It is very close to the station, the staff were very helpful and we had a great breakfast. The sauna in our room was an unusual plus.

Pros (+) Great location, if you're using the train. And even if not, the station is full of useful shops, and the hotel is in the middle of Hamburg. There's nice art all over the hotel.
Cons (-) WiFi was very dodgy. No silly games trying to limit connectivity, but the internet connection was sometimes very fast then, a few minutes later, very slow. The rooms are all underground! So no views. I didn't mind this, and found it very interesting, but other may hate it. Room design is very much appearance over function. Pros (+) Location is fantastic, so close to old town, quality shopping, and best of all the bus and train stations. Breakfast was impressive, wide variety of hot and cold food and beverages.
Cons (-) The room is simple, which is not a negative since they make that clear during the booking process. My room was small with no windows but it had all that I needed and was very clean.
