All the amenities and staff accomadations were remarkable.
there is nothing I didn't like
Very helpful staff and very clean.
The decor was fun and comfortable, the live music on Fri and Sat nights (we spent most of both evenings in the lobby!)
Beds were not very comfortable (bedding was), staff at checkout were unpleasant - did not understand our fees and were haughty and unprofessional
The only comfortable part about this place were the spaces outside of the rooms. The staff is nice yet also withheld information that could further increase the enjoyability of our stay (have to bring it up myself and ask).
There was constant hammering the room next to ours (we stayed in 338) which made the room unbearable to stay peacefully in during the morning. Not to mention the room quote was $114, but ended up paying $198 due to other fees. The amenities weren't used and the refund we were offered never happened. So $50 went down the drain and we had to pay for a full day of parking the first night even though we got there around 6pm. So there went another $37 just to repay it the next morning. Overall would rather stay at the embassy where we got a free upgrade with a good view (other than seeing construction) and offered free happy hour between 5-7pm, had a bigger room overall, and still payed less than this resort. Sure the atmosphere is nice in the lobby but that was about it. No continental breakfast. Amenities cost which isn't included in the room fees or anywhere else for that matter so it was a complete surprise and inconvenience.
Located in downtown Seattle and just a short walk away from dozens of attractions is The Maxwell House. Just a short drive away is the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and the Link light rail provides transportation throughout the city. Taxies and ride-shares are efficient and abundant around the hotel.
There are several amenities offered including complimentary WiFi and many rooms are pet-friendly. Indulge in European style bedding, an in-room Keurig and an indoor pool available year round, and a fitness center featuring both cardio equipment and free weights. Enjoy a happy hour in the lobby with fresh coffee and fresh pineapple cupcakes.
Begin the morning with a shot of espresso or hot latte at the Pineapple Bistro and Bar and grab a quick snack from the fruit case or a sandwich to go. Stop at the Pineapple Bistro and Bar for fresh brick oven pizza, or socialize with a mac, and cheese bar offering a selection of toppings and handcrafted cocktails. Explore beyond the hotel and indulge at several restaurants including Bakery Nouveau for double-baked almond croissants and small bite sandwiches.
Visit the Queen Ann Hill neighborhood just steps away from the hotel and tour the Space Needle for an unobstructed, panoramic view of downtown Seattle. Catch a fish and try fresh clam chowder at the Pike Place Market and make a visit to the Chihuly Garden and Glass for hand blown works of glass by Dale Chihuly. Delight in everything the city of Seattle has to offer and book a stay at The Maxwell House Hotel.
