Guests consistently praised the hotel's excellent location near public transit, restaurants, and attractions, making it convenient for exploring Toronto. The staff received positive remarks for being friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Many guests appreciated the charming, historic atmosphere and found the rooms clean and comfortable. However, several reviews mentioned significant noise from the nearby pub and fraternity houses, especially at night, and some guests experienced issues with air conditioning, WiFi, and room maintenance. Despite these drawbacks, the overall sentiment was positive, especially regarding location and service.
