the staff was very helpfully, the coffee and pj sandwiches was a nice addition. the roof top pool was nice. it was also heated.
the hot tub wasn't working
To be honest I was very disappointed in this stay. I was a returning guest and had high expectations which were not met. However, upon check out I met Peter and he did everything right to rectify the situation. His level of customer service won me as a returning guest.
Friendly staff, easy check in and close enough to walk to everything!
Small bathroom but not really a big deal
I liked the historic quality of the rooms, and the quiet of the rooms as well. I also appreciated the coffee-maker for the room.
The entire experience was delightful. From pulling up to a beautifully lit, opulent exterior, to the comfortable, old world feel of the room. A historical hotel with modern touches and great, friendly service.
A drink at the bar was $20.
Hotel has a very good central dining room. Staff are courteous and professional. The choice of food although limited, quality is good. The 10-11 pm snacks stuff is very nice. The lounge are very clean, well maintained and give a very good ambiance. Cleanliness of the property is good and that is very nice.
The hotel is quite overpriced. The room (415) has very dim lights, window curtains are difficult to open which gives a feeling of evening all the time. Natural light coming in the room is less. The TV is kept in a cupboard/almera in such a way that you can watch it only from one bed as the doors of cupboard block your view from anywhere else in the room. They should use a simple nice tv stand rather and move the minibar to a corner.
They lost our reservation and in response put us in the Presidential Suite, that was amazing. Service and staff were just wonderful. Also liked the tradition of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every evening at 10 PM.
Well they did lose our reservation. Parking prices were too high.
we spent a great anniversary at this very romantic luxury hotel and paid a reasonable price for it.
Very friendly staff. Very helpful conciere/front desk. Nice pool area. Good location for St. Charles trolly/warehouse/near F. Q. would definitly return except for the one complaint lodged below. Thank you for helping us to have a great first visit to nola
The maid service every morning entailed many doors being open and shut in the am. Although they were not slamming them, it was quit loud and not conducive to sleeping in, especially when waking the nearby infant. Maybe a later start time or easing the doors shut.
The hotel lobby was very elaborately decorated and the rooms were clean and attractive. It was only about four blocks from the area where we spent most of our time and we were able to walk there easily.
After about 10:00 at night, the walk to the hotel room was rather desolate and we were a little uncertain about our safety.
a very opulent setting with beautiful appointments and decor. the atmosphere was calming and luxurious
Bathroom was a little cramped
the hotel was first class, very friendly staff and the rooms are excellent - very spacious and immaculate
bar prices are on the high side
Cozy and comfortable, the cookie is great
Location is not next to Franch Court as Web posted, it has a distance of few blocks away.
