Pros: Lovely location and very carefully looked after. The gardens were lovely and it was very quiet. Liked the no dogs rule! Ample car parking Good breakfast
Cons: Our room (6) was small but comfortable . However the bathroom was way too small and ‘ pokey’ . Luxury it wasn’t . I had to bend over to use the loo and almost bumped my head several times. The lack of a staffed reception meant on occasion we had to go looking for staff to order tea etc. The bar was not in a very good location and we never saw it open .

Pros: This place is a gem....the location is perfect for exploring Lulworth Cove and beautiful Durdle Door. It’s been beautifully done and feels luxurious and special without ever feeling intimidating. The food is great and the breakfast wonderful....I would stay here again just for the breakfast! The staff are fantastic....so welcoming and can’t do enough for you, but never over the top. I can’t recommend this little hotel more highly.
Cons: Nothing....I loved it all!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lady called Elaine who booked me in, served my food and chatted to me and other guests. She was outstanding ; friendly, hard working, enthusiastic - nothing was too much trouble. Her level of service is what will get me to come back and stay again. A major major asset to the hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is spotless. Rain head shower was really good. Breakfast choices were great - read, fruit, cereal, yoghurt and fruit on the buffet and an excellent choice of full English, vegetarian cooked breakfast, and further choices. Staff were helpful and welcoming.

Cons: Our weekend was brilliant, lovely location helpful and friendly staff . Would recommend unreservedly.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location is fab, the restaurant very good, staff smiley and accommodating
Cons: Chocolate room was a little chilly on arrival, bed was comfortable but our duvet felt like it had been washed and was very lumpy and uncomfortable Generally the decor in our room was curious; the overhead light was very modern but the bedside lights super traditional. Worse, they gave off so little light I had to use the torch on my phone to read Breakfast was plentiful and generally good but there was something weird about the scrambled eggs which were inedible
5.7 Okay
Pros: They overbooked the reservation. We arrived and were told the hotel was sold out and there was nothing they could do. We had a confirmed reservation in our hands

Pros: Clean and comfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best of all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful about everything not only finding extra heater for our room ( it was an exceptionally cold night in February ) but also every other question we asked ( eg about various locations) they took a great deal of trouble to find the information for us despite the fact it wasn’t their problem ! Breakfast was excellent , and gardens looked delightful although it was February very wet so we didn’t have chance to explore.
Cons: Would have liked a better light for reading.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was fantastic. The manager, Tony, is a real gentleman and incredibly helpful and accommodating. Everyone was fantastic.
Cons: Nothing. The staff, especially Tony, were very supportive in a very difficult time for me.

7.0 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel was amazing and the building was gorgeous. My partner was over joyed when he spotted an old VW Beetle in the car park. Our room was in the annex to the house so was nice and quiet. I found the bed uncomfortable and did not sleep well and the room needs a little touch up here and there but was very clean overall.
Cons: Breakfast, my partner being a Chef was disappointed with the lack of choice. The quality of the food was very good, however, the presentation left a lot to be desired, it was as if they had cooked the food and then just dumped it into the middle of the plate. Portion size is small

Cons: The room and ensuite bathroom were not sufficiently clean, the bedding was poor, and there was a very noticeable damp patch on the ceiling
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast fine, Evening meal good if a little "Pubby"
Cons: A better Evening menu for non meat eaters like my wife
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice place we stayed for one night clean and the breakfast was lovely .
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is great as it is right on the high street. The building is charming and has lots of original features. The staff were all very pleasant and obliged my request to be served breakfast earlier at 8am although for a hotel to start serving breakfast at 8:30am seems unusual. Check in and check out went smoothly. The room was adequately clean.
Cons: The furnishings in the room are cheap and dated. I understand that it's a period property but the furniture is the cheapest you could imagine from the 80's. The bed linen and pillows are flimsy and felt functional rather than comfortable. There was a tank or boiler of some kind in a cupboard beside my bed which was making noise throughout the night. There is very little attention to detail as in, towels were provided but no there was no handtowel in the bathroom. The bath/shower didn't have a hook on the wall so you had to shower yourself which is very awkward. Breakfast was ok but discovered a grey hair on my plate halfway through (mine is red). The breakfast table had dirt on it when I sat down and I had to wipe it away myself. This could potentially be an excellent charming hotel but it seems very little effort has been put in to update the customer experience in a long time.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and near all amenities
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Location close to beach and town centre
Cons: Our room was quite a distance from reception, but not a major problem really.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location of this hotel is pretty unbeatable. I had a sea view across the bay, which was an unexpected delight and the bed was very comfortable.
Cons: It has seen better days I'm afraid. The very epitome of faded grandeur with every surface yellowing with age and curtains that stick and shudder in their tracks. The toilet bowl was almost black where it had been left to discolour and at night it was cold in the room, despite the weather being very warm for the time of year. Also, there is no parking on site and the car park next door added £18 to the cost of my stay...
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: It was a disaster. We could not stay. We were given a room next to their waste hold area. The window would not open because all the rubbish bins were just outside. The room was tight and horrible. We left immediately.
Cons: See our comments of 'what we liked'. Terrible hotel. Needs total modernisation, as location is good. Need new staff, training, etc. avoid staying there at all costs!
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: No cleaner, no replacement of towels, Ted coffee
6.5 Good
Pros: Location was great. Very close to restraunts, parking, the Bournemouth Pier and Bournemouth Park However, if you are looking at the cheaper rooms you be better served by Premier Innnext door. Service was poor at the front desk and breakfast and breakfast whilst adequate was not at the quality I would have expected. Staff were very disjointed; my pregnant wife asked for some decaf-tea for our room and was advised "the bar might have some". Would have expected them to sort it out. Room location was in the back of beyond with stair only access. Cheaper rooms at this hotel not recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything lovely place to stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good service and location
Cons: It was all good
8.0 Excellent
Pros: quirky little room with great view, would ask for different room next time as was tiny and me being 6ft 5 struggled with bed and space
7.0 Good
Pros: I have known the hotel for many years, have attended business functions there. The breakfast coffee was awful, sadly, everythingelse was ok. Service with a smile was missing somehow. A brilliant place to stay, close to the beach, town centre etc.
Cons: We had a good stay, comfortable for what we wanted. The bar gave good service.
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: It is in a very good location and a charming old building
Cons: The room had no windows, I thought we were in a storage cupboard, the shower kept changing temperature and the shower head kept falling down. The bed was tiny and hard. It was a really dreadful hotel.

7.0 Good
Pros: Value for money for simple but clean facilities
Cons: The car park. Not a proper car park, no set spaces, the ground very uneven, not well lit. Arriving late like I did I had a struggle to find a space and then had a nervous walk to the hotel.
7.6 Good
Pros: Size of room (family)
Cons: Halls and room walls in need of redecorating/plastering
6.0 Good
Pros: Quiet. A pool with changing room, Snooker table room. Football table. Breakfast was great. Calm atmosphere. Staff were friendly and gave clear information at the start. Staff were helpful when we arrived late and hungry food was offered (I paid of course) from the bar and they let me take it to my elderly Mum's room.
Cons: Swimming pool too cold for non swimmers and kids. Dirty chair in the room, wipeable would be more hygienic than fabric. Very weak shower. Iron blew the electric and replacement iron took too long to arrive, I had to ask twice (the delay nearly made me late for a wedding), then two were delivered by mistake. Room service would be a bonus.
6.3 Good
Pros: Bed linen very clean
Cons: Bath worn out .Walls dirty. Window was missing lock and opened fully (we were on top floor), and glass was very dirty Strong smell of bleach in bathroom. pillows worn and uncomfortable.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, nicely laid out. Great bar and restaurant.
Cons: chairs in the room were a little old and a bit tired
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff were friendly and helpful. Food excellent and we were really pleased with our room which was rated as standard, but we felt was better than standard. Would definitely recommend this gitel and also return ourselves.
Cons: We got a parking space quite quickly but other people visiting did not, so I think the parking could be made better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel, on a clif in Bournemouth with an amazing ocean view!
Cons: Nice property, felt like home! Very professional and kind staff, even if we need to check out at 12 am, due to covid 19 and all the restaurants close, because we missed the breakfast, they let us stay till 1pm free of charge so we can ate in our room some food we bought from city. We didn’t mind that the hotel restaurant was close, caz this is our time today and the directives from our government. But they understood and made us fell welcome in any way possible!
1.0 Poor
Pros: nothing
Cons: No bar, no restaurant no facilities
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Considering the circumstances of this coronavirus, the staff done everything they could to ensure we had a meal for the evening and breakfast. Next time we visit we will 100% be booking here again. No bad words to say.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: ROOM - We were upgraded to a sea view which was perfect as it was a special trip for my husband's birthday. It was clean, large and comfortable with 2 armchairs overlooking the beach / sea. We were able to sit in the room and read quietly when we wanted to. Lovely bathroom with plenty of quality toiletries and good size towels. Nice to see facecloths. There was a safe, hairdryer and ironing facilities in the room alongside enough hangers (skirts for me, trousers for him) for a short stay. There was plenty of storage space. BREAKFAST - Plenty of choice including a wide variety of cereals, toast making facilities, fresh fruit and a selection of yoghurts (including natural yoghurt on the second day). It might be an idea to tell the hotel if you are vegetarian as there wasn't a Veggie equivalent of a full English breakfast. The alternative was actually better as we had the Eggs Florentine and they were excellent. STAFF - they really couldn't do enough for us and when they knew it was my husband's birthday, we were treated to a glass of Prosecco with our evening meal in Brasserie Blanc - the food was terrific in the restaurant. We were also given a free drink in the Bar the next day. The chef even piped a Birthday message onto a plate with a treat! Everyone smiles and is warm and friendly without being over familiar. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. HOTEL - Check in and out was easy, the hotel is laid out beautifully with quiet areas for sitting and more social areas. Fixtures and fittings are to a high standard and they all work! The small gym room was clean, well maintained and contained everything you would need to work off those pounds gained during dinner! The car park, which whilst not cheap but probably reasonable considering the location, was within the hotels grounds so we felt our car was safe. LOCATION - excellent! Overlooking the sea, we spent a great deal of time reading and looking out across the water. Very calm and soothing.
Cons: Nothing - everything was great.
