Free wifi, comfy bed, decent shower. Convenient and free parking, close to some great restaurants. Crap TV channels, no on site food/beverage services, small room, overpriced, horrible breakfast, construction on my outside wall early morning,
Much of the property is under construction...plastic and sawdust everywhere, and workers start very early in the morning. If this was disclosed during booking it would have helped set my expectations of the place. The shower handle was broken off and there was hair in the drain. They are clearly focused on the renovation, not their current guests.
Chintzy Internet that requires reauthenticating every day. Location is not convenient to highways.
Despite being in an outer corner room on a very busy intersection, it was extremely quite in our room. We did hear sirens a few times but nothing too bad. Our room was very clean and comfortable with pleasant decor. The breakfast was plenitful and with a fair amount of options. The bed and pillows were both very comfortable. We have stayed here before and would definitely stay again as well as recommend it. Only a slight nit pick, but I would suggest maybe updating the down comforter in the room we stayed (3257) or others possibly. Ours definitely had seen better days and was a lot more worn out than what I would expect from a Joie de Vivre hotel. Do something to fill the gap at the bottom of the door to the room, it's too big allowing air come in and a bit of noise from the hallway.
Little touches like pool towel service (soft rich absorbent!) and text confirmations. Not really a high end or charming boutique hotel, just a well run chain.
Central location, good parking A little noisy (room was near the pool). Blinds did not close properly and there was landscape lighting outside
Good breakfast, nice room, good location for us.
There are great people working at Wild Palms Hotel!
The room was large and well equipped with a flat panel TV, DVD player, frig, microwave and coffe pot. The bed was a pillow top bed with four pillows. Also, the breakfast included eggs, a meat, bagels, toast, muffins and of course cereals. Nothing
It's nice to have breakfast included. Premium cable tv. We stayed right next to the ice machine. Not fun to wake up to that. Ask to be a little further. Tables in dining room were very squished together. Breakfast ended at 9:30am. Maybe they should extend it til at least 10:30. Possibly 11. I wouldn't stay here more than 2 nights. Very basic.
The staff was great, the facility was very clean, and the location was awesome close to everything. I enjoyed check in and late check out. The staff bent over backwards to make my stay wonderful including letting me get juice after breakfast when I turned in my key and not saying anything when I checked out 20 minutes late. Well done to the management I would give you 10 stars if I could. Please do not change anything except maybe extend breakfast.
Toilet ran 24/7, staff was oblivious while CA was in a severe drought. Toilet clogged, staff gave me a plunger to fit it myself. Dresser drawer would not stay closed, staff was oblivious. TV did not work during 1/2 of stay, received only 1/2 of the adjustment I was told I was getting. Staff was unable to make any decisions without management. Way overpriced for amenities offered!
It was quiet, clean and updated. No complaints Close to what my needs were. Room didn't have a view a little small but fine for me alone.
On the bottom floor closest to the entry door, was pretty loud. Should have asked for room move options. The sink is not in the bathroom. The HVAC system looks pretty old and was kinda loud. Other than that, a typical inexpensive hotel room. Wasn't going for a luxury stay, just a place to crash.
Location and Bed
Cleanliness was average, but I did check around for bed bugs just in case. The outside was dirty and dated and made me nervous to sleep there-- wouldn't come back here even for the price.
Location was great and bed was clean and comfortable. Paid for a room with whirlpool, water went from brown to green. So lovely! Complained to front desk and they pretended that they didn't know about it, when there where clear signs of maintenance in the room. I was just told that I had already paid and that I was good to go. Also didn't appreciate the meddling Indian guy at front desk, asking me where I work and what I was doing there, where I was coming from. Horrible. Looks outdated from outside. Quite loud.
perfect for business stays
Very nice and well equipped appartments, good price, good location, free underground parking
i liked the independent nature of the inn - you could go directly to your room from the garage, rather than going through the lobby. great breakfast, happy hour, and snacks at front desk upon arrival. great housekeeping staff and nice touches in the room - i.e., bottle of water and premium chocolates to say hello. i liked the clearly clean, shrink-wrapped dishes, glasses, cutlery. centrally located - near a shopping center to get groceries and manicures, etc. i will definitely stay here again.
Breakfast. ..nice bed Unable to watch playoff baseball in my room...
Breakfast was good and location was great to access Levi's Stadium. Our room was very noisy. We could hear every time a toilet flushed next door and lots of noise from the hallway. Tough to get a good night's sleep.
The breakfast buffet was the highlight of our stay in this hotel. Variety of food was good. There was a bad smell in the hallway.
Nice failities Needs a hot tub/pool
Friendliness and helpfullness of front desk. Housekeeping did not show up 2 of 4 days, even with complaints. I notified them that I would be out of the room from 6am until noon while I had dialysis and would need to sleep all Wednesday and Friday afternoons. No action, not even clean towels!
big noise in the bathroom
Ease of access close to shops & restaurants Don't expect to sleep much at night! The Heating/AC unit in all the rooms are so noisy that, not only was I waken up by the one in my room each time it started, but also when the units in the rooms on either side started as well. For the price, it is very disappointing.
Hotel looks great when you walk in. Very friendly staff. Parking available in basement garage which was perfect considering it rained the day I checked out - stayed dry. Room was clean, bathroom was clean. Excellent king size bed. Just the right amount of stiffness. Comforter was cozy. Hotel is on a three lane one way street. Meaning you have to make a u-turn when you want to get back to the freeway. And Sunnyvale lights aren't time-generous with turning light signals. Be prepared to wait a few turns before making that U-turn. Wished the bar was open later than 12am. Caught a Sharks game, grabbed a bite afterwards, came back to the hotel for drinks and the bar was closed. Very disappointing. Room had a stereo alarm with a dated iPhone 4 dock. Did have an auxiliary port though. Pillows are waaaay too soft. Room was located on the main floor. Not as convenient as you'd think if you like privacy. BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: BREAKFAST IS NOT FREE. Over $8 for the standard continental and over $16 for the full breakfast bar - PER PERSON. Billable to your room of course. Still very displeasing. Settled for some subway down the street - $17 for two mouths. You do the math.
Excellent bed, friendly staff who also gave us traffic update Shower was either scalding or freezing, mostly freezing. Thought breakfast was included, but it was $12.95. Paid $17 for 3 incinerated taquitos and an iced tea for dinner.
I stay at the Maple Tree Inn when I visit my son and his wife in Sunnyvale. The staff is so pleasant and helpful. I feel right at home in the lobby. The room is clean with all the amenities. The breakfast is wonderful. I would like to have access to the newspaper.
location breakfast was to say the least was werid
Staff are very courteous. Top of the line toiletries - comparable to 5 starts deluxe. Room, and common areas are sufficiently clean. Nice breakfast included. Nice social/dining room. Address on the internet fail to state that it is on "East" El Camino Real, and since there's a "West" El Camino Real, it's makes it difficult to find. Room and furnishing, while adequately & functional, is rather aged, and "country inn" like. No flat screen TV.
Our room was very quiet and comfortable.
Terrific and diverse breakfast compared to other hotels at this level. Very quiet. Upscale deco and room appointments, but functional. Particularly like that the room was reader and personal electronics-centric, with nice built-in AC outlets on both sides of the bed stand in addition to adjustable reading lights on the outside of each bed's headboard, so that the person sleeping on the outside to the center lamp could also have light to read or whatever without having to employ a headlamp. Very nice upscale shower and bathroom with the minor caveat listed in critiques. Green flush options always nice to see. Adjusting the shower head away from yourself while the water heats up was a a little less than optimal and would have been impossible from anyone much shorter than about 5'4" (average height for American women). The valve that switches the water from the main head to the handheld head was way up there out of obvious view.
Comfortable bed, quiet heating/cooling system. Internet stalled occasionally. Freezer portion of refrigerator barely worked and needed defrosting. Highway access mediocre. Only one treadmill. Closed captioning on television did not work.
Breakfast was a typical buffet for this class of hotel with cold and hot foods that met my needs. Quick check-in and check-out Good value for the price Booked two rooms online but the rooms were charged different rates. The manager on watch could not correct the charge. The Front Desk immediately corrected the charge the next morning. Room was dim especially by the desk. The desk lamp was too focused. Needed a broader beamed lamp by the desk. Did not have an easy chair to watch TV. Watched from the bed.
I was too cold at night, needed a better balanket...
freandly personal. good location convinuse parking and reasanable budget.
the bed is comfortable
There is no hot water until the second day .......
Convenient location and much more economical than the Hyatt for doing something at the Santa Clara Convention Center It wasn't in the same class as the Hyatt, but was good value.
The cost-effectiveness of the place. Fairly decent facilities at fair prices.
I thought that the breakfast was presented nicely. I didn't like the parking situation. would prefer an assigned parking space to go with the room.
Excellent value and location if you are working around the convention center or any of the businesses close to it. Great breakfast for a hotel at this price in Silicon Valley.
Waiting time at the lobby was 45 minutes to check in. rest room were not to clean
Bathroom was very dirty. Doors are outside (motel style). Next to freeway. Not walkable.
good location to Standford there were big cockroaches that came in the room and no one seemed to care as I reported it several times - the door jam needs to be fixed (room 115) and it looks like other doors too. The air conditioner wouldn't keep the room cool - it would run loudly then stop and the room would get warm.
It was conveniently located. It was not clean or modern by any means. Coffee was not good.
Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Facility was clean and pretty well maintained. Told hotel staff that both buttons on the heater/air conditioner in my room were broken, which meant I couldn't get heat because I was unable to close the vent. They assured me that they would have maintenance take a look at it.
Location, price, bed was excellent Breakfast was not good
Location is really good. Close to 101 and Lawrence in the heart of silicon valley 6 cars got broken into the one night around 10PM when I was there. this happened right outside my room. Turns out they didnt have any security at that time. While inquiring at the front desk, I had a chance to meet the "security guy" who IMO had no skillset to be security. management spoke very poor english. Seemed to be run by mom and pop owners.
Good sized room. Firm mattress. Hot water without a wait. Good breakfast buffet. The shower head was very low on the wall.
Andy the concierge took care of us like an old friend.
Clean. Comfortable beds. Great shower. Friendly helpful staff.
It's a good hotel with all the facilities you need, conveniently positioned across the road from the Hyatt convention center. No free WiFi, which for the price of the room, I would have expected.
Helpful and friendly staff who keep up with the demands and requests of the guest. Also, a very quiet and clean space that allowed us to get our rest.
Everything was great Everything was good all people there are helpful
The restaurant had very high quality food for the price and the bar was elegant and very accessible. Need to have FREE wifi in the rooms! This is 2015 AND the hotel is in the heart of silicone valley. For shame! Hilton
Great location and amazing hotel. The amenities were good as well. The rio was a nice size and I had a view of Levi Stadium. When I came back to the hotel at about 11pm there were no parking places. I believe outsiders were at the bar or guests had their friends visiting. When you are paying for a hotel room it's annoying not being able to park in the parking lot.
friendly front desk guy, clean restroom, clean carpet floor...you have a fridge,tv,desk, private restroom, shower, plenty of towels, shampoo and soap
I liked how quickly they responded when the shower head in my bathroom did not produce enough water flow when taking a shower. I brought the issue to their attention in the morning, and by the early evening when I returned to my room they installed a brand new shower head that works excellent. They really wanted to please! I wish they had a bigger breakfast.
We visited the local town which was very close. We had and excellent dinner with a local band playing. The motel was very quiet and next door to a Denny's. The town had a lot of cool shade trees which was a comfort from our hectic drive. We will definately stay the next time we visit San Francisco. We were only 30 minutes from San Francisco. No parking fees at our motel.
This has a motel feel.
Close to historic downtown. Rooms need upgraded .. Ceilings stained .. Tub was old and peeling. Old style TV
Bed was comfortable, clean. Pretty much everything else. For #170/night I would hope for a whole lot more. 'Breakfast' was particularly disappointing. Building shook anytime anybody ran up/down stairs.
Efficient and welcoming staff, fully equipped rooms, easy to get to, very good value for the price.
Room was clean, staff was able to satisfy request for location on ground floor. Continental breakfast was a joke. But Denny's gives 10% off. Tub is worn, but shower worked fine.
affordable, fast free wlan, cable tv, affordable diners/restaurants nearby
I like how the beds are big and the rooms are comfy. Very clean
It was very close to 49er stadium. There was no bar on site. The bar was about a half mile from the location of the room. We had to literally break the door down to get into the room. After getting our room key and not being able to get in we went to the front desk and the lady said to ram the door with our shoulder. we went to her a second time with the same problem. she finally came out and tried to get inside but could not. after about four tries we finally were able to get into the room but it broke the latch off the door making it easily accessible for anyone to get in if they wanted too...Overall not a bad place to stay but I would not recommend just because of the overall experience at that location...very poor customer service.
The Motel staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and reasonably quiet. Rooms recently refurbished. A longish walk to decent restaurants but no problem with a car.
The feel of a home or apartment..did not want to leave simply amazing...the breakfast was by Far above and beyond my expectations. 10 rating Is simply an insult to the establishment. That we couldn't live there.

I stay there every 3 months. Always nice and clean. Once they had overbooked and sent me to nearby property of their's on Lakeside.
Every Residence Inn that I have stayed at over the past eight years has been a pleasure. The Silicon Valley II is no exception. Clean rooms, nice public spaces - inside and outside - and very friendly and helpful staff. Doen't get better than this. My room key failed several times in a row on the first evening of my stay. Of course, my hands were full, I was tired and ended up frustrated. Pretty minor, but not at that particular moment!

location, quality of room decor paying for daily parking. low speed internet.
Close to the freeway is a real plus. It is an older hotel, so does not offer some of the upgrades that you can find at newer Inns. Over all it was a very pleasant place to stay, the staff was very nice and helpful. The grounds are well maintained. The breakfast assortment was very tasty. I would stay here again.
Clean, Pleasant Stay. Enjoyed the stay. Was able to get my bookings faster late night without any hassle.
The room was clean, and comfortable, but careful because they can assign you a room in the second floor and they don't have elevators, just be aware in case you have a heavy luggage.
they have the latest equipment, complimentary earplugs for the tv/radio features on the equipment, water, hot towels, free weights & cardio equipment.
The only bad thing about it is that I stayed there for one night only. Staff is great. I got a great room for $70 all fees included!!! I will stay at this hotel next time i flight down to san jose.
This was hands down the worst experience I have ever had with customer service. This includes with internet, phone, insurance, banking, all the difficult customer service companies. I am usually faithful to Sheraton hotels, but this experience with the most unbelievably rude front desk attendant, has left me feeling personally insulted. This man, the Guest Services Attendant, spoke with the most patronizing and condescending tone. I will never forget my experience with this Sheraton and it has undoubtedly left me reconsidering my hotel choices, to the point that I will NEVER stay at a Sheraton hotel again.
Excellent stay! Waiting for our house to close, we stayed for 20+ days. Everyone knew us by name, Gabriella, in the club lounge was fantastic, she remembered our drinks and that my son loves apple juice and grapes, Gabrielle was excellent, she went the extra mile to accommodate us, even getting salsa from the restaurant for me!! House keeping was not up to par, twice our room was forgotten and the job was quick and sloppy. When Andrea cleaned our room she did a fantastic job. The pool and hot tub were clean and fantastic, we spent a lot of time there, and it wasn't busy during the day, which suited us. I was impressed with the grounds people, they were always cleaning and even dusting down the outside lights, very well maintained and everyone was very polite.
Wonderful rooms with great beds, great staff, only downside was no free internet.
Went to watch niner game the tv was blurry in rooms they upgraded us to a club room with free drinks and snacks very yummy. Unfortunately the deposit they said they released weeks ago was never properly lifted even after to speaking to the hotel who said they released hold had to dispute the charge with my bank :/ not cool but very clean and nice otherwise.
Stayed two nights. Greeted by a very friendly front desk clerk; who asked our preference for room location. Room was nice, clean and very comfortable. Hotel grounds were beautiful. Pool was nice. The only downside was internet access which did not work. We were told it was free in the lobby and at the pool area but free wireless access was non-exsistent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon returning to the room after a day of sight seeing we noticed we were only given one clean bath towel. Staff was very apoligetic and provided us with four additional towels.
Although this hotel is right under a busy highway, the staff was nice, always greeted me with a smile. The rooms are a little small and because its a 4 star hotel everything thats put in place for your convience cost an arm and a leg, so if your on a budge be sure to have with you the things you need. The pool was large and I believe heated which was a pleasant surprise. Overall appearance was up to standard with the star level and in gerneral is a nice hotel. Housekeeping staff did not rush to get you out has soon as it was noon. Honestly I dont think they bugged us one time. We had a confirmed late check-out with the front desk, that was passed along to housekeeping. A lot of the time housekeeping can get somewhat intrusive once the check-out time as past. It was nice that they had got the message regarding our late check-out and we werent bothered. Would I return to this hotel? Yes in a heart beat and I will definitly be recommending this to friends and family as an overall nice exp...
this hotel made me feel comfortable and welcome. staffs are nice and curtesy.
Gave the hotel an overall four rating because it is closer to a four than a three. However, I have stayed at other four-rated hotels in the same price range, and they were nicer than this property. No free Internet, not a 'destination,' but able to readily access other nearby places.
The staff gave us service that was beyond expected
Breakfast Access was great, and good selection of breakfast choices Had bugs in restroom, & few bugs on TOWELS. And the front a Desk Staffs were so RUDE
Staff was friendly. Location good. Facilities run down. TV didn't work.
Room was big and clean. Shower was hot. Good for my one night stay. Right off the 101 so good and bad. Can hear the highway and a hassle to get to. Cleaning lady did walk in on me with out knocking but apologized. Other wise no complaints.
Nothing I was awakened at 3:00 a.m. by a mouse rummaging in a sack on the dresser. I was alarmed and tried to gently poke the bag, not sure what was causing it, until I saw the mouse jump out and run down the back of the dresser. At that hour of the night I had choice but to move to another room. The next morning I asked for my money back. Management was not willing to refund it. If a mouse in the room isn't reason enough to give customer a refund, what is? Hotel staff were unsympathetic and condescending. Deplorable. I question that Day's Inn allows this place to belong to the franchise. Do they have no minimum standards?
Easy to check in, rooms were clean, plenty of pillows to go around. Good enough for the price. WiFi had inconsistent ping, AC was very loud, no free power outlets next to bed.
1) Room was nice 2) Bed and pillows were very comfortable 3) Friendly front desk personnel 1) Breakfast could have used a little more variety 2) Group of 'kids' hanging out in the parking lot on Friday night playing music fairly loud out of their vehicle. 3) Cleaning crew didn't clean my room 2 of 5 days
The location was good and the inside of the room was much better than you would think from the outside. There is a clean pool. The building looks old and the fact that your door open to a parking lot is not so appealing. Breakfast was free and you get what you pay for...
Spacious room, free wifi, mini-fridge in the room is a nice bonus. Bed was not comfortable. Lack of carpeting in the room was a bit strange.
Location. Price. WiFi wasn't great. TV didn't have most channels. Noisy AC. Staff barely pleasant - in front desk.
The front desk staff was very rude ! It was a old guy asking strange questions. We won't chose this hotel next time.
The room was big and it looks like they take care of their rooms Everything was perfect for one night
I like the location, it is near the castro street, makes us easy to get food and other things. The room facility is complete also and the room is clean. Better to change the lotion with the better fragrance and add HBO in the TV schedule.
Convinient Location for my business
It was very clean and comfortable
I checked in at 6pm and it took 15 minutes before someone came to the desk. Advertised a continental breakfast which included coffee and juice only.
Simple and comfortable Lack of hotel staff attentiveness. Breakfast was never ready at the time advertised.
Nothing in particular. It was fairly ok....
Traffic-favorably situated hotel, clean room, very friendly staff. The "Castro", a street with dozens of restaurants, bars, coffeeshops etc. just a walk away. Ideal starting point to explore the surrounding cities.
The fact that this location is in a commercial area, it made our weekend sleep nice and peaceful without any noise from cars or trucks. Bathroom curtain rod was broken. Black residue with the appearance of mold on the bathroom ceiling. Iron leaked. No one showed up to tidy up the room. No sheet for the fold out sofa bed.
