Pros (+) I was in Boston for a downtown conference and conference hotels are sterile and it's hard to find anything resembling quiet and calm. Harrington House is a 25 minute drive from down town, a short drive (and $5 parking) to the T - which is 10 minutes to downtown and 20 to the Hines Convention Center. Pros (+) Perfect locale in Winthrop - the airport was more scenic than intrusive, and the waterfront was just as close and lovely as we had hoped. We lounged on the front porch for a while, soaking in the view and the sea air. Comfortable bed, nice (shared) bathroom, and quiet - only when I went into the hallway did I hear my neighbors snoring.
Cons (-) Breakfast was nice (fresh muffins), but eggs and meat (bacon, sausage, etc) would have been better. Limited indoor common-room seating - I'm glad the place was nearly empty while we were there, we would have had to fight for a chair.
