Pros: From the moment we arrived, we were treated like valued guests and shown true hospitality. A welcome pot of tea with home-made cake in the guest lounge, aside an open fire. Our room was beautiful, with very comfortable beds, home made biscuits, a tea & coffee station. The breakfast was amazing with homemade bread & jam and of course a beautifully cooked full English with quality ingredients. My hat goes off to our hosts Joanne & David who made us feel completely at home and as though nothing would have been too much. This is the stuff all UK B&B's should be made of!

Pros: Room was nice and the location of the hotel was great. Beds were very comfortable.
Cons: The air con in the room didn’t seem to make the room very cool. Staff at breakfast were talking bad about guests (did leave this on a feedback form at the hotel) didn’t think it was professional at all. We had very noisy neighbours and there was a wedding on both nights of our stay. Parking was limited.

Pros: Room was nice, clean and spacious. Some times do need replacing for example cracked television screen. 1851 restaurant served good quality food for the price, good service and ambience.
Cons: Brasserie service ok but not fantastic, food though very good. Breakfast food again good but service delivery appalling, had to ask for our breakfast table to be cleaned and request teas and coffee twice before finally arriving 10 minutes later, few people in same position. Complained at checkout about this as spoiled the overall break away, man on reception apologised but was clearly not that bothered, Shane overall the place for the rate could compete with other places but needs a stronger management approach and I see sight of its delivery

Cons: Bathroom! Shower very hard to get started and when it was on water was scalding and couldn’t amend it making it unusable. Toilet seat broken off so slid everywhere. No full-length mirror. Very dark room as only 1 porthole window which was high so not letting much natural light in. Spoke to staff re shower and toilet and got a very lacklustre ‘will mention it to manager’ response. No offer of any discount/refund. Even offering to pay for 1 of the 4 breakfasts we bought would have eased the disappointment.

Cons: Bedroom was a bit dated black mould around edge of bath
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent old coach house, lots of atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean though a little small. Lovely old traditional setting. Good range of real ales. Decent prices too. Had the burger, one of the tastiest burgers I have eaten! Wife had the oven cooked sea bass and it was a good size so no complaints on the catering. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Prefer room inside the hotel not in the coach house annexe. Did not like the coffee!. Far too weak, life is too short for weak coffee!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room, bed, food and facilities excellent. Had a really good stay. Will be back next year on our anniversary. Thanks.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very responsive in providing a breakfast tailored to needs (and hurry). Good choice of fruit juices. Very good quality sandwich provided in the evening. Location and free parking are distinct benefits if doing work in Ellesmere Port. Staff were friendly and responsive. Very good smart TV. Despite some misgivings, I kind of like this place and the people int it.
Cons: No lift apparently available. Being partially disabled this gave me a small but surmountable problem. Took me a long time to find a room number which didn't actually exist. Not a big issue but this isn't the first time this has happened here. Wireless code provided was incorrect. Even when corrected I could not use the wireless connection. Overall. a bit scruffy - wallpaper and paintwork - but given the price why would one complain?
9.6 Excellent

9.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the ‘Mr & Mrs’ plate left in our room to celebrate our first valentines. The bed was so super comfy and the breakfast was delicious.
Cons: The only thing we noticed were some cobwebs in the bathroom.
7.0 Good
Pros: Large rooms, powerful shower and quiet area, set back from main road. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Nice grounds.
Cons: There’s a time restriction of when kids can use the swimming pool 9-11am and 3-6pm. Shower screen seal is loose, so bathroom floor gets flooded easily.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. Quality of the food was good and the option for breakfast in bed (£5 extra) was available. We didn't eat in the restaurant as the menu seemed a little plain and there was a great selection of restaurants near by.
Cons: The spa did not provide robes/slippers to those guests who were not have treatments. The spa café seemed understaffed as there was only one person serving and she had to keep going between the spa and the hotel to get food to serve.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pool complex was lovely, quiet, clean, friendly staff. Hotel was clean, welcoming staff, breakfast amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Price, quality of room, facilities. Breakfast was excellent.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.
6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast in bed was very good first morning, average second two mornings, items short and hot item was only warm
Cons: Bathroom in need of TLC, wc--very noisy flush, wash basin slow to empty, bedroom was clean but now dated. No ties for bath robes, advised they would be come, did not, asked again, told to get our own from the spa!, spoke to housekeeping lady before the room was cleaned and new robes were given.
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything is clean and staff hardworking.
Cons: The food was not up to scratch last nite , it has been previously.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent room. Excellent breakfast. Spa facilities were great as were the staff.
Cons: Food in the spa was dreadful, expensive, late in arriving and many of the items on the small menu not available, and too few staff. Evening meal too expensive for what it was and, again, too few staff. The lovely lady who was in charge of the restaurant was doing everything.

7.0 Good
Pros: Very comfy beds
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room temperature was not too hot as in many hotel rooms. Wifi signal was also good; sometimes this is not the case in other hotels and a drop in service can be irritating.
Cons: Metal bath edge was chipped & rusting. Other than that there was nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was amazing.... perfect for my needs
7.1 Good
Pros: Comfy beds
Cons: Very hot room when we got there
5.0 Okay
Pros: Had some issues with the booking and reception staff was very helpful and efficient at resolving them
Cons: Lights in rooms were not working, shower was not quite working properly (no hot water via shower head).
5.0 Okay
Pros: Freshly cooked breakfast and pleasant staff. Approachable reception staff.
4.0 Okay
Cons: Lift didn't work and as we had some older people in our company this made it a little difficult. Some of the lights in the room didn't work which made it difficult to get ready. Lack of staffing. Had to go on the hunt for staff when I wanted to order a drink and bar snacks. The heat in the function room was absolutely ridiculous and when mentioned to the manager he totally dismissed us, a very arrogant small man.
