SIMPLY AMAZING! I LOVEDDDDDDD IT!!!!
I went to Riu Palace Punta Cana with my partner and my in-laws for my friend's wedding. I cannot find enough words to describe how much we loved our stay at the hotel. We had an amazing time and loved that the staff was so friendly and accommodated us anyway they could. I would without doubt recommend this resort to anyone!! I would surely love to go back!
There is not one thing that I can think of that I did not like about the resort. Everything was on point and worth the money!
Was expecting more, a little disappointed.
All of the staff members were professional, proficient, and polite. However, some of them were simply outstanding. The food was good, and the facilities were very well maintained. The atmosphere was festive where it should be, and relaxing where you would expect it to be.
The beach was filled with seaweed. There was no non-smoking outside sitting area.
Resort and weather were terrific. Staff friendly and eager to help. We have stayed at several other Riu resorts and this was the best. We will definitely be back!!!
Food was good but not great. Breakfast & Lunch were pretty much the same selections everyday. Dinner was very good and varied every night. The staff were friendly and eager to help but spoke and understood very little English which always creates a challenge.
It was a very beautiful hotel. The amenities are top notch. Great value.
The front desk staff are horrible. Basically, I clearly booked through Kayak, so upon arrival I attempted to check in. This process took over 2 hours of standing at the front desk and waiting for their "main office" to figure out my booking. This is all after showing them all of my Confirmation #'s and booking info. No sorry, no discount... nada. After 6 days of a very nice stay, I try to check out. They won't let me leave and threaten to call the police because they claim that I haven't paid. They make me miss my flight. Another 2 hours at the front desk and they tell me that it was their mistake, I have paid. Yeah, no s##t!!! We discussed this in length 6 days ago. So, I demand that they give me a free night, and pay me for my flight rebooking fees. They promptly said no, and said that they could give a discount on my room for that night. So, I had to pay for another night, pay to change my flight and miss a day of work. It was a nightmare. So, buyer beware!!!
