The setting was beautiful, the grounds immaculate and the hotel was very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful .The room was very well fitted and comfortable and the breakfasts were plentiful and varied.
Beautiful landscape, very well maineted building, rooms and facilities, very nice staff
The hotel is in a quiet location with no noisy neighbours. The staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke good English. The room was very clean, spacious and more like a small suite with the separate lounge area converted to a bedroom for our 12year old who was sharing with us. The dinner menu was interesting, varied and the food excellent except for the unripe nectarines which were served as the "fruit" choice on two nights. Liked the shaded car parking and the outdoor pool.
The hotel is very well decorated, confortable and clean. The sorroundings are very peaceful and yet it's close to several nice and interesting places. In the rooms you can find suggestions about what to explore in the area.
Very good and pleasant accomodation and very nice welcome.
friendly family atmospere. nothing was too much trouble. food was excellent and there were three communal areas to relax in. we could not find fault in this hotel.
Superb family run hotel, quiet and very relaxing. nothing
1. the staff: Ronald, Susanna, Aurea, greeted us kindly and with interest in what we did;they gave personal attention at all times: the room staff kept the hotel meticulously clean: the waitors, Oscar was friendly and attentive but not pushy but the star of the whole show was Noemi who was kindness embodied and very very nice. The garden was pleasant. We wanted an out of town hotel which was quiet and this was. Our room was a suite, comfortable and large with a lovely logia overlooking the garden. It doesn't fit in tomany of your categories. It was lovely. Everything was delightful
Spacious, high quality building. Nice carpets. Diffident receptionist.
The staff were most helpful. Very relaxed atmosphere. lovely surroundings. I would have preferred a more varied evening menu on the 'a la carte'
Staff was very helpful It did not have the sea view room as the pictures shown
Cleanliness Size of rooms friendliness of bar/restaurant staff Hotel situated on very busy main road Food boring with limited choice Noise echoed quite badly
New hotel - large rooms - nice breakfast Close to a noisy road - no beach or sea access - ground not well maintained
Very well presented hotel. Spacious room. Nice public areas Location is bit out of the way. Not recommended for anyone without a car.
The room and view Need extractor fan in Bathroom as windows cant be open in bad weather
We were really disappointed by the fact that the hotel was billed on your website as being"200 yards" from the city centre when in fact it was 2 kilometres from the town centre. It was on the spur of a dual carriageway, in the middle of nowhere, which made it impossible to do anything except drive. For a hotel billed as being 4-star, there wasn't even an information pack inside the room about the services the hotel offered. In order to get to the outside swimming pool it was necessary to walk through the reception and out of the front door. The quality of the bathroom toiletries was poor too.
The position overlooking the estuary, and the breakfast buffet Not enough variation with the dinner menu.
situation was terriific
Location and good service.
Friendly & attentive staff , excellent location for the town of O Grove & La Toja . Ample breakfast . Very clean & modern . Thoroughly recommended . Would stay again !!
Exceptionally friendly & helpful staff. Good breakfast. A short walk to a range of excellent restaraunts.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Food smell on the rooms corridor.
Situation, sightseen, staff, services
Wifi. Nice rooms. Well-located.
Good room and location. Staff seemed inexperienced and nervous which made us feel uncomfortable. No evening/lunchtime restaurant.
This is a very nice place to stay; the location is beautiful facing La Toja and at a walking disstance to the nice restaurants. We only stayed one night but we intend to repeat . The staff is very nice and helpful. No
clean hotel. friendly staff
only the location small lift - had to carry cases two flights of stairs to top floor - asked for balcony when booking but not given - sigle room very small - breakfast inadequate - charge for car park - credit card machine not working so had to pay cash
The location, it is close to the beaches and restaurants No outside space or swimming pool and no balcony in our room which was a superior room and cost more than standard rooms
The hotel in general, as it's staff.
Friendly, helpful staff Rooms are relatively small
It's close to the beach. There is a pool for those who can't enter the ocean (which is too cold in August). The place on the map is incorrect. Hotel stands right on the noisy road. The way to the beach is dangerous because of cars.
Service, food, facilities
gardens, clean hotel no kettles in room, no english tea, breakfast not included and this was not highlighted.
When I first arrived I didn’t like the look of it because I thought I was in the middle of nowhere. But it is just a short walk from a great beach. And a 10 minute drive away from a massive beach. O’Grove was especially nice and the fish is to die for. The island of Toxa is worth a visit and you can go into the posh old Hotel for a coffee. No
Beautiful gardens and pool area. A liitle remote.
Well presented, beautiful gardens, very quiet - but then there was almost no one else there! There was never anyone on reception and passports and ID cards clearly left lying about. When we tried to check out I hunted around for 20 minutes and could find no staff - nearly missed our deadline to return car in Santiago.
Beautiful renovated medieval building. Excellent location on the waterfront. Excellent breakfast, especially the fresh fruit. Some minor weak points: irritating generic classical muzak in the restaurant. No coffee/tea making facilities in the room and no room service before 8am.
THe facility needed some updating. It was near the town center - great in the day, but a booming concert at night made the walls shake and sleep difficult.
we really liked the location,so easy to town, restaurants, board walk and bus station.the parador is very nice and warm and not too austere like some we have visited. when i asked one desk employee for a dinner recommendation ,she snipped "the parador" and then when i politely responded that we would like to walk and dine outside the hotel she sort of rattled off a few places but very quickly and with disinterest as if they were all the same and not worth her time.Made the parador seem desperate for business and was a very stuffy attitude to display to a guest.Another younger girl was quite helpful earlier in telling us interesting port towns close by that we could visit. So I would chalk the dinner incident up to the individual and not the general attitude of the other employees.
Attentive staff, large comfortable room, interesting local based menu. An excellent touring area; would definitely return.
The buffet breakfast which was included with the room rate. Also, the terrace with water fountain where there was beverage service was most pleasant. The rooms were large. The carpeting in the hallway and stairway needs to be cleaned or replaced.
the staff were very helpful. We needed to leave early in the morning and they were sweet enough to make us some coffee and give us a selection of breads. The sea view is also beautiful. The double bed is very small and very uncomfortable. It was also quite cold in the room.
A great traditional family hotel with a very good restaurant Although Cambados is a lovely village the immediate area of the hotel is a little run down, but this does not really detract from the place.
The hotel is only a short walk to the city center. It has beautiful gardens and ample parking. The staff are helpful. It is a beautiful hotel but the plumbing was very noisy and there was a lot of noise emanating from the corridor. The opening and closing of doors made a lot of noise..
Once again a lovely stay in a great hotel.
Lovely hotel with an excellent covered swimming pool. Rooms were beautiful
nice bright rooms in pleasant and extensive grounds. an easy 10 minute (max) walk into Cambados for bars, restaurants etc. relaxed and friendly
The quality-price ratio is excellent. Excellent environment, rooms and food
Location ambiance No description of facilities or hours of availability in rooms. In fact no information at all provided in rooms.
Very nice hotel in attractive building and grounds. Out of the centre of town, but can walk in along estuary. Excellent room. Very good value.
The ambiance, peace and treatment of the staff. Everything was great.
It's a confortable and clean hotel, with a familiar style.
Centrally located. Bed was new. My bedroom had no window - the window was in the bathroom. Staff were not particularly friendly. Breakfast was awful and I ate elsewhere after the first morning. There was cigarette ash in the bathroom floor when I arrived and it was still there when I left after 3 nights. The bath was approx. 1m long and had no bathplug. It was cheap but I think I got less than I paid for, even at E36 per night.
The price was Ok and this was the only hotel that offered triple rooms (what we needed) Towels and beds were clean At check-in our 2 rooms were already given to other guests! We arrived at around 9pm and they thought we would not come anymore. We did not confirm the time of our check-in as we provided already our credit card details upon reservation. Nevertheless the guests that checked already in our rooms were thrown out again... We just had to wait 20min. 1 room had only a curtain between toilet and bedroom, we were able to change to a "normal" room on the 2nd day. The rooms were dirty, especially the bath room. Service was bad, staff unfriendly, nobody saying "hello" or "good morning" when seeing a guest. Breakfast was simple - coffee, juice and plastic packed supermarked croissant, but better than nothing.
