The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Everyone was super nice, from the front desk and concierge to the restaurant staff and bar tenders! Even housekeeping was present and made sure we had everything we needed, even though we woke up so late! The hotel itself is interesting and has a beautiful layout, but you can tell it's very old and has had many different restorations. The courtyard view is beautiful, and it's in close proximity to lots of restaurants and shopping and even the canal and République Square which is a great social spot. Also, it's probably one of the only hotels in Europe where you can find rooms with two full size beds and are really spacious!
There really isn't too much within the day to day to make the hotel better. It's a very old hotel, but they do a decent job with keeping it up to clean standards. I'd recommend a full remodeling of the rooms and hallways, including the bathtubs in the bathrooms. They should perhaps replace them with showers. And they should replace the carpets in the hallways. Other than that, it's really a good deal considering the amount of space you get in compassion to other European hotels!
Great location, a bit out of the center but literally about 30 feet from metro station. And it is about 30 mins walk from Louvre area and the Seine bank. The hotel faces a plaza with many food places but not much shopping. It was clean and very comfortable with probably the biggest bathroom I have ever seen. The staff was outstanding, with one minor exception. Our breakfast was not included, and it was fairly pricey for 18 euros. I would highly recommend it. The hotel also stored our luggage since we arrived way early before check in time.
The location is away from center and most of the attractions but right on a metro stop.
Location! This hotel is located right on top of one of the major metro stations, which made getting around the city super convenient. Room quality, amenities, and service weren't quite as great as other luxury hotel brands, but were still far above average. Aside from a minor screw-up at check-in, I had no complaints.
Noise. Being situated on such a main thoroughfare, you get a lot of street noise, even at night. HVAC. Our room was always hot! We had to crack the window just to keep it comfortable, especially at night while trying to sleep.
Well decorated, the rooms looked nice. In this case the location was very convenient
Air Conditioner didn't work TV did't work The wireless internet would drop out for several hours at a time The pillows were very thick and very hard... not suitable for sleeping
location and professional staff concierge was very helpful
no free wi-fi (most hotels it is free) hard to control temperature in the room room service is too slow
