Tennessee is a southern U.S. state next to North Carolina on the eastern border and Mississippi on the southern side. To the East of Tennessee hiking enthusiasts will find adventurous mountainous terrain, and to the West are the banks of the Mississippi River. Close to the Tennessee-Alabama border is the Huntsville Airport. Tennessee is five hours behind GMT, and has a subtropical climate with very little snowfall.
