Pros: Easily accessible by bus and train, a great base for exploring local area. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable and the lovely host carried our bags up the stairs for us.
Cons: No complaints
Pros: Quiet room Location is between attractions For Caen I prefer near train station Im room safe
Cons: Hotel is not bad,but nothing special Room small ,no minibar Narrow space between safe and bed, hard to use A bit expensive for what offers
Pros: Good facilities and location. Staff were lovely. No concerns - property was as expected!
Pros: Excellent continental breakfast , with juices & coffee/tea 'on-tap'. Centrally located with easy walking distance to bars/cafes/shops & public car parking.
Cons: All good, difficult to suggest improvements !
Pros: The location was excellent and we were fortunate to find a parking place outside the door. Other parking is not far away. The proprietor was friendly and, with one exception, efficient. The room was modern, bright and well equipped. There was a good breakfast and complimentary tea and coffee was provided during the day.
Cons: The proprietor suggested an excellent local restaurant, offered to book a table there for us but then forgot to do so! The restaurant kindly sorted the problem by fitting us in later in the evening. The moral is to follow his suggestions but make your own bookings.
Pros: The owner made you feel very welcome and he was always on hand to answer questions. He couldn’t have made us feel more at home.
Cons: Central location comfortable beds although rooms are compact.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay in Caen. The hotel was in a perfect location. The staff were lovely and the room was very clean and comfortable.
Cons: It was a little noisy at night because of traffic from the street, but not enough to disrupt our sleep.
Pros: Wonderful help from Laure in reception

With a stay at Hôtel Mary's, you'll be centrally located in Caen, within a 15-minute drive of Prairie Racecourse and L'Ilot z'Enfants. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
Pros: Everything! Mary is a lovely host and her hotel is spotless. The room we had was spotless, nice decor, perfect temperature and very quiet even with a road outside. Of course this was December so windows were closed. Excellent location for the tram into Caen and taxi, bus and train station.
Cons: Nothing to not like.
Pros: Everything was perfect from A to Z and Maryse was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The location opposite the train station was ideal.
Cons: There wasn’t a single thing I didn’t like.
Pros: Central location, Mary was excellent
Cons: Parking was an issue
Pros: A fan in the room was a relief in the absence of air conditioning.
Cons: Breakfast not included in rate.
Pros: Perfect location, friendly owner, very clean and well appointed, comfortable beds, good coffee.
Pros: My wife and I had an exceptionally pleasant stay at Hotel Mary's. Upon our arrival Mary, the owner, warmly welcomed us and provided superb information about Caen, its restaurants and the Normandy D-Day Beaches excursions. In fact, Mary was able to book a D-Day Beaches tour for us at the Caen D-Day Museum and at a great discount, too! Hotel Mary's is conveniently located diagonally across from the Caen Railway Station and the new Caen city tram lines. Our room was clean, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. To top it all off, Mary serves a magnificent breakfast at only 8 euros per person. We highly recommend that you stay at Hotel Mary's when you are visiting Caen.
Cons: We liked everything about our stay at Hotel Mary's!
Pros: Fantastic location. Quiet despite being so close to the train station, and the staff and owner were so very kind. Place was spotless. Would definitely stay there again.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, perfect location, pillow, room was quiet and very clean

Pros: The room was spacious, clean and modern. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was included and had great choice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance into the town. Parking was available and easy.
Cons: The plates and dishes at breakfast were not particularly clean.
Pros: I always know it will meet my expectations. I like having parking right there and there were several choices of restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Great location
Pros: Modern, minimalistic and urban in the otherwise romantic Caen.
Pros: Great location modern feel
Pros: Close to train station and restaurants/shopping mall within walking distance. If you are just looking for a place to sleep with no extra fancy amenities then this hotel is fine.
Cons: No parking at hotel so you need to use the public underground parking garage. Parking is validated from 6pm to 9am. No restaurant on site. Breakfast is limited. Cereal, fruit, pastries, cheese, etc but no full breakfast choice. First room I checked into had broken AC. Initial reply from front desk was to open the window. Asked to transfer to a new room.
Pros: Very comfortable bed and pillows and no cloying spray on the carpet made for a very good sleep. The location beside the SNCF Gare was a bonus.
Pros: Clean room, helpful staff provided very clear parking instruction, great location. Great breakfast.
Caen is a historic town in the heart of Normandy dairy country, near the coast, with many points of interest including medieval remains, abbeys, castles, the Peace Memorial Museum, Normandy landing beaches, delicious local cuisine and fresh seafood. The Best Western Plus® Le Moderne is in the city center and is open all year round. You will receive a warmed and personalized welcome while enjoying a pleasant stay in quiet surroundings. The spacious, individually decorated rooms are soundproofed and fully-equipped with satellite television, mini-bar and direct-dial telephones.
Pros: Staff were friendly and outstandingly helpful. They booked us a taxi based in Ouistreham, who was also excellent. Firm, comfortable - and enormous - bed.
Cons: There was nothing we disliked. Full breakfast was a little expensive at 16 Euro we thought, so we went for the Express breakfast at 8 Euro which was fine. BBC News on the TV would have been ideal, but CNN was good to have.
Pros: Very good
Pros: The friendliness of the staff and their efficiency. We felt the room was of a high standard; tastefully decorated and well cared for. The location of the Hotel; and the secure parking made our stay exceptional.
Cons: No toaster available at breakfast.
Pros: Friendly staff , very clean
With a stay at Le Château d'audrieu in Audrieu, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Festyland and Sirena Aquatic Centre. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautiful building set in lovely grounds. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble.
Cons: Our room did not have a hook for the shower on the wall high enough to stand under so unless you wanted a bath it was difficult
Pros: Lovely chateau with charming rooms.
Pros: The hotel is located in a beautiful park and surrounded by all sorts of gardens. Superb in every way; a guest is treated as a real king or queen.
Cons: The price of the breakfast and drinks is rather high. In case of "eating out", you have to go by car, since there are no other restaurants close by.
Pros: Beautiful building and location
Cons: Small room, average food and not enough trained staff.
Pros: This is a most remarkable property, so very glad circumstances allowed us to find it. The staff is exceptional in every way; our warmest thanks to Tatiana, Fabien and Giles (the best). We will return one day...
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
Pros: Everything in this hotel is first class ! The management and staff are complete professionals. The facilities are very good. The food is excellent !
Cons: There is absolutely nothing to dislike.
With a stay at inspiration by balladins Caen Mémorial in Saint-Contest, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Festyland and Caen Memorial. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: I have stayed at this hotel before and so was happy to stay again. It is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Cons: - there was a constant hum in the room at night - the hotel was very quiet yet still the staff put another guest next to my room who arrived at 1am!
Pros: The room was comfortable the restourant next door was good They gave us a quiet room as we asked for -very nice
Pros: Excellent parking. Close to le memorial. Lift to all floors. Kettle in bedroom. Good hotel bar. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Ex supermarket nearby. Professional accueil.
Cons: No bus service to central city. Not especially well insulated - if noisy occupants in next room. Internet not consistently reliable.
Pros: Cleanliness and staff
Cons: Clean modern excellent definately use it again
Pros: Clean, newer hotel with nice-sized rooms. They were able to provide a handicapped accessible room also, which was very appreciated. Staff was all very friendly and accommodated many special requests from our group.
Cons: The hotel was not very close to any Caen attractions...car needed.
Pros: This is the 4th or 5th time we have stayed in this hotel. It’s very convenient for the ferry port at Ouistreham - only about 15 mins drive and has a large, well lit carpark. As always the room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The beds are comfortable and we tend to get a good nights rest here. There is a good selection for breakfast including pastries, fruit, yogurt, ham, cheese, boil your own eggs and hot sausage/scrambled eggs. The coffee from the machine is excellent. The staff are always very pleasant and efficient.
Cons: We never find anything not to like here!
Pros: Clean rooms, good location, easy stay for just one night
Pros: Loads of free onsite parking - fenced with an electric gate (although I dont recall them closing it). The rooms are small but comfortable, not a lot of spare space, so travel light. The bathroom is good, clean and functional. Location wise, its not far from the main roads and is about 15/20 mins from the ferry port. The restaurant next door is very good. If you're there on a friday/saturday night, book a table. Also you get 10% off if you show your room card (unless you forget... :( )
Cons: I really dont like the idea of having the toilet and handbasin in a separate room and the toilet is in a room so small that your knees almost touch the door. The heating / ac does work, but it seems to take an age to warm up and an age to cool down again.
With a stay at ACE Hôtel Caen Nord Mémorial in Saint-Contest, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Festyland and Caen Memorial. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: located conveniently right off the Autobahn
Cons: could hear the noise from the main road, rooms were small
Pros: Desk Clerk Guillame was an excellent host providing information about the area and dining recommendations. Breakfast service was efficient and tasty.
Pros: Everything else was wonderful!
Cons: Breakfast was disappointing
Pros: The staff at this hotel are unfailingly pleasant, highly efficient and helpful. The beds are comfortable and the rooms very clean. The breakfast room is well-managed and breakfast, like the hotel as a whole, is good value.
Pros: The location is great! It’s a 10 minute walk to the museum and there’s a decent restaurant right next door. The bed was very comfortable, the room was quiet, and the shower was good.
Cons: The breakfast was okay. It was 7 euros, so for that price I should not expect great.
Located in Colombelles, Hôtel Libéra Caen is in the business district, within a 15-minute drive of Caen Memorial and Caen Castle. Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-in, and express check-out. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The staff was very helpful and the room and bathroom were clean.
Cons: The location is outside of Caen and you do need a car .
Pros: Breakfast was fine. As expected. Lovely room to have it in.
Cons: Tepid tea and poor tasting coffee as fashionable machines
Pros: The breakfast was good
Cons: This is not a proper hotel in that it is difficult to get a good night's sleep here. We stayed here two nights and were woken up three times each night by people talking loudly as they passed the bedroom and vehicles moving in the car park late at night. The problem is the poor design of the building complex and the bedrooms: 1. The carpark is positioned too close to many bedrooms and every vehicle movement is heard. Good design separates rooms from vehicles. 2. The footpaths from reception and car parks go past the bedrooms and all noise from passerbys can be heard. 3. This is because you have to have the French window open or you suffocate. The rooms are hot and airless and the air conditioning only blew out warm air. So, with no option but to open the window all noise is heard. 4. This hotel has a policy of leaving its bar open until 1am and encourages people to disturb sleepers late at night. Proper hotels encourage no noise or movement between 2300 and 0700. A hotel is defined by creating a quiet space to be in, where you can sleep. This hotel does not do this and hence is not a hotel. We did not sleep here much over two nights. A suggestion. Managers and designers of this hotel should try out the bedrooms for two nights and see how they feel after having little or no sleep. Perhaps then they can re-design the hotel as a hotel.
Pros: Large rooms, great beds, huge shower, fun breakfast, great people.
Cons: A non standard hotel because it looks like a bunch of boxcars piled neatly. The rooms were very large with huge showers. The people are great. It's outside of Caen by a ways so that didn't affect us.
Pros: Very spacious room Staff very helpful providing parking and room suitable for poor mobility. Excellent welcome despite arrival after 10 pm
Pros: Convenient hotel on the suburbs of Caen. Next to the Supermarkt. 10minutes driving to downtown of Caen. Room is equipped with small kitchen and there is possible to use laundry machine available for hotel guest
Cons: Wi-fi could have bit better range
Cons: The only criticism was the WiFi connection.
Pros: Like a home from home
Pros: Helpful man at the front desk
Cons: slippery bathrooom floor
With a stay at Royal Hotel Caen Centre, you'll be centrally located in Caen, within a 15-minute drive of Caen Memorial and Prairie Racecourse. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services.
Pros: Yes bed really comfy would love to take the bed home to ireland didnt have any food to eat in hotel
Cons: More milk in the room only 2 small milk nuggets provided my husband would use 3 in his coffee a hiscuit to go with it would have been nice no mints on reception desk as used to be the case
Pros: good location
Cons: A little expensive for a fairly basic hotel
Pros: Excellent staff. Nothing too much trouble.
Pros: Could walk to historic parts of city.
Cons: Street dug up out front. Cars had to detour around the block.
Pros: Location- close proximity to shops, restaurants, transportation and museums.
Pros: Location was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Room updated and clean
Cons: The attached bar was nice and had a good selection but wasn’t the warm, comfortable kind of place to relax in.
Pros: Location is great and there is parking just across the road.
With a stay at Hôtel François d'Ô, you'll be centrally located in Caen, within a 15-minute drive of Festyland and Caen Memorial. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a library, and a safe deposit box at the front desk.
Pros: Hotel is in one of the few historic buildings left standing after wartime bombing. Decor generally simple, but comfortable. Proprietors welcoming and helpful. Quiet location on semi pedestrian side street - ideal for shopping and tourism. Paying parking nearby.
Cons: Quality of standard room we were allocated not up to expected standard. Room small, bed a small double and "bathroom" impossibly small - was of the 'preformed plastic' type. My 6 foot husband could not stand in shower and move his arms! We requested change of rooms: were offered a comfortable, light and airy room with modern shower room and king size bed for 15 euros extra. We took it. No complaints thereafter!
Pros: Great staff, great location by the tram lines. Recommend
Pros: Clean falicities, awesome location in old Clean, friendly staff.
Pros: Such a pleasant place. You couldn't wish for more in a city that is more interesting than you would judge at first sight.
Pros: Great hotel in a perfect location.
Pros: I had a small room, the hotel is in the Centre of Caen. Reception was closed but with a quick call they arranged access for me, and even finished cleaning my room early so that I could put my bags inside. Staff were lovely and gave me ideas of what to see in Caen.
Cons: Small room, but it’s an old building so the rooms are small. The power point was under the desk across the room. It would be good to have a power point next to the bed so you can charge overnight and set an alarm.
Pros: Excellent location with lots of restaurants nearby, loved the vibe of the city and the hotel. The staff is really friendly, the room was small but efficient. Really enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel, very cute and eclectic. Cleaning staff was great too, very punctual.
Cons: Bed was stable, sliding and not comfortable, has to be improved. All other things were perfect.
With a stay at Hotel La Consigne, you'll be centrally located in Caen, within a 15-minute drive of Festyland and Caen Memorial. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Pros: The place is in an excellent location. Would stay here again
Pros: Right across from the train station! Right next to the car rental Perfect jumping off point after a long travel day and a goodnight sleep followed by traditional French breakfast!
Cons: Nothing only that we couldn’t stay another night
Pros: Did not have time to have breakfast. Had to take taxi to make early ferry.
Cons: For the location and neighborhood it was acceptable. A Nice place - not especially but adequate for our purposes.
Pros: Good location, easy parking on street outside. Swift check-in procedure
Cons: Room was small and very hot, with no fan or air-conditioning provided
Pros: Location. Immediately outside train station.
Pros: Excellent location, friendly welcoming staff. Newly renovated and spotlessly clean
Pros: Near the train station, very practical
Cons: A little bit problem with the internet
Cons: The location was directly across from the train station and at night we often returned quite late and the convenience store next door attracted small groups of men just lingering around and it was a bit disturbing for us.
Pros: Proximity to station and car rentals
Cons: WiFi worked erratically and mostly not at all in iPhone

On the premises, you will find a fitness room, breakfast service and outdoor parking. Pros: Modern and comfortable.
Cons: Additional cost for parking; Expensive breakfast cost.
Pros: Staff,. Cleanliness, very good for local people who want to hit bar.
Cons: This is not a 4star property. Room size is small. And sofa bed and double bed wasn't comfortable. The bin is very small for an apartment.
Pros: We ave stayed in Caen three previous times. Every tine, we booked someplace closer to William the conqueror’s Castel. The Adagio is only a block from the tram which took us everywhere we wanted to go. The apartments are well equipped. We cooked dinner in one night and fixed breakfast in our apartment every morning. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
Pros: Staff were extra helpful and friendly Good breakfast Great facilities
Cons: Smell in the bathroom
Pros: good selection clean & tidy presentation
Cons: unable to obtain "proper"english tea & milk to enable a cup of tea to be made early morning. Not everyone likes Earl Grey and/or herbal teas they are just fancy brands. Neither the hand or bath towels were changed during our 3day stay.
Pros: Close center, Adagio mostly always nice, confort, space
Cons: girl receiving me was only busy looking at her computer, made me feel akward and uncomfortable. No real connextion
Pros: Good location, close to the train station and a short walk for the city center. Nice room, more than enough for our one night stay before heading off to our road trip around Normandy.
Cons: The bed was not the most comfortable I've ever seen, but nothing that kept me from having a good night of sleep.
The 4-star Novotel de Caen Côte de Nacre hotel is located close to Caen city center and the Mémorial, between Paris and Mont-Saint-Michel. The hotel has 126 rooms, a restaurant, bar and garden with heated swimming pool, as well as 6 meeting rooms. The hotel is located 10 minutes from the train station and the airport and 15 minutes from the beach. The hotel is perfect both for business trips and for a weekend in Normandy as a couple or family. The hotel offers high-speed WIFI and a free car park.
Pros: Reception. Decent room. Typical Novotel.
Cons: Pricey breakfast but decent food.
Pros: Reception staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. Pool was very well needed after a hot day at Juno Beach. The restaurant food was lovely and the buffet breakfast was amazing - and the kids ate FREE! Thank you
Pros: Room very comfortable and roomy Bed especially comfortable
Cons: Restaurant was not great. Weren’t told until after we’d ordered that there were other food choices available. Food we got was ok but very expensive ( my wife had a small bowl of pesto flavoured pasta for approx £13!) Have stayed in other Novotel where there were self service buffet options, much better.
Cons: The staff were friendly and very helpful and spoke good English , but there simply were not enough of them. Example both evenings there were two bus loads of people - at least 80 people - staying to see the WWII battlefields plus perhaps 30 other guests. There were only two waiters for the bus parties and one poor chap who was waiting on the other guests and also manning the bar (for all 100+ guests). Also on reception, only one person - very helpful but there were a lot of people waiting with queries. Too much cost cutting.
Pros: The staff were particularly helpful in assisting with my little grandson’s needs. He has allergies and therefore there is a need for extreme vigilance. Owing to a car breakdown on their return journey I booked another room for them and the breakdown necessitated a further night’s stay. Throughout this time the staff immediately recognised my family and stepped forward to assist again - making a traumatic time less stressful. Many thanks to all - especially Sarah !
Pros: breakfast was excellent
Cons: Expensive, and the breakfast even more so.
Pros: Everything. Good position, good price, excellent owner
Cons: Having to shower over an uncurtained bath
Pros: The lady ! The owner she does everything! She is happy when your happy- very nice - like many European hotels small and quaint well worth it!
Cons: No complaints--- always a few stairs- lots of pubs near by- can get a little noisy - but it is fun!
Pros: Very clean, really friendly, nice and tasty breakfast at good price, public parking directly in front of the hotel
Cons: Somewhat old
Pros: Thé friendliness and cleanliness.
Pros: Staff was warm and welcoming. Facilities were ok. Location was great. Very small showers/bathroom.
Cons: Very small shower.
Pros: Value for money , good location just beside the station .
Cons: Small room
With a stay at Hotel Zenith Caen in Caen (Saint-Ouen), you'll be within a 15-minute walk of Caen Exhibition Centre and Zenith de Caen. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: nous avons apprécié l'accueil du personnel, prêts à nous renseigner et accéder à nos demandes
Pros: Place was spotless, in a nice area, beds were very comfortable, rooms were nice
Cons: No tea and coffee facilities in room, no air conditioning,
Pros: Currently being refurbished but didn't affect my stay. Great welcome, nice room, clean and quiet, the Pizza Bus across the street does great pizzas. Breakfast was good and location was prime for my meeting.
Pros: It was very close to the Zenith so we could easily and quickly walk to a concert.
Cons: The limited dining times - from 7pm in the evening so no chance of a hot drink or dining earlier. The lack of hotel staff at the desk in the early morning. The desk area was still all locked up at 6.45am so no-one was available to help with problems. The lack of availability of water or other drinks (tea & coffee).
Pros: Excellent value for money and location for visiting Caen, beaches and port. Ample free parking, which was great as we'd driven up from Spain. City centre was only a short simple drive away or a 20 min walk.
Pros: A good basic hotel, with friendly staff.
Cons: Room a bit cold for end of October.
Pros: Stayed one night to catch the ferry and evening meal was good. As the ferry was early unable to have breakfast.
Cons: Decided to stay two nights on return the following week, when I booked the two nights I was assured it would be the same reduced rate, foolishly I didn't get it in writing. I was put into a room that the TV didn't work and no soap dispite repeated requests. Not a good experiance!!
Pros: Good restaurant in hotel altho limited menu. Liked being able to have 2 interconnecting rooms for family. Staff all spoke excellent English and were very helpful. Convenient for ferry from Caen
Cons: Bit out of the way-a good 20 mind walk to town centre but near to Expo-Parc. Staff rather harrassed serving in restaurant and attending to reception but pleasant and helpful all the same.
Pros: Inexpensive. Good front staff. Service in restaurant was excellent , allowed us to make our concert easily.Food was good value, filling rather than gourmet but well cooked and presented. Wifi easy to access.
Cons: No exhaust fans in bathroom
Pros: the hotel was east to locate and had its own parling, yje rooms were reasonably comfortable and the family room consisted of 2 adjoining rooms. most of the front staff spoke english
Cons: service for the evening meel was very poor, the staff consisted of a young trainee waitress and the very overworked experienced waitress who was also the barmaid and receptionist. it took over 2 hours to gey a simple 3 course meal ( 2 courses were from buffets) after a number of complaints. our set off time meant leaving the hotel at 6.30 am and had to guess where to leave keys as no night porter.the bathrooms were tattty
Pros: A super base for visiting Caen - just a short walk from restaurants, bars and the castle. And only 25 minutes from the ferry.
Pros: Great location, decent breakfast, staff very welcoming. Room was good for French standards, very functional with daybed/couch and ample of space on the desk to work at. Shower room was clean and functional.
Cons: The walls are thin, so you hear your neighbour changing channels on his TV. Being at a great location means it is busy out, Singing students at night, ambulances, etc, are audible in the room. Which could be something to consider if you are a light sleeper.
Pros: The location suited our needs perfectly. Every thing else was ordinarily satisfactory
Cons: Communication was difficult for my wife and me. We have no French, and the owners here were less skillful in English than thoes in the more tourist oriented places we visited Nevertheless, we would make reservations here again.
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast, nice rooms, very clean. Perfect stay!
Cons: No parking.indifferent staff, extremely small rooms, no lift, we had to lose money and go elswere.
Pros: Room was fine, staff lovely. Bed comfy. Location is good as right in the city centre. Able to park for free right outside - so long as there is a space.
Cons: The ensuite wall ends short of the ceiling, hence you can hear and be heard - awful !
Pros: Location is convenient if you travel by car. The rest is just ok for one night stay.
Cons: Room had no hair drier. You have to ask for it separately.

Cons: Could do with better Pillows!
Pros: Staff very helpful, great location after getting off ferry, everything was clean and even had kettle with tea/coffee in room
Cons: Happy with everything- great value for money
Cons: From our window all you could see was a wall, very claustrophobic.
Pros: Excellent convenient location on ring road towards Normandy. Literally only 100m from junction. Superb overnight stop. Restaurant and bar closed on the Sunday we stayed but have eaten there before and excellent. McDonalds literally across the road. Also beside McDonalds is a super Chinese restaurant which does a wonderful eat all you want buffet for about 17 euro per person.
Cons: Nothing really. Very happy with the price and stay.
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Location very convenient.
Cons: Room was too small for the price. Could be cleaner.
With a stay at B&B Hôtel CAEN Sud in Ifs, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Caen Memorial and Garcelles Golf. Featured amenities include microwave in a common area and a vending machine. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The bed was big, firm and comfortable. The bread, croissants and scrambled eggs were very fresh.
Cons: The coffee was very disappointing - sitting in a thermos and completely tasteless. Perhaps they could install an automatic machine which makes fresh coffee from beans, as so many other similar hotels do?
Pros: .Nice room - the kids were very taken with the mezzanine level!
Cons: The staff were a bit slow in restocking items for breakfast. The breakfast room was very cramped. Also, I must have dropped my wallet somewhere and I never got it back - though I guess that could happen anywhere.
Pros: The help we were given when we forgot our door code.
Cons: Nowhere close by to eat on a Sunday night. Restaurant by hotel is closed on a Sunday.
Pros: The breakfast looked ok but I didnt book that. The location is in South of Caen which was fine but if I was going there again I would stay at Myhotel which is nearby and cheaper
Cons: I stayed alone but two "city taxes" were added to the agreed amount to pay, even though the booking price said included all taxes. Its only a couple of euros but the price of this room was already above neighbouring hotels
Pros: Price and location
Cons: Sound proofing of rooms was sub standard
Pros: Very clean and comfortable
Cons: Affordable and convenient
With a stay at My Hôtel in Ifs, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Caen Memorial and Garcelles Golf. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Typical adequate continental breakfast
Cons: Nothing it was as expected
Cons: The hotel was awful. Very noisy and intimidating. Awful location. We didn't feel safe leaving our car in the car park. No security gates or locked doors at night. Anyone could walk in and reception closes at 9pm. Didn't get any sleep at all. Mostly due to the noise from the room next door. Corridors smelled of food cooking. There was no shower in the room and the toilet smelled of sewage all night. The notice on the wall in the room saying there had been too many incidents of trouble so if there was any trouble from us money would be taken from our credit card did not make us feel very safe. We stayed with two young children and felt very vulnerable. I am appalled that booking.com even promotes this sort of hotel.
Cons: Room stank of smoke in a non-smoking hotel. Staff should have detected this when replacing sheets & cleaning.
Pros: Breakfast was fine, all u needed and fresh
Cons: Shower in room Tiny room Think someone had smoked in room
Pros: Possibly to wash clothes cheap.
Cons: Communal shower.
Cons: The staff were not helpful
Pros: 2 minutes walk from the bus stop to take you into Caen. A fantastic machine is in the entrance that will give you your key so there's no need to worry about a late check-in. Lovely quiet little hotel in an industrial estate from what I could tell, but I thought that that was fine. You get a simple room, I had a double bed with a telly, desk and an en-suite toilet and wash-hand basin which was perfect for me. I didn't have breakfast here so I can't comment on that. There were three showers on my floor that worked alright, they were push-button style to save water.
Cons: It was a bit out of the way, I walked into Caen on the first day and it was a fair old trek of 3 miles. At least the bus stop is nearby and the tickets aren't very expensive (€4 for 24-hour bus pass) so that's not too much of a problem. It would have been better if the cost of the room was a bit cheaper but from what I can tell that's the standard price around this area.
Pros: Very handy for the ferry from Caen. close to the motorway network. Easy PIN code check in for arrival out of hours
Cons: Very hot on the night we stayed. Shared showers on the landing outside the room.
