring And the dessert was a disaster. Only the first course was good, but I think only because was a classic of the fine dining kitchen. The price of the wine was fine. I’m really sad to write a review like this one, I usually prefer to do not write if I had a bad experience but this time I think is right to do it because from Michelin stars restaurant I do expect more than the normal standard.
7.9 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast; friendly staff and magnificent view from balcony over grounds.
Cons: Hotel prides itself on fabulous food. Unfortunately it comes at fabulous prices and there were very limited options - only room service. We visited because of Alpes Maritime location not for gastronomic reasons. Big disappointment.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional imaginative elegant food , well presented with fantastic authentic Provençal flavours.
Cons: Slow service for breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The food and wine were absolutely phenomenal at lunch and dinner. Breakfast was good but probably slightly overpriced for the quality and choice. We loved the beautiful grounds and the staff was just super helpful and very accommodating. We attended a wedding and were a bit worried about driving so they helped us find a fantastic driver for the day at the last moment. The staff always knew who we were addressing us by name throughout the property.
Cons: I know it was an unexpectedly hot week (one of the hottest in history!) but it would have been nice if the room attendant didn't keep shutting off the main switch at turn down which affected the AC. Made for at least one sticky, uncomfortable night. Only qualm.
6.7 Good
Pros: The grounds were magnificent--verdant views from everywhere. The staff was highly trained and professional. Easy parking and restaurant on the property with a wonderful breakfast (but not included).
Cons: The room was overcrowded--difficult to negotiate with inadequate place for our luggage. The toilet and bidet while wonderful were located in separate rooms from the main bathroom. The hotel did not provide a/c despite having controls in our room. Until we complained we had no knowledge that there wasn't working a/c during our stay. The beds were lumpy as were the pillows and the linens were rough. Intermittent beeping noise during the night. We were told that a person sleeping outside our room in a car caused the noise. Lastly, the use of the word "complementary" breakfast lead us to assume breakfast was included. Staff seemed to confirm this. However, upon check out we learned that there was a $31 euro fee per person for the wonderful breakfast we had. After complaining about the above conditions, the hotel deducted the cost of the breakfast but were not initially forthcoming re: our disappointing stay at a Relais & Chateau rated hotel.
7.9 Good
Pros: The room was easily accessible and big as was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The view from the room was beautiful.
Cons: The toilet in the room was in a strange place not near the bathroom and there was no basin in the toilet. We had Room no 2. The food was extremely expensive. We are not foodies and we found the process exhorbitant.
6.7 Good
Pros: Convenient location to visit Grasse, Mougins and surroundings. Properly has great charm with great exterior landscaping. Views from breakfast terrace are lovely.
Cons: Classic rooms are in need of a refresh. Bed and pillows are uncomfortable and dow filled pillows only delivered upon request! Not 5*

8.0 Excellent
Pros: A charming and characterful house with a lovely terrace. Very friendly owners (managers?), a roaring fire in the main room, a pétanque area in the garden, and a pleasant and comfortable, if slightly small room. We booked for two nights but stayed three :)
Cons: Out of season there was no restaurant. Pity, as it would have made evenings easier.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful historic property that was pleasantly well maintained and updated for its age. Excellent value for the price. Very warm and friendly hosts that went out of their way to make me comfortable. I had no significant problems over a 2week stay.
Cons: Very little to criticize! Perhaps making it more clear which nights the dining room is closed would be a good idea.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: La Bellaudiere was the perfect place to start our time in Provence! The three people working there were awesome and so helpful, the room was adorable, and the views were heavenly. We would definitely stay there again!
7.1 Good

10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything the owners were lovely and very knowledgeable. Beautiful property with sea view and affordable.
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Imagine lying in bed in early in the morning to be woken by the smell of croissants baking wafting up through the staircase and into your room . Sipping crystal clear Minutey Cotes de Provence Rose out in the Balcony with the fairy lights in the trees and in the morning on the self same balcony petit dejuner with crisp freshly baked croissants, natural yogurt , fresh orange juice and fruit . There is something timeless about staying at
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was adequate, it was a bonus not to have machine coffee. Parking on site but a little tight! Few hundred meters from a bus stop into town. Open fire made it feel real cosy. The terrace overlooking Grasse was stunning, with a view of the Med in the distance.
Cons: Food could have been better, Madame told us that they didn't normally serve meals, we thought all Logis had restaurants.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts were amazingly friendly and could have not been more helpful( including providing us some great suggestions on where to go in the surrounding area). The hotel has a great charm and a exudes a very warm and welcoming feeling. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Our room was clean, quite( no traffic or other noise) and had a great view towards the sea. Would definitely recommend staying at the La Bellaudiere to anyone contemplating being in that area.

Cons: Slightly off from city
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A perfect setting for a truly unforgettable experience: in the middle of Provence pine trees, felt really at home, great breakfast, peaceful and beautiful architecture & decoration. Top experience. Looking forward to coming back soon
Cons: Parking: car had to be parked outside, but there was enough space inside the villa, since there were very few guests. Gates should be open upon arrival at least to unload the luggage
7.1 Good
Pros: The property was beautiful and had lovely views
Cons: Check in was not until 4 and check out is at 11 - we had a knock on our door at 11.03 to chase us out . The proprietors are not very user friendly and seem to be more focused on the money . They charge an extra 5 euros to park at the property and have not arranged payment in any other way but cash .
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is so much comfortable and good view .
9.2 Excellent
Cons: wifi signal too poor to work
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow! This place and hostess were wonderful. Set in a very quiet area and full of facillities (we didn't have time to enjoy), it is beautifully kept. Thank you.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely peaceful location lovely old building With a really nice owner, lovely buffet breakfast Would really recommend
Cons: Room a bit hot without air conditioning
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We spent a most enjoyable week in this very characteristic B&B. Our stylish room came with a balcony, from which we could view the whole city of Grasse, the surrounding countryside and even the sea some 20 km away. Just beautiful! We were treated to a wonderful breakfast each morning, including fresh pastries and baguettes, flavorful jams and cheeses. Our host, Pierre, made us feel right at home from the beginning, and he was very helpful suggesting sights to see and things to do. A car is needed but parking is right in front of the house.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We were welcomed on arrival, very warm and friendly approach. The breakfast was very good. Some of the bedroom lights did not work and the TV was out of action, this made little difference to our stay
Cons: recommend that the path to the swimming pool could be improved but this did not affect our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners are very nice and kind couple. They helped us with everything. Breakfast was delicious. In addition a wonderful garden. The best place I have ever been in Europe.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The view and the garden. Parking available across the street.
Cons: Difficult access. Having to wait to be let in after a long drive. No warm welcome (the woman almost seemed annoyed that I was there). No assistance or advice offered. NO AIRCON despite the claim. Room too hot to sleep (28 degrees), noisy with windows open.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were extremely happy with the way we were welcomed and the spirit of being treated as family /friends. The view from the house was breathtaking and the garden with access to the pool was amazing. Breakfast was delicious and varied. We would really recommend this place and already plan to come back next year!

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful romantic accommodation with heated swimming pool, delicious French breakfasts, the possibility of requesting breakfast to your taste. I positively evaluate the possibility of self parking. If possible, we will visit this accommodation again in October or November.
Cons: We were looking for accommodation for four people on a business trip and unfortunately we only got a room with two double beds with one double quilt, which we additionally solved by adding blankets. It would be great to have two separate beds in the hotel offer in the future

Pros: Excellent all round - brilliant service, very approachable personnel, great facilities, amazing location. Very authentic and quaint rooms (very clean). Great food too!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel with the history and atmosphere. Good location. The most comfortable mattress and pillows which we ever had in the hotels.
Cons: The stuff during breakfast could be more friendly. Could be perfect to have some welcome drink or just complimentary bottle of the water in the room
6.0 Good
Pros: The ambiance was nice- classic old style .The rooms were big and the view spectacular. Unfortunately the bath tub drain cover was not working so it required a nail file to remove the cover to drain the tub. This was repeated every day of our stay without the staff fixing it! The room was not cleaned on returning in the afternoon and we were told by reception that we had to call for cleaning !The wall tiles had black mould which Is really unacceptable in a hotel of this class.also, our room had chipped paint around doors and peeling wallpaper trim. All in all,This hotel needs revamping. On the plus side, the location is the best in Nice.
Cons: The staff were very poor in responding to complaints - no apologies ever.My room smelled of mould ,to discover next day that there was a furnace type room opening into my closet, which did not have a door.On complaining ,I was given an excuse instead of an apology. Also, after staying 3 days,I was stopped by a security doorman on entering the lobby ,to question me if I was staying at the hotel. Very very upsetting and again ,after telling him yes ,no apology. Good staff should know the guests and be carful before causing an embarrassing moment. The service at breakfast was very poor and the buffet layout difficult to manage due to the tightness of the restaurant.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful wonderful staff and location location location. The rooms were well appointed and in a style that suited the hotel. The balcony was a great place to get a lovely view of the sea. The rooms were larger then most European hotel rooms and air conditioned which made it very comfortable in the August heat. The public areas and dining rooms were very comfortable and charming. Good business center with easy access.
Cons: The carpet in the halls made it hard to move luggage around and did not fit the period and style of the hotel. Some of the art didn't suit the hotel ambiance. The carpet in our room was very worn and old. The bathroom had chipped sharp tiles and had not been updated which was a little disappointing for the price point. We were also disappointed that no one informed of the beach facilities available.

Cons: The beds and pillows were a little uncomfortable for our liking. (Not as soft as we would like)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel had a perfect location and inside the rooms it is extremely silent. The rooms are spacious, very clean and luxurious. Breakfast is served at the table which makes you relax much more.
Cons: The spa is very good, but crowded. Even in the afternoon many people were there so the whole effect of relaxing disappears a bit.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfortable hotel in a great location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast room is very nice, good buffet and excellent variety of warm dishes. Loved the pancakes. The only negative point was the quality of the cappuccino, but then I'm Italian! The SPA is very nice. Amenities in the rooms are good quality and refreshed regularly. We had some issues to address and the staff was extremely friendly and effective to meet our demands.
Cons: The room service selection is poor for a five stars hotel and not suited to have a light evening meal when you don't feel like going out. I told this to the reception already.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: I left a bag with a 100 euro pair of swimming shorts there. Called them to ask about it 1 day later they said none of the staff turned anything in, that they would call me back the next day which they never did...

A great place to relax, enjoy the nature and take a swim in the lovely pool. The owner is a delight, very international and instantly conencts with people. Breakfast was a real treat, overlooking the beautiful garden while dreaming of the French lifestyle. Location is great when you want to visit Grasse. A recommendation for perfume lovers.

Pros: As mentioned previously, we loved everything about this little chambre d'hotes not too far from Grasse but in a very quiet corner of the world. The host was super welcoming and gave us lots of tips and advice. Our room was a dream and the views of sunrise and setting great. The outdoors pool was heated to 27 degrees and breakfast was really good and included lots of yummy French pastries, great bread, homemade jams... I would totally go back and stay again.
Cons: Honestly loved Everything about La Bergerie. It was amazing.

Pros: Nice settings, nice rooms. Very clean.

Pros: This hotel is so much comfortable and good view .

Cons: wifi signal too poor to work

Pros: Wow! This place and hostess were wonderful. Set in a very quiet area and full of facillities (we didn't have time to enjoy), it is beautifully kept. Thank you.

Pros: La Bellaudiere was the perfect place to start our time in Provence! The three people working there were awesome and so helpful, the room was adorable, and the views were heavenly. We would definitely stay there again!

Not 5*
