Excellent 10.0
Pros: What a gem of a B&B, perfectly located for the city centre, room was large and very comfortable with a modern bathroom and shower. Friendly host and the best breakfast i have had in any hotel that I can remember Will be back again early in 2022
Cons: Nothing everything was great and as described.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely Greeting when we arrived and a drink of tea made for us. Room clean with tea and coffee making facilities. very clean. Good location. Lovely cooked Breakfast
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very good breakfast and location perfect and and easy to walk to The hoe
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything, the owner made us very welcome, would definitely recommend 👌👍
Cons: Everything was fine 🙂
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Brilliant breakfast. Perfect location. Perfect and brilliant hostess ( owner ).
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Excellent breakfast , good location
Excellent 9.0
Pros: We loved how the proprietor made available to us, one of 2 private off street parking bays. This was very generous. The property was very clean, tidy and well located on the edge of the old town and only a 5 minute wall from the Hoe. Breakfast was individually prepared to order and service was convivial.
Cons: As with many of these types of places, parking is always an issue. No on street parking available. Use of a pay and display is normal.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very comfortable and clean room, located in a quiet street close to the Hoe and Barbican, excellent breakfast and the host, Diane was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Definitely recommended
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We were made to feel at home straightaway with a pot of tea brought to our room (which was comfortable and very clean.) Di is a great cook and provides a delicious breakfast and she was so kind to be flexible with our breakfast time a we were on a schedule on one of the days. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again. Thank you 😊
Cons: Everything was as it should be
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: Not Poppys fault, I don't think, but I never received confirmation of booking and so didn't turn up therefore incurring a full cancellation charge. Knew nothing of it til I got the only email from kayak/expedite saying that I had just paid £45.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very friendly hosts, serving a great breakfast selection. The room was lovely and clean and comfy. I love that there is milk available for tea in little bottles in a communal fridge, but as I said this uht. It was a quiet location not far from the Hoe. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: The positives far out way any minor negatives. I'd personally prefer real milk for my cup of tea in the room, rather than UHT but it's not a deal breaker. The TV was not connecting to BBC channels in my room which was a little restrictive. The host did attempt to correct the issue but it didn't resolve the issue.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Lovely place, great location, lovely people. We will be back. Thank you.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: My mum and I have just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at Mariners. It was practically perfect in every way. Literally every possible want, need or must have was catered for with kindness and total professionalism. Mariners is in the perfect location just off the seafront. A short walk to some nice food places too. Also only a short walk to The Barbican, passing some gorgeous views along the way. So if you are wanting a warn, kind, clean quirky stay then book Mariners. Oh and James cooks the best poached eggs too 😋
Cons: Nothing, liked it all.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: really friendly environment, I was made very welcome. The room was clean, tidy and very comfortable for the price paid. Excellent value for money. A great cup of tea in the morning with breakfast.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: James and Marie are very nice and friendly, the room is lovely, clean and confortable. Very delicious breakfast were served every morning, with various options. Good location, just 6 min walk to the Weast Hoe Park. I will definitely choose this hotel again if go to plymouth next time.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: lovely and clean and has recently been refurbished.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: everything was great
Cons: nothing at all

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Like home from home

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location. Friendly staff. Free on-site parking. Very nice breakfast. Clean room, comfortable big bed, and so quiet! Very good price too.
Cons: n/a
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Breakfast was great, and location perfect
Cons: All of the B&B was great
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very clean well decorated and comfortable room great location very friendly would definitely stay again
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great staff, very polite and informative. Excellent location, very close to Central Plymouth. Quiet area even on a weekend so definitely worthwhile booking if that's your thing. Bed is of a high quality, shower and bath facilities also very good too.
Cons: The fact I wasn't up in time to try the breakfast I had agreed to have. This is in no way anyone's fault other than my own.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A beautiful cosy period style building situated in a lovely neighbourhood, with friendly & welcoming hosts, whom both made me feel very comfortable during my stay. Small comforts & conveniences in the room were abundant. A small empty bar fridge to use, USB socket plugs, tea & coffee etc... The room & bathroom was as SPOTLESSLY clean as a 5☆ hotel ! Bed was wonderfully comfortable, therefore I had a great night's sleep! The delicious hot breakfast was so generous I could not finish it all. Complimentary parking was conveniently available on site, & only a short walk to the Ocean front made the location ideal to stay inI wouldn't stay anywhere else if I returned to Plymouth. Thank you to Erica & Paul 😊🏆
Cons: *N/A. I was extremely happy with everything.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great central location near the Hoe, good breakfast, friendly staff. Our premier room was well worth the little extra cost being a very comfortable size for two with a sitting area, table for eating and little fridge and microwave, which we didn’t know about until we arrived.
Cons: Everything was great, other than that the bed was slightly lumpy but acceptable.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The place was spotless. Staff were friendly. Lovely breakfast. Airy room. We would definitely stay there again.
Cons: I love a hot bath. So ran the water and it was hot enough to get in, but not enough hot water if we both wanted a bath or to top it up. The plug also leaked, which in the hotels defence l forgot to mention it. Small towels. No little extras like biscuits 😂.

Pros: Room was delightful and fully met my expectations. It was clean and extremely well kitted out. Hosts were warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was EXCELLENT, I had full English which was beautifully cooked and not at all greasy. Location for my needs was perfect. Attention to detail and COVID precautions were all excellent and I felt very safe there as a lone woman.
Cons: I couldn't fault them on anything. There is nothing at all I would mark them down on.

Pros: Phoned ahead to let them know what time my family would be arriving but then they got stuck in traffic. Phoned back up and ask to stay up just incase they were late for check-in. Which the lady agreed to. Then called me when they arrived to let me know they arrived safely. My wife said it's good value for money and will book again for the next trip to Plymouth.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Beautiful views especially from the bedroom and the staff were wonderful we had a generally very good experience and help made our trip special! definitely come back!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: convenient location and lovely view
Excellent 8.0
Pros: staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms and hotel very clean, food was amazing.
Cons: room I had was a little tired but spotless clean and had everything you needed.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location was fantastic! beautiful views. staff all so friendly and welcoming and food surprisingly (for a budget price) was excellent. the rooms were honest and comfortable and very clean. o was lucky to have one of the four balcony rooms which was so nice.
Cons: nothing. I was expecting a budget hotel with budget facilities yet I found a real gem! oK it isn’t four star but you are not paying anything like four star prices. I would happily have paid £20 per night more.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The staff were amazingly friendly. The room was nicely decorated, and the cleanliness of the room was good in general. The location in Dartmoor National Park was great. The breakfast was served exceptionally fast, was very hot, and well presented. Car park had ample parking. Well worth the money. Beaches can be reached within a few miles.
Cons: The hotel is a little dated. On the outside it could do with a little love & care. The stairways / entrance could do with a lick of paint and new carpet. On the stairs the window ledges could do with a polish and big cob webbs behind fire extinguishers that you can see when walking down the stair could be removed. The room had patio doors and the glass needs a very good clean.

This is our 5th visit as it’s a great location for our needs. Friendly and helpful staff, great facilities in house…will use again whenever we visit Plymouth again👍
Good 6.8
I found it hard to find accommodation on the weekend Uni starts, I normally do Premier Inn. All prices everywhere went right up disappointingly. However, we got a room at Futures. Staff at the reception desk were formal and polite, was not explained where the lift was or what floor. Finding the room it was clean, spotless and the only grudge was the shower head was one of those that would twist off in the opposite direction , you had to hold it in place to get wet. Eating there was fine and friendly and we enjoyed food.
Good 7.6
Stayed for 1 week as a family of four. Rooms are large which was great. Beds comfy. Hotel is a little way out from Plymouth but there are a couple of places to eat and pick up supplies just across the road. Including a cafe and Iceland inside a range superstore. Staff were all friendly

Excellent 8.0
Pros: clean, nice rooms. good facilities. great location and easy accessible parking.
Cons: We were given a room that had disabled access and believe this should have been reserved for someone else.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everthing
Cons: Nothing
Good 7.0
Pros: close to town, secure parking nearby.
Cons: was noisy most of the night with traffic, people shouting.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Easy to book. Room quiet for a city centre. Staff pleasant. Comfortable bed and all essentials provided.
Cons: Feel bed should have had a mattress cover. Really don’t like sheet directly on mattress. Unhygienic. Doors of other guests slamming during night meant sleep was frequently interrupted. Not a restful night.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: location
Cons: no breakfast included in the price
Excellent 10.0
Pros: great location. friendly staff. clean and tidy
Cons: all good.
Okay 4.0
Cons: bought a round of drinks at the bar, 1 pint of Guinness, 1 pint of Stella and 2 large gin and tonics. I always expect to pay more in the hotel but this came too £44.00, extortionate.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Excellent location, clean rooms, courteous staff
Cons: Breakfast wasn’t great
Excellent 8.4
We book early in the year and wasn't told that breakfast would be in a bag due to covid. Which yes I totally understand but it was no way near what we would have got. A porridge pot, yogurt, nutribar, pain au choc and orange juice. I only liked 2 things the juice and pain au choc so no I done not think it was worth it I just wish they had let us know in advance. They new they were in tier 2 and had plenty of time to let us know
Excellent 10.0
I visit jury's once a month for a respite break as I am a carer. from the minute I walk in I am surrounded by watmth efficiency, friendliness. feels like home. Your staff are so sympathetic and understanding. iIf it's possible to do more for me they do. BRIANNA is a wonderful girl and a credit to jury's. the room is fresh and spotless, bathroom also, it's quiet and comfortable and has everything I need and more. the only thing makes me sad is having to leave. excellent food, friendly bar makes a solo guest feel comfortable. i would love the breakfast but I can't sit down there on my own. thank you all for a most memorable stay.
Excellent 8.1
staff were very helpful, parking is a nightmare very little signage n not enough spaces the complimentry juice didn't work but was given tokens for the bar, this was nice as kids were thirsty had requested adjoining rooms but this hadn't been actioned. spoke to reception and they fixed this for us which was appreciated
Excellent 9.2
Excellent customer service and great facilities
Good 7.1
Pros: Room was clean
Cons: Parking was in a local car park and and extra cost of £8 No breakfast included made it too expensive It was a business stay for my self and my son so none of the options of traveller apply
Good 6.2
Pros: location
Cons: That Kayak charged me one third as much again for the booking. The rack rate was MUCH cheaper. Parking is not easy and expensive if you use nearby underground garage.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: excellent facilities
Cons: nothing , it was perfect
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Standard room as expected, good variety for breakfast well prepared, dinner good but could do with a little more choice.
Cons: Does not apply as i always enjoy a break away.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent breakfast helpful and friendly staff lovely warm room very relaxing stay
Cons: I can't think of anything we didn't like
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Lovely setting , very friendly and helpful staff - lovely food , service first class and relaxing atmosphere . The facilities are excellent , not just golf but much more - enjoy the country walks and nature all around you .
Cons: Road to the hotel is narrow and you need to take care , but the hotel is still worth visiting . Not a very large lounge but there is also a spacious bar to sit in .
Okay 4.0
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The gym was also very good, and much better than other hotels that I have stopped in.
Cons: I don't think the room was particularily clean, although it was quite tidy there were quite a lot of hair and dust on the bed which was off putting. There also wasn't any toilet papper in the bathroom or coffee with the kettle. The location wasn't fantastic either, it was a bit more in the sticks than I had realised so I was all but forced to eat at the hotel. The Wifi was absolutely awful, I was due to have a virtual meeting and the connection was strong but the speed was below 1MB so I was forced to find somwhere else to do my meeting. The staff did try to accomodate me, but there wasn't much they could do with the internet.
Good 6.0
Pros: nice building, comfy beds, big rooms, nice pool, good location, ok food
Cons: staff not overly friendly, helpful or welcoming, areas of hotel a little dated , pool changing room lay out and lockers do not work,

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Food at breakfast and dinner excellent. Good quality, well presented and prepared. Staff in all parts of the hotel friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing
Okay 5.0
Pros: I had stayed at the Copthorne some years ago with work and booked again for a function we were attending in Plymouth. Although the staff were friendly and very helpful due to a mistake from Booking.com the room and facilities looked very tiered and in desperate need of upgrading.
Cons: As above
Good 7.0
Pros: friendly and efficient welcome
Cons: breakfast. the coffee was really not great and I would prefer to have food cooked to order. there is so much more waste when it is preprepared and the quality suffers too
Excellent 9.0
Pros: friendly stay great location in a great location 5 minutes from the coach station Which we needed to be by 5.30am
Cons: lift not working
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Cleanliness

Excellent 8.8
We always enjoy our stay at this hotel. Location is good, close to centre of town and railway station. The breakfast is really good and.the staff are really friendly. The rooms are comfortable and quiet.
Good 7.2
Hotel location is pretty good, despite the building looking like a concrete block. The staff were friendly and contentious. The biggest downside is the very uncomfortable beds & paper-thin walls. Overall is was not a pleasant stay, I expected more for £124 per night.
Excellent 10.0
Great place to spend the night, exceptionally clean and beautiful with great customer service.
Excellent 10.0
Super comfy rooms, ideal location and friendly helpful staff. Would definitely book to stay here again.
Excellent 10.0
clean very and staff lovely location great hotel best Plymouth
Excellent 9.2
The location of the hotel is excellent, little bit further out but close to alot of shops and only 15 minute walk to the Barbican and main restaurants we ate at. The hotel Is clean and although the furniture within the rooms is somewhat outdated the room itself was big and had all we needed. The only fault was we were told we would get our room cleaned on the third day we were there, this had been reduced from the normal every day service due to covid. However the third day came and went and we had to call for reception for some towels and toilet paper. We waited again the next day but again the rook hadn't been tended to, it was a shame that we didnt get any clean sheets or replacement of general amenities whilst we were there over 6 days. Other than this the room was good for the money paid.
Excellent 10.0
Loved it from the minute i got there.i booked through you last minute first time and have nothing bad to say about copthorne hotel.im going to plymouth again soon and i try hotels combined first definately.thank you
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Location, it was very good value for money, we managed to park in the underground car park which was good. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation, but that didn’t have any effect on our stay. Would definitely stay there again
Cons: The rooms were a bit dated, especially the bathrooms, but they were spotlessly clean
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Great interior design, nice touches in the room and bath, nicely sized room, great restaurant. Overall really enjoyed my stay.
Cons: Shower took quite a while to warm up. Exterior could do with some updating.

Good 7.0
Pros: Lovely location needs a little updating smallest tv ever seen
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The food was excellent and staff were particularly friendly and helpful. The furnishing in the room was a little tired, but everything was spotlessly clean. The location is somewhere special. Our Labrador was made very welcome and he thoroughly enjoyed his stay!
Cons: The room was a little tired, particularly the furniture (apart from the bed).
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Our stay was excellent if and when we come back to the area we will definitely book with you again
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Quiet location, large room overlooking garden, comfortable beds and good food.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Lovely food and good staff. Very very good value.
Good 7.0
Pros: Staff very friendly and stunnlng location
Cons: Showers were not great. Water goes everywhere making a mass.
Excellent 9.6
The 4 stars for facilities is only due to the lack of a bath (I personally prefer a shower) and a few items of “refreshing maintenance” becoming due in the bathroom. One piece of practical information that should be on the website is the 2.1 m height restriction for vehicles arriving via the one way entrance route. This could be got around by carefully accessing the car park via the exit (rather than having to ask any cars behind to reverse). If you are travelling with a dog you are all in for a real treat. We have often been charged between €5 and £20 in various place we have stayed merely to cover cleaning, but here not only was our dog warmly welcomed by the staff but in the room he was provided with a blanket, a towel, two bowls, some food samples and even some dog soap! The extensive dog friendly grounds and the surrounding moorland provide a variety of walks without having to drive anywhere else.
Good 7.2
Its a quirky building so can be a bit hit and miss regarding accessibility. But staff were pleasent and helpful. Limited veggie selection at dinner and partner was underwhelmed by her main and my risotto went back once as cold. I would stop again but not sure about restaurant. Shame as previously loved the food and that was the reason chose to stay. When I mentioned about my meal on checkout was told 'I will pass that on' which feels a bit weak. it was ok and would give ut another chance in future.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful surroundings fab room and the most impressive pet friendly experience ever. Will look forward to another visit.
Cons: Nothing to complain about at all
