The hotel was beautiful. Really nice pool and the ferry right to Universals city walk.
The distance to the room was crazy and the room was very small. We came despite the health risk as we were told our room would be upgraded and cleanliness standards were raised. Nobody wore gloves and our room was not upgraded and the rate was not reduced. We wont stay again.
Lower rates. There was no advantages to staying here. They offered $300 for 2 tickets to universal for 4 hours. Thats a crime. We refused.
I got sick with the food in the restaurant
The "feel" of this hotel is unmatched. It really feels like you are on vacation. We come here again and again.
The new sushi bar is beautiful and cozy, but the sushi is not good. We have always loved the sushi here and we were looking forward to it this year, but it was very disappointing. The rice is overcooked and not seasoned. The chicken "tempura" is not tempura- it is breaded like chicken fingers and tough. We didn't take off any points and it doesn't change our opinion of the resort, but we are hoping that they fix the problem so we can enjoy it next year. Also, the eggs at the buffet are not fresh cracked eggs. They are clearly powdered form or from a carton.
The location is terrific. The view to the garden made me feel as if I was in a South Asian Country. The room decoration was beautiful, but the doll depictured in the painting made my wife a little unconfortable at night, lol.
We only used one of the beds available, but before the check-out we searched the room to make sure we didn't forget anything. What a surprise when we found some trash under the bed. Other than this little slip, the experience was wonderful.
