I have now been told ( almost 2 months later) that the flight was only delayed and not cancelled so we are not getting a compensation payout to cover the huge additional cost I had to spend to fly another airline to get me to Aberdeen. Awful customer service, unreliable flights"

I never had any issues with being able to take my backpack on or being asked to check it as it carried my laptop & wallet...unlike other airlines of similar size running to & from SYY."

The arrival gate personnel (including pilots) were very sympathetic to our frustration (not having our wheelchair) and worked hard to get us to the departure gate. Good work!!"

May I suggest that you invest in either better,safer steps or a short slope as per other ones used by other airlines at Guernsey airport."

Cons: "I was not able to use the flight to Edinburgh so this information pertains to my flight from Edinburgh to Dublin. Myself and two friends on the same flight arrived at the airport very early because we were warned we needed extra time for customs. Little did we know that the extra time we needed was to make sure we didn't miss our flight due to the incompetence of the Ryan air staff checking baggage. But actually even before that, you need to be aware that you'll pay another $15 if you are in the same situation we were in and are unable to print your boarding pass. When we arrived to check baggage their automated system was not working. This appeared related to payment however there didn't appear to be anyone in the long line able to do this. We were subsequently sent back and forth about six different places in order to Just check our one piece of luggage each. One of my friends was directed to a separate line at one point and the agent started yelling at us while we were in line. There was only one poor woman who knew what she was doing having to handle several of us who were angry (not just us), as well as a long line of passengers trying to also check their bags. As I said I would not fly Ryan Air again if you paid me! In the long run you pay more between their "extras" and the aggravation."

I was abroad and didn't have access to a printer seven days before I was notified of this action. Additional charge of 150 Euros for checking 4 bags. The cost of the one way ticket for the two of us was 80 Euros yet the extra fees were 240 Euros. Give me a break! The seats are uncomfortable and then they broke my golf driver in my bag. I haven't even tried to claim that with this airline because they don't care about their customers. Never again and I would suggest to anyone to stay away from Ryan Air. Least transparent company I have ever used."

Cons: "Upon arriving at the airport, I discovered that they will not print your boarding passes -- unless you want to pay $66 per ticket (I printed at computer station for about $25). Baggage charges were also a surprise: you have to pay to check your bag separately for the out and return journeys -- to the the tune of $51-66 each way. $6 to pick a seat (a necessity since I had my children along). My $53 city hop wound up costing me about $183. Times that by 5, as I had my family along. That and the entire flight, the crew tried to sell me stuff. Never flying Ryanair again."

We arrived at the airport and had to pay to get our boarding passes. Okay that's fine I didn't mind because the price was so great! Well I spent another 7 pounds to receive the boarding pass just to find out it was the wrong one. Okay so let's do this again, maybe it was my fault I didn't print out the right one. I went to get the right one and was charged 22 pounds. So now I'm 30 pounds out for a boarding pass. And yes I checked in before my flight. So upon checking my bank statement they charged me 2 times for the 7 pound wrong pass and 2 times for the 22 pound pass. Now I'm 22 pound for the ticket and 56 pounds to print out the passes. Also the staff was rude and unhelpful even though we were the only ones around they were to inconvenienced to help!"

Then because we were “late” by their definition they wouldn’t let us take our carry on into the cabin. They forced us to check it. Then on the plane they wanted to charge for a diet drink. We are usually pretty laid back but by this time we were both pretty upset. Obviously."

We were kept standing until 19.35 (when the flight was scheduled to depart) and then the door was opened, just for us to sit on the staircase waiting to be admitted into the plane for another 20 minutes. I understand delays and unforeseen events, but no rep had the courtesy of telling us why we had been kept waiting this way, on the contrary we were told to move further down the stairs so we can make more room, resulting in being crammed one next to each other. Eventually at around 8 pm we were finally allowed to get on the plane. Not a cool experience, especially when Luton is 2hrs away from London so the passengers had already spent at least 3-4 hours on the road to get to the airport."

When on the plane, I wanted a cup of water and they brought a bottle that cost 5 euros. This airline will nickel and dime you into oblivion."

I'm small so all of the rude people rushed the plane and I had to wait in the back or get trampled. Why did I pay extra for priority? Even at the gate. People just moved the barrier and sat in the priority section. No enforcement of rules at all. So everyone got priority treatment - or you could say no one got priority treatment, just some of us paid extra to be treated like cattle."

Cons: "Flight taxied from gate more than 40 minutes late. We stood in line to board for well over an hour."

Cons: "Pretty much everything else. They even charge extra if my wife and I want the privilege of sitting together."

Pros: "The flight itself was fine."
Cons: "Customer rep at check-in counter was not friendly. Also: 1. Wanted to charge people we were traveling with for printing their boarding pass, when they had their boarding passes on line on their cell phone. 2. Could not just check in luggage at check in counter. Bags were weighed there but then we had to go to a different counter to pay the luggage fees, then return to the check-in counter. Very inconvenient for customers"

Pros: "I liked how cheap RyanAir was to fly. It made hopping from GB to Ireland easier and cheaper."
Cons: "The only problem with RyanAir was their check in process. If you don't check in online you pay 50£ My wife and I didn't have a printer and that was problematic because they didn't have mobile boarding passes. Even with their iPhone app."

Pros: "Advertised price."
Cons: "Check-in was a nightmare. I was on international travel with no PC, only phone and Ipad. I downloaded their ap on the phone, as they do not have an Ipad version. After tedious set up of account, I went through and completed the check-in procedure the day before the flight. However, when I attempted to download my boarding pass, the ap failed. I went to the airport 3 hours early. No attendant to be found so that problem could be resolved. less than 1.5 hours before the flight time, and after standing in line for 1 agent, I was told I could not be checked in, because I did not have a boarding pass, and I would have to purchase one from a service desk (different airline was providing service). The service agent said the Ryanair ap should have worked, and called them to request a waiver on the charge. They refused. I had to go back to the gate desk in order to check in, and very nearly missed my flight. Never again!"

Cons: "The staff had no idea what was going on half the time. I had to wait in 3 different lines and were told 3 different things because I didn't check in before arriving at the airport. Unfortunately, I did not have internet access nor a phone to check-in ahead of schedule. Since the airlines assumed that everyone has this luxury, it wouldn't be a problem."

Pros: "Dificultan el trámite del check in . Deberían de cobrar total y no por parte y exagerado . Ej maleta , carryon . Check in , asientos , al final es una mentira lo de compañía Low Cost ."
Cons: "Muchos problemas en el aeropuerto ."
