I got the vechile with low fuel, I was expected to fuel the tank to drive it, then bring it back with a full tank. Gotta love it l, paying for someone else's gas. Be prepared at this location for that to happen.Reviewed 28 Jan 2026

We reserved a car twice through Thrifty at the Montevideo airport. The first time they responded that they couldn't fulfill our reservation. Then we saw availability again, and reserved again. This time no reply, but we called to confirm with them a few days later. They said they did not have any cars available and could not fulfill our request. Instead of blocking the security deposit amount on my credit card, like everyone else does, they made a payment equal to the security deposit and then, sometime after I returned the car, processed a refund. Was charged $20 extra to have snow tires which is ridiculous. Ordered an suv and was given the smallest one possible. Didn’t qualify as a sub for my family of 4. So small we couldn’t fit our luggage in. I will do my best to choose another company as Thriftys sizing of their cars is not normal .Reviewed 1 Jan 2026
