10.0 Excellent
Pros: Joanne and her husband Murray were perfect hosts! The room was amazing, very well equipped and with a personal terrace. The area was very safe. The big terrace for all with the pool had a great view on the false bay. The breakfast was excellent, all our wishes were fulfilled. I would recommend everybody a stay at 43 On Sandstone if you'are in the area!
Cons: Everything was perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a little gem situated on a lovely quiet eco estate. The style and layout of this B&B is quite lovely. The thatched room adds to the ambience along with the large african stoop with a beautiful pool (crystal clear) and enviable views across the bay. We loved our stay. Hosts Murray and Joanne and their long standing team are quite simply outstanding. Breakfast was homely and perfectly cooked. Bed was big and comfy, we had one of the lower rooms with a little patio to sit out and have a sundowner. The room is equipped with lots of little extras like microwave , kettle and all the condiments you need, tea and coffee etc. We even ordered a takeaway in one night which arrived faultlessly. Within easy reach of lots of places to eat, we found an uber driver to take us out in an evening so able to relax perfectly without having to worry about driving home. Murray was AWESOME with all his tips for places to eat, every one of the hit the mark and he helped us navigate some of the more unusual vineyards. He helped to create memorable moments for us. Nothing is too much trouble for Murray and Joanne. We would not hesitate to recommend, their B&B goes like a fare! And they deserve all the accolades they get from all their guests. A wonderful stay with wonderful hosts. Thank you - Heather and Alex
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely big room with super comfy bed. Huge bathroom. Warm swimming pool and the most delightful hosts.
Cons: Nothing.
6.7 Good
Pros: A lovely place if you want to do nothing but have a suntan and cool in a swimming pool. You need a car or Uber to get somewhere. Very remote from everything. Rooms are very well equipped. You have your own garden and kitchenette. Spacious Living. Pool with a great view.
Cons: But the most important thing about a B&B are the hosts. As a guest you like to be welcome. We were welcomed very kind by a servant. She supplied us with nice cold water and icecubes. Later the owner came, he did not introduce himself. But he spoke in an angry voice to me about something I did not even do. I did not know who he was. What he meant and why he talked in an angry voice to me. This spoilt my experience and was more important to me than a clean bathroom or beautiful view. I felt embarrassed. No kind words after this experience changed my mood. I was glad we could leave.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room (we had Bedroom 1) was superb. Opening out onto its own private decking and lawn overlooking False Bay and Table Mountain. But also with close up fynbos vegetation and birds just right there. Incredible and so peaceful. Gorgeous, tasteful, luxurious but understated in a 'not trying too hard' interior decor. Also attention to detail like picnic hamper with cool bag, beach sarongs and umbrella, beach chairs, toiletries - honestly you will wish you had more days to use it all! The clever kitchenette in a cupboard is such an unusual bonus, we used it lots for evening microwave meals, ice and cool tonic and beers in fridge really such a great touch. You can last the day happily as we did on their delicious and substantial breakfast and not need another meal until later. Just around the corner is a super useful and high quality small shopping centre which we frequented for food, ATM, drinks and chemist. Nothing you cannot find there that you might need. Bifold doors on the bedroom I don't remember reading about and believe me, lying in bed with a full view of False Bay is incredible. Likewise the sunset and view from your own garden but most impressively the full decking/pool area above. The photos don't really do it justice, it simply is breathtaking. You do not feel like you're intruding being in the main house/living area/pool deck area either it's truly a home from home from the warm welcome you receive the minute you arrive, fully encouraged in fact. The house (stunning/unique - you'll want to live here) and panoramic views are reason enough to enjoy this all but the hosts, Joanne and Murray, are wonderfully warm people who get the balance just right between sharing their local knowledge and leaving you to discover this wonderful part of the world for yourselves. A final point to note - the property is on an Eco Estate with great hikes easily found and this was a feature easily enjoyed which you simply must...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view and private garden and patio attached to the room. You are able to sleep with the doors wide open to the quietness of the fynbos estate the guesthouse resides in. The rooms are sound proofed and you do not hear anyone.
Cons: It would have been nice to be informed on arrival that refreshments are catered for. I only found out the next morning when going through the guest book. A sundowner on the deck or in the pool would have been fabulous after a long busy day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful view throught. Friendly staff and owners Delicious breakfast
Cons: Our room smelt damp, The kitchen appliances was abit dirty

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful peaceful outside space, very clean and well equipped room, good breakfast
Cons: The three rooms are located on a small corridor and unfortunately walls are thin, so it can be very loud when other guest and staff are in the corridors/going in and out of rooms/using their shower. The views make up for this though.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The villas are spacious and modern with a beautiful view. Bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen are well equipped. The estate is quiet and elegantly groomed.
Cons: Very few things to criticize. Perhaps a little more attention is required by housekeeping. Some of the lights and remotes did not work.
5.0 Okay
Pros: We loved the location and the house
Cons: Breakfast and waiters
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the location is absolutely stunning, specially when you have breakfast in the garden or when you are enjoying the pool. The room was very comfortable, ours even had an outside shower. Breakfast was delicious.
Cons: Breakfast was delicious but also a bit messy, the fresh fruit would run out quickly and you would have to request it to be refilled. The cooked breakfast was prepared in a small kitchen which lead to some delays if more guests would have breakfast at the same time. We also had to improvise with the warm water, it seemed like you had to turn on the warm water in the sink to get warm water in the shower. Once you figure that out it works fine though :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were treated to a fantastic 2-day stay at Spanish Farm with it's stunning view of Somerset West and part of False Bay. The staff was extremely helpful and enjoying the vast breakfast fruit selection whilst seated outside on the grass was the highlight for me.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect, near good restaurants such as Waterkloof. Friendly staff, beautiful Vilas with stunning views, and a nice garden. Just all you need.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The private Jacquzzi. The views. Yolandi the manager was exceptional.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: we enjoyed the breakfast and enjoyed the personalized treatment. while on vacation we had seen another couple quite upset at the team and suggested the breakfast offering was inadequate, i wouldn't agree with this . We had sufficient fresh berries, sliced fruit, fresh yoghurt, fresh juices , water, three cereal offerings, milk options, toast options, cold cuts of meat, pastry and a fixed hot breakfast menu to choose from with coffee and tea options. This was more than enough food to choose from and all offerings were healthy, freshly prepared and presented well. we liked this service because it felt personalized and didn't feel like the commercial hotels with massive buffet breakfast set ups - with hot counters making you feel like live stock. the villa's are well placed. a quick drive to the vineyards and cape town central set on hill top with great views. We had a rental car so it was very easy to get around. it was safe and we had parking close to the villa. On site they have a walking trail and fully fitted gym we used and loved. We would like to thank the team for making us feel at home on holiday and we look forward to visiting you all again. best wishes Ashika ally
Cons: nothing really... i guess with two women sharing a room, perhaps a larger room with all our suitcases, but we had were still comfortable and didn't mind making do.

Pros: Our hosts Claudia and Marc were most welcoming and helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations
Cons: A few more sun loungers around the pool would have been nice. The luxury doubles on the partially covered terrace were lovely but we didn’t want a stripey tan
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Claudia was a wonderful host so enthusiastic, informative and nothing was too much effort. Our room and indeed the whole property was immaculate. Communal areas ie swimming pool, seating outdoors were fantastic with an honesty bar and indoor seating area. Breakfast cooked by Marc was excellent and indeed everything for all tastes was catered for. Cons: Nothing of consequence.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room and view lovely , towels were very rough to the touch. Cooked breakfast was only eggs and bacon not a full English, but was very nice and their were all the usual cereals and fruit to help yourself too. We only stayed 2 nights at the end of our holiday would of maybe have liked to stay longer to have made more of the place as our room had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool.
Cons: On arrival felt we could have been welcomed better (Mark) , we had had to press the intercom 3 times before any response, we weren't shown where the air conditioning remote was and how it worked. We went to make a cup of tea and the milk was off, my husband had difficulty finding the host and getting more fresh milk. Had a better welcome in the morning at breakfast from Claudia.

Pros: We were treated to a fantastic 2-day stay at Spanish Farm with it's stunning view of Somerset West and part of False Bay. The staff was extremely helpful and enjoying the vast breakfast fruit selection whilst seated outside on the grass was the highlight for me.

Pros: Location is perfect, near good restaurants such as Waterkloof. Friendly staff, beautiful Vilas with stunning views, and a nice garden. Just all you need.
