I reserved a gas engine car but got assigned an electric car or gas car in the confirmation. The electric car class is $200 cheaper in the reservation page. I paid more but SixT purposely sneak in a cheaper product. I tried to contact them and got very rude response. They refuse to admit their mistake and charged me three days of rent + tax for cancelling a reservation due to their fraud presentation. SixT is a fraud and a very rude company. I'm glad I only lost $200 and dumped SixT.

I chose to have full insurance coverage when booking and prepaying for the car. The reservation on the Sixt App showed that collision and theft coverage were included but upon arrival the agent said that her system does not have it included and that I would have to pay $40+/day to get collision and theft coverage. She said I only had 3rd party liability. I showed her the reservation that clearly said "collision and theft coverage included" and she said that it was not showing that on her side so it was not included. I did not add the insurance and probably would have had a major fight if I would have needed to use the insurance.

Pick up and the airport was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had more luggage than expected to had to size up. Car was dirty which made condition difficult to assess. Luckily I took photos as they went over it with a fine tooth comb at drop off. My son was a little sick in the car so they charged for cleaning. Fair enough but £135 felt like a lot for what was probably going to be 5 mins with bucket of hot water.

Great vehicles at great prices, but their policies are not clearly stated to the point of being confusing to their own staff. During pickup two form of government IDs were required, and a physical credit card was required instead of a card on an electronic wallet. Neither of these two important policies are clearly expressed during the reservation of the vehicle and were found out only once at the counter. This caused aloud family a three hour delay in the middle of our vacation.

The one-way (different drop-off location than pick-up location) 150 euro fee is excessive. For any future trips, we will not rent a car to avoid the one-way fee and leave from a nearby airport.

They took the car back in the middle of traveling due to the loss of driver license by theft. Ruined travel, high fine and penalties with no response. Rent at Paris but taken at Milan, Italy. Had to walk away without any alternatives. Horrible and terrible representatives at the counters both France and Italy

Really no complaint. We would only rent a small car in Europe due to tight road and tight parking when driving around. So we cannot complain about the lack of power that a small vehicle has. After reconfirming a week in advance that our car would be ready, we were kept waiting for two hours for a vehicle that was supposedly coming from a nearby parking garage. When we finally got the keys, the vehicle turned out to be one that was in the lot at Roissy the whole time. If I hadn’t kept asking the staff for an update, they would have left us sitting there all day.

I was told the rental car was a standard 6 speed transmission. I agreed to this. I had been many year (50) since I drove this type of transmission. It took some time to get used to it but I managed. looked the drop off process at the Munich airport but I havn"t yet seen the final bill. I did see an unexpected charge for $160 that I wasn't expecting. I fill the tank at the airport so the car actualy had more gas when i returned it than when i picked it up. I did get a parking ticket and am expecting to pay that, but i would have guessed it would take longer to show up.

Clean new car. However it was filled up just to show the Full indicator but in reality after 10km the needle went to 1/4 of the tank. During pick up at 11.30pm the counter was empty. The attendant was eating in the backroom and slammed the door when I tried to find who is in charge. I had to go to the parking lot to find someone who can give me the car

BEWARE! We used Kayak to reserve a mini car, a SmartCar or similar. When we arrived in France, we had been assigned a mini - an ELECTRIC one. I have no issue with this in theory, but the car had only a 150 km range per charge, and charging would give us 15-20 km per hour of charging! This would never work for our purposes, and there were no charging stations at most of our hotels/gites. The staff could not seem to understand that this wouldn´t work for us, and then charged us four times the original cost to rent a diesel car, because they only had SUVs available. We had no choice, as we needed to get on the road, but when I checked my original rental paperwork, there was nothing to indicate that we would have limited mileage or an electric car. I would never book a rental car through kayak again, and I expect Hertz to compromise on the price of the car if I cannot drive it more than 150 km per day.
