Top tips for finding Lancaster hotel deals

  • If you’re looking for a cheap hotel in Lancaster, you should consider visiting during the low season. You'll find cheaper accommodations in Lancaster in February and October.
  • Hotel room prices vary depending on many factors but you’ll most likely find the best hotel deals in Lancaster if you stay on a Saturday. The opposite is true for, Friday, which is usually the most expensive day.
  • The cheapest 3-star hotel room in Lancaster found on KAYAK in the last 2 weeks was £49, while the most expensive was £170.
  • How long should you stay? KAYAK users usually book their accommodation in Lancaster for 3 days.
  • Staying just outside the city of Lancaster can save you money on your hotel booking. For example, if you booked a stay at Lancaster University, you would save money compared to hotels in the city centre but also be only about a 10min drive away.
  • If you want to take a step back in time while in Lancaster, why not stay close to some history, such as the 19th-century cathedral. You could, for example, stay at The Royal Hotel and Bar, which is only around a 5min walk from Lancaster Cathedral.
  • You should look to book a hotel with free Wi-Fi if you need to work while you’re on holiday, or if you want to stream your favourite TV series. A hotel which provides its guests with free internet access is The Borough Lancaster.
  • Look for a hotel which provides free parking with each booking, so that you can park close to where you are staying. This is also great if you want to save money on parking fees while you are away. An example of a hotel which provides complimentary parking is Quite Simply French.
  • If you need to be close to the ferry port for a journey to the Isle of Man, you might want to stay in a hotel which is only a short journey away from the departure terminal. An example of a hotel which is only an 11min walk away is The Port House.

PROS: Breakfast poor, but was during COVIDCONS: AC working, dont Furlough staff and try and run your hotel on the cheap. Just because essential workers have no choice does not mean you should treat them any different. Very poor, no ac and staff whilst excellent could not cope.
