Despite being a big-name hotel brand, I love the Canvas Moncton Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The property is considered one of the best hotels in Moncton thanks to the fact it’s very artfully curated. Here you’ll find unique and somewhat whimsical decor and amenities that feel much more like a boutique hotel.

The on-site restaurant, Bar 55, is a great option if you don’t feel like wandering too far after checking in. It offers local craft beers as well as classic and creative bar snacks (be sure to try the pesto melt panini).

I also love that this property has such massive windows in the guestrooms and suites, offering floor-to-ceiling views of the Moncton skyline below. Most rooms have a balcony—perfect for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine.

I’ll admit that the Chateau Moncton, Trademark Collection by Wyndham looks a teeny bit cheesy when you first pull up to the hotel. The faux-castle facade is a little dated, but it’s well worth looking past the first impression and giving this property a fair go.

The classic property is considered one of the best hotels in Moncton thanks to its excellent hospitality and stunning location on the banks of the Petitcodiac River (and its famous tidal bore). Ask for a room facing south if possible, so you can take advantage of the stunning natural splendour of the river below.

I checked into the Four Points by Sheraton Moncton when I was travelling with family members and really appreciated the unique layout of the guestrooms. This made it very comfortable to share a single room with multiple people, as the living room (with a pull-out bed) and bedroom are separated by a door.

It was easy for multiple couples or family members to sleep well without having to book a second room, making this one of the best hotels in Moncton for families.

The Four Points isn’t in the centre of town, so it’s not as convenient for those travelling on foot, but if you have a car you’ll appreciate the ample parking spaces and quiet residential area. It’s also worth noting there’s an on-site restaurant, Sophia & Spritz (try the seafood lasagne).

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Moncton is another one of those hotels that’s more convenient for families and drivers than it is for folks hoping to explore on foot. The property isn’t exactly in the city centre, but it offers a quiet environment that’s very conducive to getting a good night’s sleep. It can be a great place to stop and rest during a road trip or while travelling with little ones.

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Moncton is one of the best hotels in Moncton if you’re looking for a good price-to-quality ratio. It’s very well-rated thanks to its great hospitality, clean rooms, and excellent amenities, including a heated indoor pool, a gym, and free breakfast (sometimes you’ll even find free popcorn in the lobby too).

The Crowne Plaza Moncton Downtown is conveniently located right on Main Street, just steps away from the Via Rail train station and the finest restaurants in the city. This is one of the best hotels in Moncton if you’re planning a cross-country train trip or stopping in Moncton overnight on your way to Montreal or Halifax.

The best thing about the Crowne Plaza is its staff. The hotel has a reputation with locals and visitors alike for going above and beyond with everyone who checks in, whether it’s for a one-night stay or a staycation.

You can expect handwritten notes in the room, candy and toys for little guests, and various other little extras and surprises that you might not expect from a bigger-name hotel chain.

If you prefer a boutique hotel over a bigger brand, then the Capitol Robinson by Bower Boutique Hotels should be high on your list. One of the best hotels in Moncton, the guestrooms and suites vary greatly, from traditional hotel rooms to ones that are more like small apartments with full kitchens.

The hotel has just 12 guestrooms, which makes it feel very intimate and cozy, and a convenient self-service check-in—a great option if you end up getting into the city late.

The Capitol Robinson is conveniently located right next to major attractions like the Capitol Theatre, the Moncton Farmers Market, and bustling Main Street. It’s worth noting that there’s also parking on-site for an additional fee (more than worth it to avoid street parking overnight).

It’s also very close to Riverfront Park and the Moncton Via Rail station, while still close enough to Main Street that you won’t have to worry about driving or taking a taxi into town.

During my stay, I also really liked the spacious on-site gym, which is well-equipped for cardio and strength. There’s also on-site parking available, but it comes at an extra fee per night (though it’s still much less expensive and more secure than parking on the street overnight).

Station 1 by Terra Trust Hospitality is one of the most unique hotels in Moncton for those looking for a cool and boutique hotel experience.

The hotel is located within a former fire station building, which makes each of the nine guestrooms and suites totally unique in architecture and style. The modern design was conceptualized to include a large bedroom, living area, separate dining area, and a designated workspace in each room.

Station 1 isn’t located right in the city centre, but instead a bit further north, just off Morton Street. This allows you to explore another Moncton neighbourhood that’s usually reserved for locals. Be sure to check out Indish if you’re in the mood for Indian food before heading to Igloo Beverage Room to catch a live show.

Rodd Moncton is considered one of the best hotels in Moncton for folks looking for a charming kid-friendly getaway. The property is located right on the Petitcodiac River, great for those looking to visit the tidal bore. It’s also equipped with a generously sized outdoor pool (complete with plenty of pool toys and lounge chairs) and guestrooms with bunk beds for little ones.

The hotel is well-loved by locals and visitors thanks to its unique packages, which can sometimes include movie night deals with free pizza and movie passes. The Rodd Moncton offers long-term parking too, so if you have an onward flight, the hotel can mind your car for the duration of your trip for an additional fee.
