It was in the center It is very old hotel, you need to fight with the staff for central heating. Amazing they are turning on the central heating just for an hour, then you need to shout again.
Proximity to the train station. When we got to the room there was someone sleeping in there, that situation was not comfortable at all. During the entire stay one of the lifts was out of order, two of the lobby public phones were out of order. It looked like the hotel was about to close. The cleanliness of the room and corridors was also not acceptable.
Near to railway station On initial booking requested a smoking room however when checked in they gave a non smoking room and would not then change it.
It was very central, next to bus and train station The outside made you a bit worried about the hotel you had picked but once inside it was OK.
The location mainlly suited our requirements The Breakfast very Bland
The room was very cold, there was no isolation, and it was freezing outside!
Location to train station and town centre
the convenience to the railway station ,area ,public houses, traffic free environment, location of room
The hotel was easy to find from the train station
Fast check in, warm well decorated room no tv remote :-(
Great facilities and staff were very helpful.
I did not know what to expect and was suprised about the small size of the room, limited storage, the bed infront of the radiator. I had a terrible sleep because the loud noise of the radiator in the room kept me waking up throughout the night. The room had very limited comfort.
High room standards , quality touches not found in many 5 star hotels, brilliant showers.Nothing, however trivial is too much trouble for Keith the manager who appears to have his 'finger on the pulse' at all times. Having to check out and return home !!!!!!
The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good The beds were not very comfortable
Clean. efficient., economical, friendly, excellent breakfast, quiet, WiFi, character decor, excellent all round value for anyone looking for a place to lay their head in Wolverhampton. Nothing
The rooms were clean and tidy, the breakfasts were excellent, and the manager was very helpful and pleasant. Excellent value for money! Would stay again.
Beautiful/ full of old treasures/cared for/clean/lots of nice touches/ helpful, friendly manager Everything was perfect.
very welcoming and excellent value for money. interesting history of the hotel and building
Small but comfortable room/bed, friendly personel, fresh made (simple) breakfast.
our first double room on the ground floor, running along side bar was far to small, but once we up graded to the court yard it was amazing. wanted more option on the food menu, but your breakfast was great.
Broken trouser press in room, poor quality shower requiring updating of tiling/grouting
as i took my elderly mother in law, everything we asked for they were very helpful the only problem was that she could not get into the bath and a shower would have been helpful, also our double room the shower i would class as poor the power was not good.
Comfort & style of the hotel.
The locality and the room itself was acceptable. The shower on the first morning was, at best, lukewarm. Having reported the problem we expected it to be resolved, but this was not the case and we suffered the same fate the next morning. We also wanted to use the room phone, but this would not work. We reported this problem also. On our second night we arrived back at the hotel to find a wedding party in full swing with children running about screaming. On reaching the sactuary of our room we were confronted with very load music. Management advised us that they could not get the volume turned down and that it would be going on till 1 o'clock. During our discussion with the day manager next morning he admitted that our compaints had not been logged as they should have been.
I liked everything about the hotel, and I found the quality of the food and portions excellent.
The hotel room was large and comfortable and the hotel itself is very pretty The hotel said check in is from 2pm but our room wasn't ready until 3.30, making us late for a reception we were going to.The drinks are also overpriced
friendly and helpful staff good breakfast Bed mattress springs were very noticeable - quite uncomfortable No map available of local streets and area
free wifi night staff require a lesson in manners.
its views The room was grubby and had cobwebs also ther curtains were grubby..asked for a twin got a double then complained so we then got a double with a single in..we gave up after that... breakfast was nice but 12 seater tables are not my idea of fun. too impersonal sitting next to 11 strangers eating your breakfast..
Comfortable bedrooms and helpful staff. wonderful views corridors and bar areas very dark
friendly staff and good value restaurant Rooms a bit small
Friedly atmosphere, stunning views of lake
Our bedroom was excellent. We alsp enjoyed the food
The room and view were lovely would've been nice to go for a walk without feeling like i was in the golfers way
Idydilic location. beautiful, comfortable room. warm welcome. execellent and caring aervice in dining room. Na
Beautiful location, very clean, friendly staff. None
Availability of bar meals and restaurant and ease of stay. No
Beautiful surroundings, helpful staff, quality food.
Found that most needs were satisfactory and warrranted a further visit if plannd in the future We both felt tht the meal on the Sturday night was not of a particularly high standard. Soap dispenser not replenished.
the rooms were of a good size well furnished and clean. The breakfast was excellent. drinks well over priced after midnight eg; £3 a pint and £10 for a double vodka and red bull
Comfortable bed, Tv, evening receptionist pleasant and polite Black hairs all over the bathroom, bath too small to relax in, morning receptionist slow.
Reception staff and the night porter excellent. Good value for money Made to feel unwelcome if just wanting a drink and no food. Seemed to be pushed into front balcony area which is not very pleasant.
Hotel very clean. Staff friendly. Two people in our party one found they had no room booked one had been booked in wrong dates. This also happen to two other people checking in. New restaurant but staff poorly trained.
The hotel is generally clean and comfortable due to recent refurbishment. I find the staff members, though friendly, were not very attentive and managed to bill me incorrectly.
comfortable beds, central location, warm welcome friends rooms not booked, other friends had to pay for two nights although only booked one night
Leaving the place Everything
Good bed, near meeting locations
That it was only for 1 night! The general decor and feel of the place was horrible! Despite paying for an executive package, the room certainly did not live up to this!
Room quiet. Staff friendly and attentive. No problem for late arrivals. standard hygene very good. No tea-making facilities in room. Pillows hard.
great place to stay - clean and comfortable room with good WIFI connection. Also very attractive young lady on reception - Katrina who was very polite and professional. Will book again when in the area for sure.
Friendly & helpful staff. Went out of their way to help.
The price! It was freezing and there was no central heating on and it was below zero outside, I had to sleep with my clothes on! It had forecast cold temperatures but the hotel was left with no heating on!
Room was exceptionally spacious and well equipped, as was the bathroom. Both looked recently refurbished and the heating worked excellently! Breakfast was good quality (didn't eat evening meal in as there is an excellent Italian just up the orad and I love Italian food). Corridors etc were narrow and a bit tired. Couldn't make outgoing calls from extremely sophisticated phone in room. I had to go to bar to access free Wi-Fi as my room was out of range. Had full breakfast, but would have had to pay extra £6.50 to add half a grapefruit to this, which I thought a bit steep.
Facilities appeared very good although only slept there and did not eat or drink there due to commitments elsewhere.Security was very good particularly with the car park having gates which were closed at midnight, very comforting considering we were on the ground floor facing the car park. Also very helpful that the hotel accepts Maestro cards as well as credit cards.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff Comfortable bed Quiet atmosphere Close to city centre Easy parking Room could have ben cleaner More tea bags in room(only 2!!)
The staff were very efficient and thoughtful, the room was well decorated, clean and quiet.Breakfast was beautifully presented and tasty.I would certainly stay there again.
The staff did try to provide service The room was shabby and extremely dark and cleanliness was poor. The shower didn't work. The heating only comes on for a set period in the evening so it was freezing at night.
Good access; modern comfortable room ( but could do with an easy chair); good secure parking ; warm ; quite . Breakfast very mixed, very limited choice of cereals and poor toast, but good fresh fruit. Didn't try cooked breskfast.
Clean comfortable rooms. Windows do not open!
Clean and tidy rooms, nice size, staff friendly Cost of breakfast was unreasonable for what we ate.(£7.50) there were no deals on the weekend we wanted to stay so we had to pay £52 per night when at other times we could have only paid £29
comfortable room and helpful staff
Very good cleaning of the room Although our reservation included breakfast when we arrived at the hotel we were told that we were not entitled to any breakfast and that we had to pay extra for it.staff seemed confused . also bath towels are old and should be changed
Receptionist very helpful No means in room to call reception, had to go down
The room was clean and a good size There was no lift and my room was on the second floor at the extreme end of the corridor
Used the leisure center
I did not stay but my parents did as a treat last weekend for fathers day. They tell me everything was marvellous and will certainly go back if they go to wolverhampton in future. The package price of bed breakfast and dinner was absolutely brilliant. The facilities on offer were also top class. no
the food was excellent and the kids loved the pool. the decor in the family room! Very old fashioned!!
Room we paid for was a Premium room but our friends both had larger rooms at no extra cost. Pool and Sauna facilities were sub standard and very run down.
Beds were lumpy, bathroom was old. The whole hotel could do with a facelift
The staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is close to shops and restaurants. Everything was fine.
My second stay this year very clean excellent staff resonable priced hotel with a touch of class .
the bedroom was nice and spacious for family, food was very good especially for the kids ,waitresses were nice.swimming pool good there was no drinks list available at dinner, even though i asked the waiter for one.we are a family on a tight budget and needed to know what we were spending.the main light did not work in the bathroom,we had to use the sink light
We stayed on the family deal which was Dinner, Bed, Breakfast & family ticket to cadburys world. At £99 this was excellent value for money for a family of 4 .
The breakfast was excellent The room was cramped
The breakfast was very good.Off-road parking very good. I consider bedroom too small for two people let alone three as there were three beds [one double and a single] the ensuite bathroom was far too small not enough room to towel yourself dry after a shower.
very friendly and excellent facilities
An excellent breakfast Very small toilet area in the room
Attentive owner, excellent breakfast. Road noise was just a little intrusive
Very nice lady Linda looked after us None
The owner was most helpful and was went out of her way to make us feel welcome, it was also a very quiet and relaxing guest house.
very clean and comfortable excellent breakfast very nice owners
The manager (Linda) was very courtreous, gave me the hotel number in case I got lost, helped me with directions, and made me feel welcome.Best hotel stay in tears. thank you
In the country in delightful setting. The lady owner took the trouble to contact us before we left home to ensure there were no problems. Breakfast was superb.
Excellent hotel with excellent customer service.Staff very friendly and an ideal location -close to the station.Room was very comfortable and breakfast/food was excellent.
Easy access to city centre, great value for money, reasonable bar prices, great place to stay if you are going to the civic centre,we went to a boxing show, and to see ricky hatton in the hotel bar having a meal made it more memorable.
The shower was nice n relaxing The toilet water kept rising and took ages to go down when flushed
Location to city centre, cleanliness, breakfast and value for money nothing really
Staff very unhelpfull, breakfast trays from that morning still outside rooms in the evening, swimming pool was dirty, pricing/terms not clear when booking
The food in the restaurant/bar was up with the best I have eaten and I stay in hotels every week Difficult to switch the taps over to shower mode
Comfort of the room
Extremely comfortable beds, lovely bar and reception area, ideal location for the Brian McKnight gig at the civic hall Food ordered at the bar was very expensive and the quality was very disappointing
i found the staff and facilities at the novotel very very good and would stay again
position of hotel at center
comfotable and straight forward bar staff inadequately trained
good location, staff friendly and good food. Room was warm and would benefit from air conditioning during summer.
The staff were so friendly and welcoming, really important after a long journey. The room was warm and comforting and excellent bedside lamps (in many hotels they are impossible to read by), the shower was superb — really hot water and a clean shower-head, and the breakfast was very good, well cooked, and good coffee.
Room was clean, spacious, quite and comfy. Staff were friendly and informative. N/A
The young woman who booked us in was superb - she was welcoming and empathetic. When we couldn't get the door open she helped us and showed us how to do it. She got is two more pillows - all done in a very friendly, efficient manner. You have sent us this questionnaire but we were so impressed with the service she gave us we were going to write you a letter of appreciation. Full Marks to her.
This hotel room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The resturant next door was also very nice. Would recommend this hotel.
Food such as pies etc. mass produced. Did not like the music at breakfast.
One of the best Asian restaurants I have eaten in Very slow check in process with only one receptionist who also had to deal with groups booking their Christmas Parties..
It was a lovely hotel and the room was very nice and the price was very good definitely worth every penny... Will definitely stay there again :) Nothing to complain about
The hotel was very pleasant, decor was bright and new and breakfast was good, Didn't like the spa and pool being closed for refurbishment.
Beautifull setting My daughter and I shared a twin bedded room and found the beds to be extremely narrow , we are both slim people so I can cannot image how a large person would not have fallen out of the bed !
There was a function going on at the hotel and the room that I was in had bass of music pumping until 1am. Not the best if you have a 6 month old baby. The staff did offer to move us, but at 11 o'clock at night with luggage and baby and having already gone to bed we declined the offer.
nothing rooms were not clean, insect larvae in the bedsheets and dirty bathroom. Staff were not helpful or apologetic.
standard of leisure facilities was exceptional and the hotel represented excellent value for money, would definately recomend.
Comfortable for the price toilet in the room was filthy
No facility for using laptop - either as a dial-in facility or wireless
Nothing Poor acess to rooms i.e. no lift, cot we had ordered had no mattress or bed linen, room was dark with dated furniture, view of a skip from window and the spa was closed. Not what we had expected from a four star Ramada hotel.
Nice period hotel, nicer than the uber modern minimalistic hotels! Very good value for money Noisy plumbing in room!
Cheap, clean, friendly; provided all that was promised. Decoration was old and poor. Also, would have liked a bath.
Nice big bed.
A really nice hot bath and warm room was very very welcoming especially in such a cold snap Not really, had to find breakfast in the morning, as it was such a large area it was a bit unclear where it was but within a couple of mins there was a member of staff to help.
Fantstic rooms and freindly staff. Restricted WiFi and poor mibile signal.
good food selection (Pub Chain) Overlooked busy main road - traffic noise
The cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the staff. I stay here quite often but this is the first time I have been in a room at the front of the hotel-I found the traffic noise from the nearby main road a bit too much.
food was first class in restaurant, room clean and tidy though not modern
We only stayed for one night but the settee in the room was a fantasic idea nothing
Nice size room. Comfy bed. No heating over night. Came on as we were leaving.
Outstanding service from all the staff who were all very friendly. Good location with ample space for parking, roomr was clean and included kettle with tea and coffee. Excellent location for racing. Enjoyed our stay and we would surely recommend. Veronica & Reg Kingsize bed with att full size throw, instead of double
very convenient for family visit, quiet location and close to town bit tatty room appearance, breakfast at about 09:00 was not fresh, poor bed meant restless night
friendly and happy staff - good breakfast booked double room for 2 but only had one set of towels
Location for the race course, parking was free and overall stay was very good.
Nice friendly staff and welcome great room Only bad bit really was the dissapointing breakfast, When you pay extra for the breakfast I expect better than dried up scrambled eggs
