10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The idea of the self help breakfast was great, but I overslept in the comfy bed and did not have time to cook from the range of eggs, toast and drinks. Fab idea. The place was intriguing, as part of a live car parts business, a real must for anyone with an interest in sports cars. The smell in the part area took me back to being 6 or 7 working with my dad!. The cleanliness of all of the individually decorated rooms was incredible! So much effort gone in to everything...and a lovely touch of some toffees and biscuits to have with a night time coffee!
Cons: Nothing really! Seriously!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very unique and very interesting, the kitchen/ diner beautifully added a trip back in time. The whole accommodation spotless.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
7.0 Good
Pros: Self service
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Funky b&b with "help yourself" American style diner, Morgan garage downstairs. Room cozy but very nice, proper shower and comfortable mattress and pillows.
Cons: Room was a bit on a smaller side, ok for 1 would have been tight for 2
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a great idea, anyone liking cars it’s a must. The room was decorated to a high standard and was spotlessly clean, the American Diner style kitchen was fantastic with everything you need for a great breakfast. The owner was very friendly and gave us a tour to explain everything. We will definitely be back.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole place is beautifully created with attention to detail everywhere and a warm and informative welcome on arrival from the owner, Melvyn. Will definitely be staying here again and recommending to family and friends. Advice on local eateries was spot on and honest and being able to stay late the next morning, to watch the England rugby semi final was the icing on the cake.
Cons: There were no areas of the stay that we didn't like. Our stay was faultless.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Splendid! Splendid! Splendid! This is the most fascinating place to stay at! If you love beautiful surroundings, comfort, extraordinary attention to detail in everything and fabulous cars then this is the place for you! Would my husband and I stay here again? Like a shot we would! Thank you Pit-Stop!
Cons: Absolutely no complaints!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Melvyn greeted me and spent time showing me around - it is fantastic!. We loved the 'diner' based on Ace Cafe - loved the details, great that we could help ourselves to breakfast - loved the flexibility - the fact we could bring our own food and cook. We loved looking around the cars. We will be back to try out another room and hire a car for the day. It was perfect!
Cons: There is nothing we didn't like about our stay - we had the place to ourselves (which was perfect) but wondered how it might have worked out if it had been full.

Cons: Lack of Digital TV (Free View) and Wireless broadband
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything at the Pit Stop. Good, off street parking. Very good hosts. Excellent accommodation and very good Breakfast food. The Pit Stop deserves to be included in anyone's holiday itinerary. It is more than a B&B and it is of a very high standard. The American DIner is wonderful and don't let the self service breakfast put you off from staying here Melvyn and Sindy have everything you need in their diner to feed hungry guests. Not only do you get to stay in luxury accommodation for a reasonable cost you also get to look around the beautiful cars stored there. The Pit Stop B&B is near enough London and next to Standsted Airport. Car enthusiasts should make sure to stay here and even if you do not have a passion for cars, like my w

Pros: The generous size of the room. The theme/decor was fantastic. The justly proud, friendly and casual yet reassuring style of the management was welcoming. Pros: Everything apart from the barman Aaron - who, if he doesn't improve his current attitude, will probably not be working there much longer.
Cons: Superb hotel, fantastic staff, exceptional location - and would have been one of my favourite future destinations, if it wasn't for the young, immature, mouthy Barman Aaron. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was amazing and Mike’s hosting impeccable. The bedroom was so lovely and comforting, huge bed, lovely shower and toilet facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large room. Organised early morning taxi.
4.2 Okay
Pros: It was dirty, towels were old and they charged me twice. I still haven’t received a refund
6.7 Good
Pros: The quietness, the exterior of the house and garden, the feeling of home, the kindness of the hosts.
Cons: After checking out, I have realized that I booked a quadruple room and we received a triple one (we were three people but it was supposed to be a quadruple room). It should have been a double bed with two single beds according to the description in booking.com and we were accomodated in a room with 3 single beds. Neither the photos of the specific room in the webpage coincided with the reality. Also, the bathroom in this case, although it was for private use, it was not inside the bedroom so it was not very comfortable to get out of the room to use it. This should be specified in the description. Finally, I think the fruit in the breakfast was scarce, it was already served for one person and it was not added when we sat for breakfast and we were 3 people more.

Pros: Large clean room and bathroom. Beautiful grounds. Our room had French doors looking out at a lovely green space. The restaurant was very nice. The food and service were both excellent. My husband had a huge, beautifully cooked, hamburger. Breakfast was very good as well. We were on our way out of the country and it was a relaxing break in traveling. All the staff was friendly and helpful. would stay again!
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The pictures are not representative of what this place is really about. It is very run down and not in a desirable location. This is not even as nice as a average motel in most places.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The scrambled egg was tasty. The evening meal was tasty
Cons: Upon arrival it would have been nice to have had a welcome smile and greeting. There was a distinct feeling of lack of atmosphere- some gentle background music would have helped to create ambience. I followed sign to the bar which was an empty room with only tables and chairs, no bar, it was only when I strolled to restaurant that I found a bar in there. Again, no music, a big room with few people in, very quiet and did not feel comfortable or welcoming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastically helpful. After being disturbed in the early hours by a large group of guests checking in i left my room to investigate and ask them to keep it down but my keycard failed to let me back in. A call was not possible to reception as the line was down so i was less than amused to have to run across the court yard and country lane to get to the main building barefoot and pregnant to get another card but the night porter was fantastic and the lady at the reception desk was an absolute legend at putting everything right for me the following morning so i could enjoy a superb breakfast and start my day as intended. Thank you, i will be back

Pros: I stayed in a room across the road from the main hotel, in an annex converted house. The décor was modern and the bed very comfortable. Parking was free and ample spaces available. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Though I didn't have breakfast, it did look very good (I'm dieting!) and appetising...
Cons: The only downside was the poor wifi signal in my room. Also be aware that it's very near the airport so expect early morning noise (ear plugs are provided). This is not a criticism, just a fact....
4.7 Okay
Pros: Close and easy to get to the airport. Decent modern bedroom which was comfortable.
Cons: Bar/restaurant was all one which is not condusive to good atmosphere. Drinks very expensive. Room was double booked which was very annoying.
5.7 Okay
Pros: distance to Stanstead airport
5.0 Okay
Pros: Had a nice feel to it, the rooms were comfortable and modern
Cons: Wooden floors were quite noisy and it is close to Stansted airport. I didn't hear the planes at night but if you are a light sleeper....
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet hotel and excellent customer service - very comfortable rooms.
Cons: There was no internet access/wifii and network coverage was poor for mobile phones.
6.0 Good
Pros: good sized bedrooms clean and comfortable
Cons: a problem with reception staff, asked to book a taxi to the airport on our arrival and then at 7.15am on the morning, I had to ask when the taxi did not arrive and the rsponse was 'I forgot' this resulted is us being 45 minutes late to meet the group
8.0 Excellent
Pros: the rooms were brand new which was lovely and teh resturant was beautiful
Cons: The hotel is currently being reburbished therefore there are work men around and heavy machinery. Not as quiet as you may like either due to this but due to the price we paid we were happy enough as the rooms were lovely and we were just sating for a wedding that evening away from the hotel . If I had paid full price as per their tarrif I think I would have been a little upset though!
7.6 Good
Pros: The location was beautiful, the room was lovely, the bathroom was luxurious, the staff were friendly and noted our comments on departure. Would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Unfortunately under Stanstead flight path but we knew that. Air con not yet working in newly developed room so room was hot and opening door meant airplane noise was pretty loud, but these things would not prevent us staying there again. Few little improvements needed - no where to hang wet towels but they know this and will change. The 'great' far outweighed the 'development needs'.
6.8 Good
Pros: Staff and food and decor
Cons: I asked for a quiet room and was not then told hotel was on flight path
6.5 Good
Pros: Friendly service. Very good food and wine
Cons: aircraft noise from stansted, hotel was unfinished, prices were on the stiff side.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a fantastic stay, the food was service was 1st class, the room was 1st class, the staff were 1st class, it was more like staying on a cruise liner than a hotel,

Pros: Excellent customer service, close to airport, comfortable beds
Cons: My room smelt of cigarettes even though it was a no smoking family room.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Man on counter was very nice in the morning.
Cons: Terrible place. Corridor and room stunk. Noisy air conditioning. Very noisy outside and they did move our room, but still noisy. It also said it was 3min drive from airport. It is about 10 to 15mins and a £17 taxi ride. Very misleading. I would pay more and stay right at the airport.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and clean
Cons: No shuttle pickup from airport
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable. Wifi worked well. Variety of freeview tv channels offered.
Cons: The service area was poorly lit and badly signposted so it took several goes to arrive at the car park by the hotel. The first room offered hadn't been cleaned. The walls are thin. The breakfast was ok but shouldn't be called the full English without eggs on offer. Nothing better on offer in the service area. We stayed 2 nights. We were locked out on our return on evening 2. When we had our key updated and got into the room, we found our bed had not been made up properly.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient, good breakfast, free parking, friendly helpful staff. I have stayed here before and it's a great place to stay overnight after a late flight. The bed is really comfortable, the tea making facilities very welcome! Thank you.
Cons: No eggs at breakfast. Strange smell in the bedroom. Hairs down the plughole in the sink.
7.0 Good
Pros: The food was nice well presented. Room was quiet in the evening.
Cons: Even though I didn't complain, it was lucky I had my own charger as neither the USB sockets worked in the hotel room and as I was having a lie in due to a long day ahead the room cleaners were very noisy in the morning talking outside in the corridor.

Pros: It was convenient to the M11 and easy to find. The room was spacious and had everything I needed. Only issue I had was having to leave the room for the bathroom.. not so easy in the middle of the night. Carol, the proprietor was lovely, friendly and attentive. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful.
Cons: Nothing particularly.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing really
Cons: It is listed as a 3 star hotel, at the price of proper hotels in the airport. However, it is a room in a family house, very small, without proper shower even. Extremely disappointed, I am contacting the booking staff to get my money back.
