Pros: Very characterful
Cons: Fire alarm at 4.50am
7.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The change in parking, only two hours! Not the properties fault but very inconvenient..
6.0 Good
Pros: Room and clean and bright, bathroom recently done so nice.
Cons: Breakfast if you could call it that was very poor. There was little or nothing there when we came down, the lady told us to help ourselves to coffee etc and then left. A large group of people had just left, and she did not bother to check if anything needed replenishing. There was no milk, juice, fruit, or boiled eggs leaving us with just dry cereal, yoghurt and toast. The lady could not be found and after 15 minutes she emerged and we asked her to replenish. She topped up milk and fruit but we had to ask for eggs which she then took another 10/15 minutes to cook and even when we did get them they were undercooked. We were led to believe by previous reviews that the breakfast was really good but what we had was definitely not worth £11 each
7.0 Good
Pros: Close to the harbour. Lovely views.
Cons: The bed (mattress) in the room wasn’t very comfortable. The ventilation in the bathroom went on for 45 minutes every time we switched the light on. The noise was disturbing during the night.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: clean and modern room with a great view
Cons: ran out of milk on the first day as only enough for 2 cups each and we were up 2 flights of stairs so didn't bother to ask for more!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location with a great view across the harbour. Lovely well presented breakfast. Cosy lounges with log fires.
Cons: Nothing really. It is quite exposed so gets weather full on when windy.

5.0 Okay
Pros: It was a pretty basic hotel, clean and bed was comfortable. Staff were exceptionally helpful due to me getting caught up on the M20 in a huge accident and not checking in until 11pm, I can't fault them on that.
Cons: Parking is a huge issue, had to drive around for 30 mins looking for a space then park 3/4 mile away and walk in with all my luggage at midnight. The bathroom was totally ridiculous, not even as big as a shoe cupboard and impossible to even turn around in.

Cons: We have stayed in this hotel previously and had an excellent meal in the restaurant. We chose to eat from the bar menu on this occasion and one of our meals was not up to the standard we would have expected but possibly down to personal taste.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location on the cliff overlooking the sea. Very comfortable room. Excellent service and great food in the bar and restaurant, very good breakfast. Helpful friendly staff. This is our third stay and we really enjoy spending our evening in the bar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastic. Any issue was sorted out promptly with a smile which is very good business and keeps us very happy . The breakfast was very tasty indeed and food and drink in the evening also very good . I would highly recommend a stay here .
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was nice location, nice enough facilities and the bar and dinner menu were great.
Cons: *It was not obvious in the booking system that you had to let the hotel know about a dog ahead of time. And the manager was incredibly rude about it - also not letting us in the nice breakfast room. *I paid for the view (room and breakfast room) and couldn't see either. *The price is *not* worth it - I wouldn't have minded the cramped room if we could have used the (warm) breakfast room and dining area but suddenly because we have a dog (and provided (quote) "feedback for the hotel", didn't have a go, feedback for them), management treated us like second rate citizens. Shocking and I hope they review as it's a good location for dog walkers.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Staff seem nice, it’s a nice clean hotel with good food, nice friendly atmosphere and beautiful beach.
Cons: The only problem with my stay is that I forgot my iPhone charger and cable in the room. I called reception the following day and they where trying to help but didn’t really seem they have an actual procedure in place for lost items. And Is not like the charger was hidden under the bed. I forgot it in the most visible socket, plugged in instead of the tv power socket. Even if they haven’t seen it which I doubt it, all they had to do is send someone in the room to get it. Instead, What i got was “housekeeper that cleaned your room is not in today”. Considering the hotel is not exactly cheap at mere £100 a single room per night it’s quite disappointing to see they lack the integrity to find an expensive item and not return it back to their customer. The irony is that i left some tip for the housekeeper in the room but obviously that wasn’t enough to return my charger. Unfortunately although i had a good time i can never stay there again as the breach of trust cannot be bought back.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean & friendly
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: To many dogs

8.8 Excellent
Pros: It’s a period seaside hotel, if you want spanking new and shiny....this ain’t that. BUT if you want a classic coast resort hotel at a great price with sea views and good staff......this is exactly that!
Cons: It’s fine......it’s at worst a tiny bit tired but I’m fussy and I was happy to stay there and go back
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A good location for leisure or business stays.
7.0 Good
Pros: The price! Had all necessities, clean, good Location
Cons: Steps to front entrance, exiting felt may fall.
7.0 Good
Pros: The accommodation that I used was totally acceptable and met my needs for the purpose of my stay in Margate. I think that next time that I do go there I might choose a double room. Single beds are too small and if you're not used to them then can be uncomfortable.
Cons: To be quite honest there is nothing that I would change. As I said previously it suited me for the purpose of my stay in Margate. And YES I would use the hotel again.
4.6 Okay
Cons: Where do I start. The hotel is nothing like the pictures. Very disappointed would not recommend it actually felt like going find somewhere else. We arrived at 2.30 and staff was welcome but when going to our room noticed a dirty plate and cutlery outside someone’s room the following morning about 10.30 it was still sitting there. Very dated room. Window didn’t shut properly so had wind coming through bedroom all night. Plug in shower broken so had to be careful not to hurt foot as stood in there. Actually felt like needed to shower again when got home. Won’t be staying here again.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice hotel location is great will stay again
7.0 Good
Pros: Location and the restaurant and foyer welcoming
Cons: No tons for guests to use for pastries at breakfast buffet I saw a guest touch 3 croissants before taking a different one surely it’s even more important for tongs and signs to ask guests to use them. Bacon I think had been microwaved to warm up was like leather. I hope I will get the room I cancelled refunded either by the hotel or booking.com at the moment I have been told that the Hotel hasn’t been paid by booking.com yet. I paid by credit card bill 3 weeks ago.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, good breakfast, staff lovely.
Cons: A high pitch humming noise was coming from the bathroom about 3AM keep me awake for 30 mins and then it stopped, no idea what was causing it.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was beautiful and the restaurant and staff were great
Cons: The hotel is so tired especially the room we had on the top floor room 41, the toilet seat was lose and the boiler had broken so no hot water for a shower, the bed was very hard. The corridors could all do with a paint and freshen up and new carpets.

Pros: Everything
4.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfasts were OK (see below). The wood fires were nice. Our room was warm and clean (see below). Hard-working Alexandra looked after us very well, including dealing with my wife's need to keep medication in the fridge. Very quiet country location (see below)
Cons: Overall a feeling of guests being treated rather casually. No tomatoes, mushrooms & yogurt (only one type of yogurt) for one breakfast. Radiators not always on in the dining room. Drinks at the bar had to be paid for immediately rather than put on the bill. Wine list only listed 250ml and bottles, although in fact smaller glasses could be ordered. Not sure why we were put in a room between two that were being refurbished, so there was some noise from that work. Would not describe room as "deluxe". Ground floor, with no security lock on the window. No emergency instructions as is standard practice in hotels and phone link with reception which was some minutes uncovered walk away. The bathroom was a good size but the shower had no grab handle or shelf for soap and shampoo. The room was poorly insulated noise wise. Access to the hotel was via a narrow, single track muddy road.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming staff, comfortable room, clean toilet
