Pros (+) Beautiful historic building with a cozy lobby sat around a multi sided fireplace
Cons (-) What was undoubtedly once a jewel amongst grand Canadian hotel has been largely left to detiorate. Little has been done to maintain the premises and ugly, tacky features have been added with little thought given to the design aesthetic of the original hotel. Staff levels have obviously been cut way back and the quality of service is sub par for a hotel at this price point.

Leigh, Aug 2017
Pros (+) 1) Great staff, very helpful and friendly 2) Extremely comfortable bedding 3) Interesting and unique round-log structure
Cons (-) 1) The cost exceeds value by approx. 25% 2) There is a 'nickel 'n dime' attitude to everything. They are there to take your money. 3) Despite being promoted as 5*, the facilities are 'tired' (cracked washbasin, holes in carpets, garbage in public area etc)
