We really enjoyed our stay at the Inn at the Market. We were put in a corner room, with a view of the lively streets out of windows on two sides, and if we stretched we could see the water. The bed was so comfy, the room was larger than expected, well stocked mini-fridge and bar, top quality linens, and of course as many others mentioned, great location - we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go - even to the space needle! But the best feature of the property is the rooftop! Plenty of seating and fire pits that they leave on all night, so anytime you want to enjoy the view you'll be comfy. One night we went out at 1am, just to see if the fire pits were still on - and they were! The front desk has blankets you can take up to the rooftop if needed.
I had to think hard to come up with anything that could have been better, and here it is: The vanity in our room (not sure what other rooms are like) was not much bigger than the sink, so there wasn't a lot of room for perching my lotions and potions and make-up, as I like to do. However, this is just me being nit-picky. There were two shelves under the sink, and plenty of hooks and places to hang things. I guess I noticed it because there was certainly enough room in the bath to have a larger vanity top, and I wondered why it was smaller than it could have been.
Fantastic view! We've stayed at The Inn at the Market before over the years. Location is great, perfect size hotel, staff and facilities all excellent. Valet is responsive and quick. We like everything about staying here.
Right in Pike's Place market, been going to it since I was a kid but staying overnight allowed us the time to explore new spots we never went to before.
Close to Pike place and tourist attractions. The room is pretty spacious and fantastic restaurants on the ground level
Interior is a bit dated in the rooms and our curtains didn't work properly. Also didn't get any view from our rooms (neither city nor ocean, just a wall of another building). Very disappointing considering we choose city view.
Loved the location of the Inn. Our room ended up being on the 3rd floor which was actually street level. There was a homeless man sleeping just outside the exit door and people walking by on the sidewalk could see straight into our room if the curtains weren’t closed the entire time. I love natural light so that was a bummer. Also something happened our last morning there to the hot water and we had to have cold showers. Beds were super comfortable and room was very clean.
Room location (see above). Next time will request an upper level room with a view
