Too much of a business hotel. Noone to help with bags to second floor and there was no elevator.
The restaurant was good, with good food and good staff, who on the whole were happy to speak (very good) English. We had to change rooms twice upon arrival, as the toilets in the first two rooms had glass doors - although they were slightly frosted, there was no privacy at all.
Staff was very helpfull and friendly. The hotel is good located, only a 3-minutes walk from next underground-station. The room was pretty small, but modernly furnished and renovated. There's only one elevator in the whole hotel, what made people queue. Although breakfast was good it wasn't as rich as in other 4* hotels I stayed in Munich. Covered parking was an adventure in itself, although we drove a cabrio parking space was really small (don't try it with a jeep!).
Great room & hotel. Like most European hotels, the bathroom was small.
My friends and I were given rooms in a separate building with no lift. Nobody could help us carrying the luggage to the second floor. Rooms and bathrooms were very small. The design is very nice but comfort does not correspond to a four stars hotel.
Fantastic location. Modern hotel with a great breakfast. Parking is a pain, but everything else excellent the parking was not easy to find, and the shower and bathroom was very small.
Staff very helpfull. Room and bathroom very crampt for this category of holel. To reach some of the rooms you have to get outside of the mai building, and carry your suitcases through the stairs. During the night there was an annoing buzzing sound of some hotel machinery.
Wireless access free room too small
Great breakfast. Free use of gym was a nice touch along with the complimentary mini bar in the superior room. Good transport links. The staff were excellent, really went of their way for us, even letting us check in 3 hours early. A special mention should be made for Sebastian, who helped me sort out gig tickets for the 10 of us while there. A few of the lads found the glass bathrooms challenging to their English mentality. Personally a softer toilet roll would have been nice but overall it's hard to fault the place.
Location, relaxed atmosphere, breakfast tiny room
Very friendly and helpful staff, clean room, good location. Nice breakfast. Room a bit small, air conditioning not too efficient.
so quiet and comfortable
i liked how personable all the staff were at the hotel. they were so helpful with anything and everything wo needed or any questions we had the breakfast is very good. the hotel is conveneniet to public transportation and restaraunts. the area is very quiet and so nice the room was small but we had everything we needed.
The very best part is the personal service offered by Sebastian and Alexandra. This is an excellent hotel for Americans to stay in.
The attentive and helpful service from the owner Sebastian. The wide range of breakfast choice. The quiet neighbourhood and proximity to both the Nyphenburg park and public transport. Pretty perfect in every way !
Although the owners were on holiday, the staff could not have been more helpful in making us feel at home. Computer access for airline check-in purposes was very useful. Very peaceful at night. The bedroom was a little cramped and a bit jaded, but the adjoining en-suite was roomy and very modern.
Good location near the Nymphenburg park.
Have stayed here on previous visits and will return in the future; not a luxury property, but rather a "home away from home" in a wonderful area just 10 minutes by public transport from the city center; absolutely superb staff who take an interest in their guests.
queit locaction, easy access to transport, clean, relaxing atmosphere would have been nice to have chairs to sit on in room, although guest lounge was nearby
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, the owner Sebastian and his family were very friendly and did everything so that we could feel at home. The hotel is situated in a calm district of Munich near Nymphenburg palace, 30 minutes from the center of Munich by tram. The hotel is designed as a small castle and the rooms are decorated in the same old-fashioned style.
Nice staff, very nice quiet location (but the church across the road a little annoying - it bells from 8 till 20), clean rooms. Almost best value for money a little far from S-bahn (13 mins walk) and U-bahn (15 mins walk) stations. Breakfast is extra (but there is Muller cafe in 3 mins walk, where you can get a coffee + sandwich + tiramisu for 6-7 euros).
Location near Viktualienmarkt, silence In 7 days our room was never really cleaned
Close to the city center, good breakfast
low prices, high quality (nic restaurant, good breakfast) 10 min bustravel from Marienplatz
Everyone was extrememly understanding, accomodating, and helpful. The room was very cute, spacious, and clean!
the recepcionists were always very welcome! i've never seen such bad hotel!!! on Octoberfest nights the cost of the room was about 300 Euro - but thу price of the room shouldn't be higher than 50!the room was very small!! even for me alone, and everything inside was very old and dirty, cleaning was very bad, no hoovering, no bathroom cleaning, I've tried once to open a window and then couldn't close it...and after all I've left my cosmetic bad in the room, my suitcase was on the reception till the evening on that day and they haven't returned me it! Never choose this hotel!!! it would be real dissapointment of Munich visit!
The breakfast was excellent. Restaurant served good food the hotel room was too warm (no ac) and we faced a busy street which was noisy
Very nice place for the price, and in walking distance of the tourist areas.
the worm Atmosphere
I was able to come and go as I pleased with little intrusion A little noisy at the front and a bit too hot in the room
Convenient for Munich Airport & Exhibition Centre. From the Airport you can save 30 mins. by getting off the train at Johanneskirchen which is 3 km from the hotel. A taxi costs ± 8 € and takes 5 minutes. The Deluxe Room is very quiet & the Free minibar is very well stocked. At Check Out, they tried to charge for the Free (included) mini bar.
Location: too far away. Bit of an old run-down hotel, definitely too expensive
Bikes awailable to use, excellent! Good and friendly service both at the reception and breakfast. We had to wait until two o'clock to get the room. No chance for late check out, eventhought it seemed that hotel was not full booked like it was said (not so many people at the breakfast). Room was also rather small but modern and clean.
the fact that i didnt had to wait till 3pm for check in
The fact that they charge an incredible high price for the brakfast that should be included
Quite, confortable. The price for the season was expensive.
The bed and pillow were very comfortable The lobby area was not too attractive.
To far from city center and even worst too far from metro station.
It was clean, quiet, the reception staff was very nice; they also have bikes for you to borrow, which you can check out for the day and ride across town. We were stuck at a metro station at night with no means of transportation, we called the hotel and they sent us a taxi cab right away. It is not exactly downtown, and you need to walk 10-15 minutes (depending on how fast you walk) to the underground station, but they do give you a small map and explain how to get to the station from the hotel; and with the underground it only takes around 10 minutes or so to get downtown.
it was my only bad experience in my life, its the worst hotel ever I don't think that I will ever stay in holiday inn. very bad quality of service no body was there in the reception I was looking for some one to help even when they so me no one even look at me no hospitality at all, cleanliness of hotel is very bad with bad smell every where in the hotel, its was old hotel never been renewed even the elevators small bad smell.
Quiet location. Good breakfast. Not convenient for U-Bahn, but convenient for bus once I mastered the bus routes and how to pay.
Comfortable rooms, decent breakfast, mini-kitchen distance from underground station
The staff were really friendly, and even after I left my keys and phone in the room they posted them back to England very qickly for me. The apartment layout really worked well and it was nice that we had the comfort of a hotel, but could still cook our own food. It wasn't made clear that we would be charged 25 euros extra per bed in the room
Large comfortable rooom. Clean, tidy and quite swish. Little out of the way
Pleasant staff, comfortable and quiet rooms, free minibar was nice (included beer). Decent location (about 10 mins by #58 bus to central train station). The room smelled of smoke or some other chemicals, though it was a non smoking room.
Instead of a mini bar the hotel stocks the fridge with complimentary beers and water for your arrival, nice touch. We stayed in a double facing the street and had no problems with noise whatsoever (rooms facing the courtyard are more expensive). Other reviews on the the site indicated that the hotel was poorly located for the city centre but the transport links (including the number 58 bus that stops extremely close by) are excellent. Some minor maintenance issues with the room e.g. missing light and missing skirting board near door. Cooking facilities included in room but no utensils.
Clean, comfortable, very convenient. Felt closer to home than staying in a regular hotel. Staff was awesome and very accommodating.
Out of the main tourist areas but close to them via bus.
The rooms were nice.
the accommodation was great good location for access to everything
The staff was great Not regular room cleaning . Our room wasn't cleaned for out entire stay
Very nice place. Provide internet/WLAN access.
Breakfast and facilities were very good. Staff were friendly and helpful.
I thought the breakfasts and the evening meals were outstanding
Loved the hotel and location (right off the metro). Staff held our bags when we arrived before check-in and even loaned us umbrellas so we could explore the area in the rain! Pricey, but also during Oktoberfest, so understandable
friendly helpfull staff. Room was dated and needed some TLC
Good value for the rate. Subway is about 2 blocks away and is convenient access to downtown. Situated in neighborhood, many of the living essentials are around the corner - grocery store, 3 bakeries, 2 hair salons, nail salon, dentist, doctor, apothecary, flower shop, doner kebap, etc. Room was extremely cold when we arrived as the heat was completely turned off. Took several hours for the radiant heat to significantly raise the temperature. Would prefer hotels to turn the heat on ahead of your arrival when you have a reservation.
It's OK as a place to stay for short periods, but beware that breakfast is not included in the price - for some reason this wasn't stated on the hotel's page at booking.com. On the positive side - the hotel did cancel the breakfast charge (Thank you) as I proved that it is not stated prior to booking! the shower cubicle could've been cleaned better and the cubicle doors need attention. The only reason I wouldn't immediately recommend the hotel is that one can surely find a room inclusive of breakfast in another hotel in the city. If there wasn't anything else available though, I'd gladly stay there again.
nothing ! It is pretty outside, the design is from the late 80's , the rooms are small, the beds are like in a cheap hostel. the double room is the same as the single one. i asked the staff about that. she was freindly and told me that is what they called double bed, right side next to the wall. we slept like 3-4 hours only.breakfest for 12 eur/person is a joke, i asked espresso they said no..i asked cappucciono (i saw they got big coffe machine) they brought long coffee and hot milk to the table and said we should fix it on the table. i m sorry but did not have steamer in my laptop case.
It was quite nice and clean. It was situated far from the centre and no restaurants could be found around it. Besides, the parking was not included in the price.
Breakfast and staff Though i stayed only for two days but the hotel charged me for three breakfast. I approached the staff , he said i can't do anything about as the maount was already paid through credit card.
the room was little but very very nice with everything we needed. Wifi was so expansive
the area is calm and beautiful on one hand but not that far from citiy center on the other. the view over the park is very very nice!
Quite, clean and good location Very high extra charge for not included services like parking, Wifi and breakfast. Elevators very slow.
I like everything except parking too expensive very nice hotel No budy pickup the bag's to room you have to do it by your self , In general the hotel very good and the staff also I suggest keep someone take the bag's to the room and thanks so much
Decent size, clean and well appointed rooms. A little out from the city centre but only a 10 euro taxi ride to Marien Platz. Would've been nice to have a couple of restaurants and cafes close by as the hotel food and drinks were quite expensive.
nice location no
Missing Airport courtsy collection & Courtsy transport to Mauma Fair.
the staff and their readiness to answer any question with such patience.
Excellent breakfast, very good service at check-in, very peaceful location but pleasant walk to city centre through the English Gardens.
Our rooms were comfortable, food was excellent, sauna was interesting experience but best thing was the staff. It was great!
Overall impression was good, but the staff was really on a high level. For such a hotel the gym is really poor.
The Front desk staff are very welcoming and helpfull.. Maya was the best, she always exceed the Servise expectation. Bathroom is small
close to Marienplatz and Pinotetka museums light from sign in our room all night
Excellent location to db, very comfortable and Clean. There is restaurants front of the hotel provide halal food.
Straightforward check in; English speaking staff, late bar and good coffee machine in the room
location and attitude of staff
Comfortable, friendly, good value for its location, more traditional in its decor, helpful staff, good location, close to railway station and 10 minute walk from Marienplatz
The atmosphere the room i was in was a very strange shape - long and thin - i felt a little boxed in as it wasn;t the standard square shape.
I liked the location close to the main train station and the room. The double room should have had double bed. Also, breakfast should be included at the price paid.
Air conditioning did not cool room below 27 degress Celsius and matress was very uncomfortable.
Great location, good sized comfy room, staff were helpful when needed but not pushy, excellent hotel security N/A
Clean and very organized Gym to small
Excellent breakfast! Very comfortable rooms even though they were very simple.
Clean, well appointed and convenient to metro. No air conditioning, and the temp was near 90 degrees F. Also, breakfast was not included, and a 12 Euro option per person?
The good italian restaurant and the buffet breakfastl. The room was also warm which was nice. THe vending machines did not stock water, only paulaner and coke! This needs to be rectified.
The staff at the hotel were all generally very nice - bar 14 was lovely, and as a solo traveller - it was nice to come down to the bar to friendly bar staff and a friendly atmosphere.
Clean and near to subway and minimart. Happy to have microwave to heat up food.
Very nice room Pure breakfast comparing to the hotel in ISRAEL
they have kitchennete breakfast is charged 9 euro. wifi isnot included.
I really appreciate the sauna The breakfast was poor
Relax, clean and the kind staff The fitness room was very small
This was a fantastic hotel. The staff were very helpful, the rooms were modern, clean, spacious and comfortable, and even included cooking facilities (though the kitchenette is small). The breakfast included in the price was fantastic, with a huge variety of food, and excellent coffee. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for great value accommodation in munich. The hotel is located a few train stops south of the city in Giesing, and is approximately a 5-10 minute walk from the train station. When we stayed, the hotel even gave us a 3 day transport ticket, worth 21 EUR.
Luxury environment, great music selection, very nice breakfast, great location
They gave us probably the oldest room in the house. I stayed there 2 months ago and had a totally different room... Was because of booking via booking.com or because booking late? Who knows...
The rooms were incredibly spacious and the service was excellent. The beds were a bit firm, and they were the weird Euro style -- two twin beds made a king. Other than that, it was wonderful!
The service, the sun terrace, pool and gym area, the situation in Munich, the brekfast The smelling of the room
Location was fabulous. Hotel was clean, safe, quiet.
fantastic hotel, very helpful and friendly staff, upgraded us to a junior suite which was very spacious, would not hesitate to visit again
The whole experience - the attentiveness of the staff, the comfort of the room and the location of the hotel. As it was a business trip I didn't have a chance to use the spa or eat in the restaurants (as we ate out) but will definitely be back.
Our rooms were in the new wing which is a fair walk from the lift with a number of confusing doors. Also the views from the rooms overlooking the courtyard were poor with some concrete constructions in front of the windows.
It offers so much inside that youeasily spend a weekend not leaving the hotel. There is a huge difference in the types of rooms available. the smallest rooms are really too small but are still well appointed. There was a significant amount of building work with associated noise.
Location, efficiency, friendly staff
We liked the attention to detail and friendliness, helpfulness of the staff. Breakfast buffet was excellent.
Very friendly and helpful.
This is not a 3 star hotel and hostel This is not a 3 star hotel and hostel
The hotel staff was very kind and helpfull
The location was only 2 stops from the city center. It took less than 5 minutes from the hotel. The entire hotel was old and unkept. The rooms were dirty, and smelled
In rooms on the street side traffic is too loud (over night). Must be notice on web site about this. Hotel is ready to renovations. On the web site looks better than is alive.
Hospality at front desk. Everyone was very helpful. I would say excellent people at the hotel Internet service it never worked in my room
Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean smell good No refrigerator in the room
It was October Fest time so the prices were inflated to a much too high level, but the hotel lived up to the 3 star rating.
For the price of the rooms it is a quite good hotel. The staff was very helpful. They have all the information you may need for your stay in Munchen (including free city maps and guide-books). There is a wireless internet connection. The rooms are small.
I woud like to have a bidet douche
Everything was good. But in the restaurant were flying flies.
We were a family in a business hotel. It wasn't really about liking or disliking. We couldn't book another hotel during this period.
The guaranty quality of Best Western Hotels not close to metro station
It is too far away from the city. The train station is a long way away and we had trouble getting Taxi's to take us back as it was so far out of the City. Also, room keys were just left on reception's desk for people to pick up when they came in. Anyone could have picked these keys up and gone through other's rooms.
breakfast impolite staff
Hotel was as we expected, Clean, with very good breakfast buffet, and with very kind staff. We didnt't realize it was out of town when we booked. Without car it is a big problem.
There is no elevator
The friendly atmosphere
that it is very close to the city center difficulties with the wireless internet - didn't get any connection during the stay
It was close to the train station. not the best part of town.
The hotel is very nice. The room was very nice clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was great. The location was also really good. It is a five minute walk from the main train station and 10 minutes through a great shopping strip to the main square of Marienplatz. No complaints. All very good.
Magnificent breakfast, staff very helpful and friendly. Good location, close to main train station and other transport, but without the expected transport noise. Ongoing trouble with internet connection, when it did connect seemed to 'time out', then had trouble re-connecting.
Location was ok, near to railway station and underground stations and not too far from the old town. Breakfast was good and the staff helpful. The room was not very clean and the room air was very bad even though we stayed during the winter time.
Location near center of city; excellent breakfast There was no lift; nearby music was loud at night
I liked the central location - easy reach to the Old Town and proximity to the train station which saves time when you arrive/depart and travel countryside. Breakfast was great and staff was all friendly. We had no problem changing the room that we initially did not like. Overall pretty good budget hotel - value for money. Some of the rooms are fairly small - but we did not travel Munich to sit in the rooms all day.
Friendly staff. Nice and clean. Rich and tasty breakfast. Noisy environment. The bed was a bit uncomfotable. I was not asked about smoking/non-smoking room. As a result, I was given a wrong type.
Cheap wifi, good location, friendly staff, clean rooms, cheap parking two single beds pushed together to form double bed, pillows
The staff were very good. Exelent service very friendly
friendly atmosphere Lack of comfort: No washclothes, shampoo, hair dryer etc.
Staff were friendly. I had no problems during my stay
Breakfast ok, small hot selection. Close to main train station including s and u bahn. 15 min walk to MarienPlatz or 2 x s bahn stops. Small but adequate room, tiny bathroom. Parking off site, 5 mins walk, but good rate for hotel guests. Fab Italian restaurant approx 1 block up from hotel.
location and comfort could not have been better and the price wa reasonable
Good location not far from Hauptbahnhof (DB, S+U-Bahn). Breakfast is simple but still diverse enough.
Easy access to train station and public transportation. Rooms clean beds comfortable. Breakfast was good. Free coffee and tea in the lobby.
Breakfast was quite nice. Hotel staff seemed quite friendly. Area is close to the city centre, but in an 'ethnic' area so to speak. Tea/coffe making facilities available only in the lobby. Old rooms.
Nice modern atmosphere and central location No tea and coffee facilities, breakfast room to small and always busy.
Good breakfast; good bar; room was good size and good facilities; health club was excellent; location is good TV broke twice in 3 days. Is there a problem with the TV's or with the power supply? Difficult to get room cool enough
garden room service is a bit late
everything especially the breakfast
Comfortable rooms and very friendly service Expensive breakfast!!
The interior was welcoming, spacious and the wonderful waft of spicey candles in the foyer induced an immediate response of relaxation. The room was large, luxurious and so comfortable. Staff were superb, friendly and helpful.
Staff was very helpfull and kind. They gave us a new renovated room and alot of helpfull tips about restraunts. The room was new and clean. The hotel is very close to main station which is good if you are traveling by train. Ibut if your intention is shopping and sightseeing, yhat means you have to walk a lot or take the tram for two stops. The lobby is very dark and crowded like a train station. We booked a double deluxe room for two nights ten days before the date, with a reasonable price and then when we want to extended the reservation to three nights they charged us very expensive price almost two times which is ridicolous. It must be the same price if you already have a reservation.
Staff friendly and multi-lingual, clean rooms, excellent location and a nice ambience about the place. All pillows and duvets were feathers and the drinks in the bar are very pricey - 7,50 euros for a beer. No tea and coffee facilities in the room.
Almost everything The breakfast was very nice The room was big, quite, clean and tidy The stuff were helpful and friendly The parking was a lil bit expensive 25£/day
close to the shopping malls
We stayed during Oktoberfest, and the hotel was fully booked. The staff was very helpful and curteous. Fairly basic hotel accomodations, but clean. Hotel was in a quiet part of city, just outside the old town with very convenient access to the metro. Near some nice bars and restaurants.
close to munich city center , about 10 min
conveniently located near the Garten and the U-bahn, walking distance to both. room was clean, bathroom was extremely large - however the shower was a stall only, even though there was room for a tub in there. Internet was available in the Lobby on a computer, however we could never get the wireless to connect to the Droid phone. the first person that greeted us when we first arrived was very nice, the rest seemed a bit grumpy. It was busy due to Oktoberfest, but still... We arrived at 9 am, check-in is 2. they held our bags for us so we could site see, but when we arrived back at 2:30, our room was still not ready. We had the only room on that level w/out a street view and in the morning we clearly heard the kitchen/restaurant staff through our window via the courtyard below at 5 am. We were on the first floor - which equates to the 2nd floor in US, there was no elevator to this floor. I don't mind stairs, but there was elevator to other levels. Bathroom seemed a bit "hospital-ish" with it's huge size, but mostly it's sterile feel.
caring and helpful staff
Friendly staff and nice location. Some restaurants nearby. Internet not working, plumbing problems, no hot water over w/e and mon
location,, close but far enough away to get a better feel for the city
Very friendly staff who made our Munich holidays comfortable.
large rooms so many stairs and the lifts don't lead to rooms, rather lauggage must be carried on stairs
Location is ideal Bathrooms in our room (104) had bad drains
