10.0 Excellent
Pros: The live music, the snack between 5-6! Complimentary wine when we arrived’!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. The staff was also very friendly.
Cons: The restaurant was had very slow service. We waited almost an hour to be served breakfast, and dinner was even slower. The food was also flavorless and just okay overall. I expect more when I pay $50 for an entree. The only other comment I have is that I asked for additional coffee and creamer for my room. It took them 2&1/2 hours to bring it up.
6.0 Good
Pros: Great place.
Cons: Under staff. House keeping mistakes. Room not refreshed. Slow front desk , but willing. Slow service at pool, but willing. Renting from the marina, best operation. The hotel staff out performed the management. Great place! Needs a secret shopper.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness of staff, helpful, very comfortable room, good restaurant
Cons: the weather
8.2 Excellent
Pros: We attended our sons wedding weekend at lodge along with 130 others. Wedding was superb. Setting, food, staff were all fantastic. Studio room we stayed in, my husband, my self, daughter, son in law, and grandson, was spacious, clean, and overall very comfortable. Was great to have small fridge and kitchen area.
Cons: Front desk staff and housekeeping seemed to be overwhelmed. Our room was not ready upon 4 pm check in, which cased a certain amount of stress as we were scheduled to attend a wedding rehearsal at 5 and needed access to room to get ready. And, although I had booked a rollaway cot months in advance, and had verified upon check in, it was 11:30 pm before we received, and then only when I become a fixture at the front desk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We love the location we live in Bigfork Mt not that far away but when you only ski a few times a year, it's so nice to get off the hill and be in a jacuzzi in ten minutes! It's become a tradition and we love it , we know the Averill family and know it's first class ! Hoping to continue in years to come !
Cons: What, why ??
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location and lots to do for the family. We had our kids and grandkids and had a great time. The shuttle was very easy to access for both the mountain and town.
Cons: Wish we had more time to stay longer

9.0 Excellent
Pros: True ski-in....only had to walk across the parking to ski out. They had a ski room and boot room for you to store your stuff. Beds were supper comfy. Great big fire place and room to sit and visit. The popcorn and cookies with hot chocolate after a long day of fabulous skiing were a nice treat. Breakfast was simple but good. For being an old hotel it was clean and gave you a "come on in and relax" feeling.

Pros: Charming property with large, well appointed rooms. Very clean and comfortable. Superb breakfast with plenty of options including fresh fruits, yogurts, cheese, meats, pastries and breads/waffles, hot/cold cereals, drinks. Convenient location to the ski lodge. We have stayed here in the summer and winter and enjoyed the outdoor activities. Various options for dinner and drinks. Afternoon coffee/tea/cocoa/cider with cookies after a full day of skiing. The lodge also has a boot room to store ski equipment for overnight drying. The staff are very helpful and accommodating in every respect. We look forward to returning again.
Cons: No elevators, but only a small inconvenience while transporting luggage. Of course, the staff is always willing to help.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ok. We were only there for one night, but it would be a lot of fun to stay for a few days. The summer activities at the resort are a lot of fun. We spent the whole day doing them.
6.3 Good
Pros: Pretty cozy, lots of stairs.
Cons: Unhappy with the dirty /blood stained sheets. They got changed at 10:45 pm on our first night by the front staff who gave no apology but rather complained about the cleaning staff instead of just taking responsibility. No discount or anything was offered. Won’t be returning to this place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: beautiful grounds, amazing lodge, clean and comfortable rooms! Couldn't have been more pleased! The continental breakfast was very sparce, but everything else made up for it! Thank you for an amazing stay!

Pros: Nice lobby. Liked multiple fireplaces. Swimming area (inside/outside options) was nice. Very nice setting - on the golf course with great mountain views also. Staff was very good - courteous, attentive, down to earth.
Cons: Our shower barely drained, sink was not much better. I finally mentioned it to cleaning staff and maintenance did take care of it right away. Stains on room chair seat covers - not a good look. General wear and tear was noticeable, inside and out.

Pros: The servers, the Jacuzzi, the happy hour, the fireplace, The over not all coziness of the lodge❤️

Pros: Hot tub
Cons: Delayed check in
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great food and hot tub was a wonderful temperature!
Cons: When you allow dogs it is difficult to control when animals use the carpet instead of grass, but then your cleaning staff should make rounds constantly. Dog stool dried on the carpet can be quite gross to see on your way into a restaurant.
7.4 Good
Pros: Very comfortable beds, solid location closeish to downtown, nice staff.
Cons: Carpet had several stains, old bath soap from last occupant was left in the bathtub.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location right across the street from the first snow bus pickup. Good breakfast, and good free chili for lunch from 1 to 5. Hot tub and a rudimentary fitness room. Great value for money, will definitely stay again.
Cons: Fitness room could use some machine maintenance and cleaning. Still served its purpose though.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, free breakfast, snacks etc. Large outdoor hot tub
Cons: Room was a little noisy, we were able to hear people in the next room, and people coming back to their rooms at 3am etc.
7.0 Good
Pros: Outdoor hottub, friendly staff, free chili in the afternoons and a great complimentary breakfast
Cons: For the second year in a row random amounts of money have been taken out of my account at check in, even though I already paid the full price. Both times the staff has said they don’t know why I was charged the specific amount of money. Kind of frustrating. We asked to go to the train station at 6:40am, one hour prior to our departure. We were told they would only take us at 7am and that’s always how they do it and there is never any problems. Our shuttle driver was late, therefore we were late and were too late to check our baggage which caused quite the catastrophe. Also super frustrating.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Very nice
Cons: Biggest tv, but the cable was out, so I had no tv. No compensation.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and nicely decorated. Extra perks like fresh baked cookies in the PM and chili from 1-5pm.

Cons: Front door was not automatic and made it challenging to get the luggage carrier in and out

Pros: This hotel is relatively new, with a clean appearance and extremely friendly staff. Stacy at the front desk and driver Dave were very helpful. We were advised about the shuttle, which is a major bonus for those looking to explore the brewery and after dinner scene in Whitefish (last pick up is before 01:00). As another reviewer mentioned, the hotel is set back from the road. So very minimal street noise, even from a street facing room. Breakfast had plenty of options and was well stocked. 6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is a little difficult to locate due to the small sign on the bottom of the sign post. The receptionist and staff were very pleasant and extremely helpfull. The room was a good size and very accessible with an interior and exterior door. Parking was fine as we parked outside the external door. The issue that we found was that the Heater/AC unit was Extremely Noisy. It worked well and kept the room very comfortable but more then too much white noise did not make for a comfortable night without earplugs.
Cons: Needs a quieter AC/Heater unit
7.0 Good
Pros: Outside door with parking immediately outside was convenient. Room and bathroom was clean. Hairdryer was available and in good order.
Cons: We had a very hard time finding the driveway to the hotel. The breakfast was okay. The plates are a bit small for the waffles and are too soft to easily cut the waffles. The options for meat and muffins are pretty slim.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very excellent and helpful.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Breakfast was good. Nice breakfast room. Good selection.

7.1 Good

Pros: There was nothing we didn't like! My husband and I used the Inn as our homebase while visiting our family. Joey and his wife were wonderful hosts. Our room was very comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast was a nice surprise ... Not only bagels, English muffins, oatmeal, cereal, juice and coffee, we were treated to homemade breakfast cake and make your own waffles. The views from our room and from the welcoming lounge are lovely! We definitely recommend the Duck Inn Lodge, which is centrally located to downtown Whitefish, as the place to stay when you need a Home away from Home!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all super friendly and accommodating, the furniture and rooms are beautiful and super comfy and the Jacuzzi bath tub was the best! Lovely also to wake up with a fire in the room and open the door to the sound of water and ducks! Lovely breakfast in a comfortable and social dining/ living space. This hotel was the highlight of our trip to the states and I would love to go back to Whitefish just to stay here again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome rooms, fabulist hospitality, incredible breakfast, quiet location close to town. Definitely exceeded our expectations. This place gets warmth service. Would be great for a family reunion or a gathering of friends, booking the whole place.
Cons: No kidding, perfect.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious, lots to eat. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was clean, comfortable and spacious. I would definitely return. On my next trip when I drive to the United States.
Cons: There is very little I could say I didn’t like about it. Great hosts, great accommodations, very happy with facilities and staff. It would be great to have a hot tub if I had to choose something, and key cards instead of real keys....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Duck Inn was the best hotel I've stayed at in years. The owner was attentive to our needs and the experience was awesome. I would highly recommend the Duck Inn to anyone staying in Whitefish
Cons: Everything was exceptional No negative comments

Cons: Showers ran out of hot water at peak times
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Basic, but very comfortable room. Nice view. Balcony and gas fire place. Very friendly stuff offering "a la carte" breakfast.
Cons: Maybe it does make sense to start breakfast earlier than 8AM
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We stayed over the long weekend in the McDonald suite. The room was clean, comfortable, had a really nice lodge/cabin feel to it. We had a nice view of the river. The bathtub was a very deep jetted tub. We had a fire place right by the bed. It was very cozy. Breakfast was delicious!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Great owners, breakfast daily, very nice room, great location, excellent price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Cleanest room that I've ever stayed in! Comfortable beds. Rooms are not huge but they have what you need in them. I love the coziness of the lobby's reception area, you feel like you are sitting in the living room of friends. The dining area is the same way...the two owners prepare you a hot breakfast, if you would like, but have a fairly large selection of continental items available, if you prefer. Yogurt, fruit, cereals, toast/bagels. The best description I have come up with is this..... you feel like you are staying in a friend's really beautiful home with an amazing view of the river. But the friend is giving you as much space as you need to do your own thing. However, your friend will sit down and chat with you, if YOU have time and want to chat. The Lodge just feels cozy and friendly without being too intrusive or over the top.
Cons: This is our 2nd time staying here and not sure there is anything we don't like. I wish there was a full length mirror in the room. And a small fridge would be nice, however, since it's winter time we were able to put everything outside on our balcony. There are no irons in the room. You may be able to ask the front desk for one but we got in late and there was no ine available to ask for one. And really, who should be ironing while escaping at this cozy, little retreat???
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My boyfriend and I loved our stay at the Duck Inn. All the staff were very friendly and made us feel so comfortable. The breakfast so fresh and tasty. Such a good location on the river not far from the centre.

7.0 Good
Pros: There was no breakfast but coffee was good. Beds were comfy and place was clean.
Cons: No jets on jacuzzi made it just a tub of hot water which you can have in your room. This was the only disappointment.
7.0 Good
Pros: The price was inexpensive, beds were very comfortable
Cons: The towel hanger in the bathroom wasn’t very secure. There were no lampshades, which was odd
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Close to food , Way Friendly service. Clean and just nice
Cons: No Fridge in room , Bed a little hard ,and the road noise ( but that can't be helped)
5.0 Okay
Pros: I walked from the train station, so the hotel’s location was ideal.
Cons: The after-hours process of checking in and finding my room (directions were unclear) was a huge inconvenience and no one answered the after hours number. Also, once I finally found my room, it was missing a lampshade and had no bedside lamps. I have stayed at this hotel more than 10 times and enjoyed it’s rustic comforts. It seems as though changes have been made and corners have been cut making this one by far my worst experience. I shall probably start looking for a new place to recommend to friends.
6.5 Good
Pros: Location was terrific! Right in the downtown district next to shopping!!!
Cons: Parking lot was crowded with shitty parking jobs. Almost ZERO amenities. No fridge! Beds were extremely uncomfortable. A/C barely worked
6.0 Good
Pros: Location was great, lots of places to eat real close and easy to get to the mountain for skiing,
Cons: I could not find the hot tub and that was a big selling point. Also the bathtub backed up a little and left nasty things from the drain in the tub while showering.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The price was just what I needed for the trip. The hotel was quaint and clean. It was basic but comfortable. Close to Glacier and downtown Whitefish. I would stay again.
6.0 Good
Pros: Very inexpensive in a summer resort area. We checked it out ahead of time and signed on. My husband has balance problems and I think we will need to request a handicapped room next time.
Cons: We thought the name Cheap Sleep Motel was not good. We could tell by the price it would not be 3 or 4 stars. After we checked the place out we thought we would be fine. (And we were except we were afraid to use the shower with no grab bars.)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness of the staff was unparalleled. They were so friendly, so accommodating, and so wonderful with our kids. Unbelievable value for the money.
10.0 Excellent

9.0 Excellent
Pros: I appreciated the value for the money and the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and affordable. Like that there was breakfast, albeit very limited.
Cons: No shampoo or conditioner, just bar soap, but the shower head was fantastic. Also, it's a good thing we got up early or we would have been woken up by other guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole stay was great. The husband and wife were very friendly. The beds were comfy. Just a few blocks from the main street! Cant wait to be back!
Cons: Nothing!

7.4 Good
Cons: 1st morning, The breakfast was poor. Advertised for waffles & strawberries, served terrible French toast instead. Sausage links likewise. 2nd morning scrambled eggs and ham. Difficult time finding the ham mixed in the eggs. The orange juice was good. Considering the room price, including taxes $133+ the food was not as good as most hotels that have similar type of breakfast.

7.0 Good
Pros: Friendly and clean
5.0 Okay
Pros: Decent coffee, friendly helpful staff. Very cheap rates.
Cons: You get what you pay for... cheapest motel in Whitefish. Cold and outdated, needs new windows that don't leak.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The housekeeping staff, by far, made our visit the most appreciative. Beds were comfortable.
Cons: The tee shirts they sell proudly displayed on the wall behind the front desk "I got humped, at Stumptown Inn"...not a family friendly tee shirt to see upon check in. Front desk staff could provide information about the hotel: wi-fi, complimentary breakfast (although just bread & pastries) and things to do while in Whitefish (where to eat, etc). The noise level from the guest above or beside you, was 'personal', meaning you could hear more than you wanted to hear. The cost of the room whould have been $50 LESS than what we paid, to equalize the hotel shabby & run down appearance & needed interior updates. Over priced.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great views and location. Perfect for a short or long stay. Fantastically friendly staff!
Cons: Loved all of it.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Bathroom fan sounded like a chainsaw running.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was great, staff friendly, and everything was in good condition. My wife dropped her phone in the parking lot and the staff held on to it for her. Definitely would recommend and stay again.
Cons: The shower, while comfortably warm, had to be on full hot to even get there. Both my wife and I would have like it a bit hotter, but it was fine.
4.2 Okay
Pros: one of the front counter people was energetic. the roof didn't leak the window on the third floor opened they let my dog stay
Cons: other counter people seems annoyed didn't feel clean was bitten by something in the bed when we got there, no one was at the front counter for over 10 minutes. another guest was bringing his in-room coffee pot down because it had mold toilet ran all night, tub faucet dripped, sink leaked
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and welcoming staff. Great on comfort and top notch clean
Cons: Absolutely nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: My daughter ended up staying here the night of 1/3/2020 Because of the Amtrak train not being able to complete the trip to Spokane for her to pick up her son from his father . And the buses to complete the trip wouldn't arrive in Whitefish until the next morning. The lady doing check in was very quick about getting my distraught daughter a room as well as helping calm her down. Great customer service !
7.4 Good
Pros: Good value, clean facility. Relatively good location for the main strip and easy entry / exit
Cons: Very dated decor. Straight out of the late 70's made it feel old/worn.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Woody is delightful and the accommodations charming and warm. Provided breakfasts were amazing. Highly highly recommend.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner,Woody was a wonderful, friendly host who gave spot on recommendations for restaurants and hiking trails. He agreed to help cook fish that we caught in return for a share. We had a delicious meal and enjpyed his company immensely. The location was very central. And there were things to do in all directions. The Jaccuzi was great after a long hike and the adjacent gas fire was a nice touch.
Cons: The breakfasts were fancy with an interesting array of grain bowls combined with fruits and veggies that changed daily. My only complaint was that the portion size was sometimes smaller than I would have liked (1 egg, 1/2 piece of sausage). There was free access to cereal, yogurt and toast so no one went hungry, but would have enjoyed more of the eggs before a day of vigorous hikimh.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Free cookies

Pros: the breakfast exceeded all expectations. The owners wife is a marvelous cook. Everything!!!. was delicious.
Cons: several of the chairs in the sitting rooms were difficult to get up and out of as is am slightly dissabiled It would be nice if they had a couple of higher chairs too sit in that were soft. that is my only suggestion.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners and staff are very friendly. They make special breakfasts every morning. The rooms are comfortable. The place is quiet. It has a hot tub and a laundry room. Great experience!

Cons: The shuttle could’ve run longer. We didn’t have a ride after our flight around midnight and didn’t have a ride back to the airport at 5am.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable
Cons: Not the hotel's fault but late night drunk people being loud in the hallway.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good continental breakfast
Cons: Very noisy with thin walls and floors (not anyone being loud on purpose, just an old building)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean space, and proximity to town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was the friendliest ice encountered ever. Facility was clean and comfortable. Multiple fun amenities.
Cons: Front door was not automatic and made it challenging to get the luggage carrier in and out
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great room and in a great location

10.0 Excellent
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent view, staff, beds and breakfast.
