Comfy bad. Hot shower. Friendly staff.
They need to check rooms when cleaning. I found a shirt in the wardrobe and empty whiskey bottle on the top of it.
I visited to attend a conference at DMU and found the hotel ideal for an overnight stay, easy to get to from the M1, plenty of parking space and a pleasant walk to DMU. On a bitterly cold night having very warm rooms was very welcoming.
Room pretty dated, although good value at the price we paid it is definately a budget hotel
I have stayed at Stoneycroft Hotel many times over last 5 years and have always received excellent value for money
I liked how there was always a selection of teas, hot chocolate, and coffee in my room and the breakfast was lovely every morning as well.
The bedroom was cold
Friendly management...helped me with telephone call. Breakfasts!!
Outside appearance and car park only
The room was the smallest room - room 25 - despite indicating I had a 4 year child - not offered bedding or asked about my son - nothing - chairs had torn clothing - old - radio on top of the bed outdated and old, some knobs missing - no user manual, could not even set the alarm - the blanket was dirty - requested another blanket at reception and given a tiny little blanket which had holes or was torn - remote control had no back cover for battries and was not working - phone had no instruction and I had to guess that 0 or 9 would get me to the reception - I moved to ibis hotel - £58 - and the following morning
Comfortable bed. Small but quiet room.
No choice of brown or wholemeal toast at breakfast -- only white.
The room kettle facilities were good and especially liked the long bath. Breakfast was good.
The restaurant was closed for dinner, so had to look elsewhere. The decor was orange & brown, could have been brighter. Inside looked old fashioned. Sheets & blankets on the bed, would have preferred a duvet. Promise of newspapers was only a local one, expected a National paper.
Breakfast was very good. So was the bathroom facility.
I felt the room was a little "tatty", the radio did not work and was falling apart and the temperature was difficult to regulate.
