Pros: This is clearly the best place to stay in La Ventana. The architecture is stunning, the grounds lush and the location perfect - right on the beach.
Pros: The friendly staff provided me with toast, apple and tea when I was sick. The activities staff arranged a boat for us when we were too late to book the morning excursion. Beautiful buildings and decor, softest linen and comfortable bed.
Cons: Coffee machine in the room but no coffee, sugar or cream.
Pros: The hotel has a great location on the beach, rooms are comfy and nice. The people working at the hotel are really professional and friendly. The food is simple but great. We loved it and as French we are always picky about our food. We loved everything about our stay and we’ll come back !
Pros: The villas were wonderful for a romantic getaway! We called ahead to let them know that we were arriving late, and they accommodated us by having someone stay until we arrived. The villa was prepared for us and the "fireplace" was even lit with a candle. Our villa was secluded, had a king sized bed, a hammock, and a beautifully tiled shower. The beach was a short walk away. Breakfast was delicious and the honor bar well stocked. I can't say enough about how we were treated or the atmosphere that we enjoyed. would absolutely return here!
Pros: The bungalows was super cute, clean and comfy. The architecture throughout the entire resort was incredible. The breakfast and lunches were cooked from scratch. The beach facing the resort was completely empty for most of the time - it felt like it was totally ours. It felt like most people were there to kitesurf, which we didn't do, but we were very happy there relaxing and enjoying the cute bungalow and the ocean view.
Cons: The bar was just beers in a fridge that you can serve yourself, and the lunch menu, while very good, was just one thing. All of the places to eat in the area are cash only, and there's only one ATM in town that was broken for our entire stay, which made it difficult during the end to eat...not the resorts fault at all, but something to be aware of!
Pros: This place was immaculate and gorgeous, it would serve as a honeymoon spot. The architecture of the bungalows reminded me more of Santorini Greece..
Cons: The common areas were lovely but the place was so quiet it felt sort of abandoned. Our adult kids were in a hostel closer to town, and we met with them often for restaurants and music venues. This place is perfect for ultra quiet, but we were ready for a little more activity. The surrounding area is so friendly, you could catch a ride on the road back to the town. You would want to have a car when using this resort, as the walk to the town is really a bit too long to do at mealtimes. This resort only has specific mealtimes which can be confining on a short vacation.
When you stay at Villa Paraiso in La Ventana, you'll be on the beach, just steps from La Ventana Beach and 9 minutes by foot from La Ventana Campground. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Old beer cans scaterred around communal areas, no fly spray in the room. It may have been nice in the 70’s
Pros: Great view of the ocean.
Cons: Off season. Hotel restaurant was not open, which was not advertised. Also, no WiFi as advertised. Pools and jacuzzis were not open or clean. Hotel grounds generally needs more maintenance.
Pros: no breakfast. Location excellent, beatufiul view
Cons: The property needs a bit of TLC but the garden is very well maintained and the property is beautiful with amazing views.
Pros: View excellent. Room large and spacious and clean.
Cons: Bed hard like park bench. Hot tub in room terrace not woring. Didn't see a restaurant in hotel. Too many steps to room up and down (75 ? )
Pros: Location on the seaside. We rented the seaview villa. Fantastic seaview. This is the reason we rented this room. No obstructions.
Cons: We paid $2000 for 9 nights. It is way over priced not to say robery. The Hotel has an amazing potential but is not being exploited. First thing: description says english speaking staff. The two lovely staff members, a man and woman were very sweet but did not speek a single word of english. Before our arrival, I had sent a written question and never received a response. I received a useless response after my arrival. Our room: clean and bright, very simple furnishings but this is ok. Drinking water should be supplied with 18 liter bottles in the room. Daily room maintenance not consistent. Sometimes towels are changed, not always. One day, no maintenance was done. There are two patio doors to the room. One opens to nothing...no balcony, no railing, just drop down...do not fall out! There is a spa/tub on the balcony. But the hot water heater does not work, therefore useless. The hotel site is big and nicely spread out on different levels. There many different sitting areas and bars. BUT it is like a ghost town. None of these areas are in working order. It is like owners ran out of money and are doing the minimum. The onsite restaurant is closed! !! There was a International kite boarding event in La Ventana during our stay. Next door La Palapas hotel was part of the event. With it’s set up, Villa Paraiso should have been part of th event. I do not know what the story is on this place, what’s going on, but someone needs to get in there do some maintenance updates and some creative marketing to get this place alive and ticking! Huge potential, great location.
Pros: Incredible views, warm and welcoming service. Interesting architecture - rooms and various small pools and meeting places are built into the side of a small steep hill on the beach. Borrowed the kayaks to go out with two friends in the early morning.
Cons: Nothing not to like. Keep you expectations in check, as this is not a 5 star hotel, and you will be very happy staying at Villa Paraiso.
Pros: If you like peace and quiet, this is an excellent place for you! There are many places to go on the property that are perfect for relaxation and hanging out. It is on multiple levels that are set right on/above the beach, access down to a quiet beach. It looks to be an older resort/hotel, gorgeous views, working internet, hot water, kitchen. The rooms and facilities are nice, not modern fancy but very comfortable, great views. WElcoming and laid back. I will come back here when in the area
Pros: This resort is right on the beach and has the most stunning views of La Ventana Bay and the Sea of Cortez. There are four small pools, four different levels, and many relaxing areas to relax and just read a book. In the afternoon you can watch the Kite Boarders fly across the Bay. They offer accommodations from Honeymoon Suites to backpackers fold out sofas. You can bring food and share the kitchen, cook your freshly caught fish on a grill, or go out to one of the nearby restaurants. There are small refrigerators in the rooms. Cabrillo and Wahoo Rooms share a private patio. Loved this venue. Hope to return soon.
Cons: Wish that their restaurant was open. They do not respond to emails or inquiries. Google Translate is a helpful App to use here.

Pros: Great location and friendly staff. Plus some nice ‘extras’ includes such a as kayak and snorkeling gear
Cons: Had a great stay but I found the accommodation to be relatively pricy considering the fact that it was low season.
Pros: Great relaxing atmosphere.
Cons: Breakfast wasn't really included. Only cereal.
Cons: would have been nice if it was mentioned that my room had a shared bathroom.
Pros: Breakfast and food in general was great! Sitting outside overlooking the Sea of Cortez was fantastic.
Pros: The staff was great. Had a great evening playing trivia. (Play trivia at least once a month and this was the best trivia night ever). Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all very good.
Pros: I had a wonderful stay at Palapas Ventana. My casita was clean and comfortable and was a perfect place to relax in after a wonderful day out on the water. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful - providing suggestions and recommendations on everything from food to watersports to transfers to / from La Paz and Cabo. The property is large so there are lots of areas to relax in - the pool, the hammock, down by the water, one one of the many terraces... A fantastic holiday destination.
