PROS: Very welcoming couple eager to please in every way. They left a key on the outside of the room for me, not knowing when I'd arrive. The room was tastefully decorated with small luxury additions that would appeal to any couple or individual-- towels, makeup desk, extra pillows, couch, etc. There are other facilities-- refrig. storage, outside tables and chairs and a pool that was very inviting (sorry I didn't use it!!). The breakfast was extremely well presented, nutritious, providing just about every item one could want (cheeses, homemade jams, juices, breads, fresh fruit, pastry, coffee, etc.). The place is surrounded by gardens and flowers of diverse kind.CONS: The only real negative is that the place is far away from any conveniences or restaurants gas stations, etc. and it is part of the family's home, which may not appeal to everyone. This is in wine country, so it is a bit remote with lots of fields and no facilities outside. You will be in a small country village with zero facilities for visitors and if your French is not up to speed (at least basic) you may feel it is too much of an adventure. Make sure you get here during the day!
