Enjoyed the view The staff were hit and miss some were nice some of the bar staff were just plain rude.
We really liked the decor of the hotel. It is a very modern hotel and the facilities were excellent. Really enjoyed the pool, sauna etc. The meal was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. Will definately be back again!!
The hotel is conveniently located near the city centre, staff are very friendly and efficient and the facilities first class.
superb views.. cofortable room..excellent food staff could smile a little..
Hotel is well-located, clean, efficient and welcoming. I like the bar area with casual Asian dining. On this occasion, WiFi in room was very very poor.
Location and staff were very nice.
After the initial fiasco, the friendliness of the staff Parking is a problem particularly after hours. I was locked in the hotel car park after 1 o'clock
Nicr Clean room Booking issue which was resolved
IT was enjoyable
the servce and the guinness was great no towels
Hotel staff are excellent with fantastic attention to detail. Food at wedding reception was lovely, very high quality.
really like the bistro restaurant, tha waiting staff were great it was a big table of us with Kids, They took great care of us and food was fab!!!!!
Table light was not working, quite dirty behind the bedside table. Lights generally in a very uncomfrotable position, dirty settee, not quite cleaned up after the last guests. Outside the door there was a bloodsoaked shirt for most part of the day.
Our visit was very brief but the bed was the most comfortable I think I've ever slept in.
really love the comfortable beds in the woodlands as this is the second time i stayed there The bedroom could do with a light over the mirror for putting on makeup
most comfortable bed ever! Beautiful christmas tree in the lobby
Excellent quiet and comfortable hotel with good location and good food.
Pleasant staff Good food in bistro Requested one room to be changed as bathroom was not up to standard. Substitute room was complained about by letter to hotel
We found our room very comfortable and luxurious, we were attending a wedding and the food was gorgeous too. nothing.
Fleas in bathroom; no hot water in shower in morning; no newspaper available for 0800 breakfast; I received a telephone call from the hotel a day after I had checked-out, asking if I would be vacating my room that evening; hotel staff sorted empty bottles in yard outside my room at night.
Residents being kicked out of the front bar at 12.30 friday night. They served us a drink and told us we had to drink it in the reception because they had to get ready for a wedding party coming in at 1.30am. It was a 4 star hotel and this was totally unacceptable. Then after this my husband found out he was shortchanged at the bar. No a pleasant experience
Nice layout of lobby. Good food. Well organized. Approachable staff, even the training staff. No airconditioning. Rooms hot. Too noisy to open windows. Debs ball on the night we were there making it impossible to sleep. Day ruined.Gave up on our mini holiday.
The hotel is good but not as good as Radisson should be, Lobby was good but the bed rooms were not up the mark. Open the window (room 312) and you can see the cluster of junk, broken floor and walls. Instead of having a nice sleep till 10am or 11am on Saturday morning, all I hear loud drilling at about 8am… Staff was the best part..
The staff were excellent, accomodating and professional. the hotel was excellent nothing.
Great service and facilities are top quality. The staff are the hotels best asset very friendly and welcoming
Excellent standard. Great to relax in the Spa and enjoy a good dinner. Assuming this was the Limerick Radisson. Poor signage- it was hard to find-SatNav took me somewhere else.
Friendly & helpful staff. Relaxing and enjoyable stay. Big rooms. Great bar. Very attentive to replenishing drinks etc. The staff made it for us. Slow food service but we were enjoying ouselves & didn't really notice, cold temperature in reception area
Its location for my meeting in the Raheen Industrial Estate early the following morning Very dated & dismal. Appalling coffee at a mediocre breakfast.
nothing. there is no way this is a 4 star hotel. i find it hard to believe it was ever a 4 star hotel as the finish and craftmanship was so bad. .What a tip
The room was fantastic. As a typical business hotel and me being a solo traveller it was a little impersonal. Although this would probably suit most people.
room was clean and comfortable bar staff and waiting staff extremely slow to serve even though they did not seem to be short staffed
Everything fine nothing stood out Didn't get room we booked on line. Room cold around 23.00.
friendly staff excelent rooms very difficult to get in and out of the room air con did not work
The food was not good but my main problem is with booking.com.You would be better off going straight to hotel web site for better deals.
My stay was short and I didn't use any services provided really. I did think it was clean which is extremely important. I thought for someone who doesn't eat meat the breakfast was very expensive. In other words if you don't like fry up the other options were only fair, maybe if there was fresh fruit available and some different types of cheese
The size and comfort of the room I ordered a soup and main course in the bar and asked for a 15 minute gap between serving each item. The main course arrived within three minutes of the soup and had to be kept warm in the kitchen until I was ready.
room was clean and comfortable as my room(205) was at back of hotel there was a lot of noise from around 4am on saturday morning. I think the noise was from trucks doing rubbish collections and deliveries.Apart from this the hotel was ok
Room we got secondly after we complained about first room. Lovely comfortable bed Spacious bathroom Power shower Walking distance to everything within the city Staff were very attentive, friendly, helpful and efficient. First room was in a terrible state and in bad need of repair and updating - it was unacceptable. Proximity to the road and roundabout - v busy and could hear traffic all night.
Cheap We arrived quite late, around 10pm, and we couldnt get any food. Not even room service
Excellent quality room / breakfast good value / Hotel close to shops bus station / rail station in fact central Unable to turn Both handbasin taps on & off shower just the same - females would not be able to operate / maybe something to do with the Irish water ie calcium content
Central location. View from 6th floor. Additional cost of car parking was not apparent at time of booking.
The receptionest were very helpful and "Real People". We had experienced dealing with three Receptionest.Breakfast fare was fine. At breakfast the water for tea makeng was from a thermus which was not boiling. For tea drinkers like me boiling water is necessary for making good Tea.
Very noisy guests at 3am through till 430am Security Guard did his very best to quieten them, but too many noisy guests and not enough security guards.
the friendliness of the hotel receptionist, ( male)
Clean room, friendly staff, great location. Would recommend also as it offers great value for money. No gym or pool facilities, but I knew this before I booked it.
location is excellent that you have to pay 7.50 extra for parking
Easy and comfortable
Music comming from a late night party very loud
It was a rugby weekend and the hotel adapted itself to it's clientele showing all the matches. There was also a wedding reception were well able to cater for both sets of visitors with ease.
nice room and comfort did not like haveing to pay for parking in the hotel
friendly, informative and helpful staff, comfortable beds, excellent loacation, spa facalities were lovely as was pool area, good dinner, option to prolong checkout on the sunday for a small charge, lovely interieor,we had wine glasses and bucket in the room which was a nice touch, nice bathroom and good size,we stayed in a triple room and everything was perfect-highly recommend the hotel was a little hard to find(from the cork side)we could see the hotel but took a while to figure out how to get over the bridge so maybe a few additional signs for the hotel would be helpful, other than that no complaints!
room was perfect and restraunt service and food was excellant staff member durning check in unfriendly and abrupt
Closeness to City Centre and relaxed atmosphere of Hotel Breakfast seriously overpriced.
It was very central and the staff were very friendly. The air conditioning was turned on in the dining room which rendered it extremly cold on the night we stayed. The waitress informed me that it would take 1 hour in order for the room to heat up she did however move us to a different table hoping it would not be so cold. Unfortunately it was and I subsequently developed a head cold from the dining experience.
Ambience of the lobby and rooms Lighting too poor in rooms to try and do work - particularly on PC
Very clean hotel with welcoming staff. The hotel is located very close to the city centre. The main street (O'Connell Street) is about a 3 minute walk. For a night out, Denmark Street is only 5 minutes walk. The leisure facilities are also excellent. The restaurant is a bit pricey and you will have to pay for 7euro per day for hotel parking. Fortunately street parking is available in the area for free on weekends.
the hotel was in a great location for what we wanted it was very high spec and had all facilities The hotel would not serve me a liquor coffee at 10pm in the evening as they said they did not have any hot coffee!!!!!!!!
Bartenders were amazing! Front staff was great too, but we were disappointed that they didnt at least offer us a free dessert/breakfast/something when the air in our second room broke during one of the hotter days that they have had. Made sleeping pretty difficult. They did bring us a fan, but that just circulated warm stuffy air. While the service, staff and hotel cleanliness were all first rate, little things like a clogged shower (we had to take military showers to avoid an overflow), running toilet and broken a/c unit in one of our two rooms prevent us from giving them 5 stars.
The staff were friendly. The facilities were new. The treatments on offer at the day spa were impressive. An affordable taste of luxury. The floor in the bathroom became a bit slippery after showering.
The meal in the bar was very good. No WI-FI in room so had to go to reception to work. The pillows were very hard.
Hotel is in a good location and it is lovely. The room we stayed in was very spacious. However on the down side checkout is very early. 11 on a Saturday. They came knocking on our door was we were told that we would be charged if we didn't vacate the room in 15mins. They turned off the electricty supply to our room so we had to shower and change in the dark!!!! I travel a lot and this was the first time that I experienced this.
The hotel was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay there. We will definately go back to stay again in the future.
rooms were very modern. breakfast lovely in the resterant overlooking the river a little noisey during the night, some sort of party or wedding
Hotel was really nice and the room was the nicest and cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was good too.
Room was spacious and there was a separate sitting area. Glass bathroom door right next to the bed.Shower didn't drain well. Beds uncomfortable. Not enough parking.
Very central, clean, nice staff, nice food!
Facilities and location. no.
Breakfast could be improved
Everything was first class.
close to airport no air movement. bathroom facilities inadequate
THe frienliness of the staff There was nothing to complain about
cleaniness and helpful staff
Proximity to the airport Bathrooms need to be remodeled with new plumbing,
its simply a practical hotel for overnight while waiting for a flight. we were unable to get anything to eat when we arrived at 10pm except a plain sandwich. there should really be more available when the main reason people use this hotel is to stop off on the way to catch a flight or on the way back from a long journey. All you need is sustinance and sleep.
While all staff were helpful, the staff in the bar was particularly helpful. Stoking fire, giving directions, suggestions for meals.
The convenience of being at the Shannon airport was excellent. It was clean and comfortable. It was cool, and not as I found in Ireland in general, hot and wasting of much natural resources by overheating. That should be criminal. The bed was not very comfortable. Neither were the pillows. But the the charge for one night of wireless internet was exhorbitant. I was shocked to be charged that for the one short evening. That and the excessive water pressure without warning that flew all over the floor.
Proximity to Shannon Airport
Extremely convenient to the airport and the staff treated us as though we were at a resort.
I liked the friendliness of the Staff both front of house and in the Bar No soap or shampoo
the proximity to the airport
Easy access to Shannon airport for early morning flight The mattress is old and not very comfortable. There was a hole in the wall by the bed! (Room 17)
The staff were very friendly and it was very relaxed with check out times etc
Excellent service from the receptionist, excellent value for money.
The receptionist that was on duty when I arrived in the day, was fantastic and very professional. I had to wait half an hour for the night porter/receptionist to come to the desk, to give me a key for my room. There was no sign of him so I got the key from a drawer myself!!! There should be someone on the desk at all times!
Receptionist very pleasant, though we were checking in at nearly 1.00am. Restaurant undergoing renovation, so unavailable. To compensate we received complimentary buffet breakfast. The area it was served in was cramped.
pillows awful, towels in bathroom grubby ,not enough milk and tea supplied.
Quiet and close to a big Tesco store Room cleaner did not turn up one day and no replacement was offered.
The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. The rooms were clean and the hotel is in a prime location to visit the city and surrounding sites. There is ample parking as well. There was no shampoo in the bathroom! Make sure to bring your own.
location, ease of arrival and departure. It was dirty and smelly.
Car alarm going off all night outside the front of hotel.
The stadard of cuisine was five-star.
Nice hotel excellent staff service Bed old with blankets. New beds with douvet required
The staff were very helpful and friendly. I loved the pool.... I thought 16 euro for an irish breakfast and 13 euro for a continental breakfast was outrageously over priced and therefore I did not have breakfast in the hotel either morning.
Certainly was not a four star hotel at it stated. Compared to other 4 star Carlton Hotels this was certainly way below what I was expecting.
I was not impressed with the hotel. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. There was no air conditioning. The fridge didnt work. The TV channels were fuzzy. Room service attemped to charge €7 for some ice. THe brown bread i got at lunch time had fungus on it. Need I go on...
hotel was convenient to town, staff were pleasant, and no problem when asked for extra tea/coffee or towels. Breakfast very good. Hotel a bit dated could possibly do with modernisation.
I was at a conference in the University of Limerick, and it was very convenient for that purpose. My original room was not satisfactory. I had to request a change of room, and the second room was excellent. Staff was helpful when I made the complaint. The furniture in the room had not been put back in place after cleaning in the original room.
The gym The Food - Had a chicken salad one evening - description didn't match what I got - supposed to have advacados - I think I got one lick or not! well not too sure what it was and the cesar salad also over priced
The room was good for the money. The bar was particularly nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was not easy to find without directions from locals (we had no GPS).
There seems to be a rich history here, but little that I saw to tell about it. Stay waa fine, close to Shannon airport. -
It was cute, & quaint. Loved the antique pieces around the public areas. Was close to airport, which was our main need, as our flight was very early. Staff was great! Very helpful for our very short stay. Bathroom needed more space for our stuff. We could have used more hangers for our clothes. Shuttle service to the airport would have been Great!
The food was great and it was quiet Everything was fine
Lobby areas are nice Decor was quite dated and the beds were very uncomfortable for the price.
Our waitress was charming. The old aviation adverts displayed in the corridors were interesting. It has a thinner than usual veneer of quality: no porter was offered for our cases; breakfast fruit was tinned, there was no yoghurt; dinner waitress didn't know how to serve a bottle of wine; and so on. More akin to an average B&B than a hotel.
How close yet quiet it was to the Shannon airport. And the front desk staff was extrememly helpful in getting info to us, and even helped me make a resevation for when I'd be back in the area; but at another motel as Oakwood arms was completely booked. The girls that were the most help were May nad Lisa. Some of the mattresses and pillows were very hard!!!
We have always found the hotel excellant, from our perspective it supplies good facilities close to airport and is an ideal way to start our holidays in Ireland. No.
Staff very good and breakfasts outstanding. Comfortable beds.
Helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. Great location right in the centre of the village. The heating was on very high, to the point where it was almost uncomfortable.
Friendly staff and lovely big room Would be good if rooms had tea and coffee facilties, but this isn't a big deal
The generous sized room, as we attended a wedding elsewhere we had no opportunity to check out facilities.
A lovely room, very good food, smooth efficient service My room although bigger than I expected was next door to some sort of motor and noisy enough to keep me awake.
Very spacious room. Great bed. Lovely bathroom. I thought the decor was a little sparse/cold in the room (205). The desk in the middle of the floor gave it a little bit of an office feel. That's just quibbling though. The size/cleanliness was faultless.
Very spacious room Room too hot
Spacious room, comfortable bed, lovely meals, friendly staff and great surroundings. Lovely area for walking and some shopping. N/A
excellent accomadation and service
the restaurant staff on wed and thur nite......a pleasue The breakfast manager on my last day friday, very loud and in your face, everyone at breakfast was made aware of the room i had booked and that it did not include breakfast when in actual fact i had booked room and breakfast.....
Our room was upgraded to a suite after arriving at two o'clock and our room was not ready.
Although the Key cutting system was down when we arrived, the staff were excellent in their handling of the situation. We were the only ones in the leisure area, the jacuzzi was not working and the steam room and sauna shut down while we were there but it was no big deal. The Restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent and good value for money with full Dinner and a bottle of wine for €65.00 for 2. Other 5 stars should take note.
Directions to get to the hotel and car park
The staff were very helpful. The room was stylish very quiet & peaceful. The changing area in the gym was not very clean but this was understandable as there was works being carried out.
the location was good.
Very comfortable and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Food of highest quality
We were staying in Ballycannon as we were attending a function in nearby Adare. The hotel is more like a guest house but the staff were fantastic. They gave us a drive to our function location free of charge. They are very conversational and lovely people. Breakfast was great in the nearby restaurant. Excellent value and highly recommended.
We stayed for one night and were very impressed. The staff were friendly, the room was large and comfortable and we had a great breakfast.
Had toys for children, large flat-screen TV in lounge. Good breakfast. Very friendly service. Wi-Fi wasn't working while we were there, but they loaned us their computer to use. Very little in the area. It's a short drive to Adare but longer to Limerick. If you don't mind being a little isolated than it's perfect.
the room was extreamly spacious, clean well furnished and quiet. Although we were the only guests we were suplied with a lovely evenning meal. The breakfasts were great. The proprietors were so warm and friendly, nothing was too much trouble
Plenty of room for a family of four - the double and two singles was perfect.
Fabulous place with fabulous people.
The warmth and comfort was very much appreciated on a very cold night. The only thing that we did not like was having to go out in the cold after having a shower and into another building for breakfast. However the breakfast was excellent
Very enjoyable visit with friendly superior service . Intend to go back shortly with my wife for weekend . None
Cheap accomodation The hotel advertised that it had a swimming pool and when we arrived we found that the pool was actually in another hotel, very dissapointed and were left with bored child
Wi-Fi did not work during our stay (could log in but no ability beyond that - I heard another customer at the front desk showing the problem on their tablet (i.e. it was a hotel problem) but it was never fixed for them or for us. With no international phone coverage on my mobile, Wi-Fi as promised would have been helpful.
everyone very friendly. only criticism is having the one style of resturant - i was only there two nights - is it chinese every night? if so and stayed longer then would have to eat elsewhere see above
Perfect for a stay when flying from shannon airport Nothing
The bed was very comfortable Non Irish at the reception desk is not appropriate
It was convenient to airport and the guy that checked us in at 11 o'clock at night was very helpful and polite
Close to airport. Excellent chinese resturaunt
the friendly atmosphere
Location to Shannon Airport.
the staff were very helpful food was very nice we would to eat some nice traditional food there was nothing wrong with the Chinesefood but it would be nice to have a little more irish but it is a great hotel for reaching the airport and thanks for letting us leave our car while we went on holidaysMichael and Breda Lynam
Hotel, Bar and Restaurant are ran as separate business, would be much easier for customers if you did not have to pay for each separately.
Fine location, very convenient to the airport, relatively comfortable bed, nice shower No breakfast included for the price
central lack of parking nearby
The Staff were wonderful in every way. The bedroom was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent' I did not like leaving so early in the morning.I did not like having to rush breakfast.
Convenient location, clean and comfortable room, hotel bar food was reasonable with nice atmosphere, nice style and vice throughout.
The location was good. Room size very good for Europe. Day staff was relatively unfriendly.
The hotel feels upscale and a bit romantic. It's quite modern, comfortable and the windows are excellent to keep the noise out at night. The location is perfect and the pillows are very comfortable. Excellent value for the money. Parking is nearby but an additional cost. No AC in the bedrooms although a fan is included. No hair dryer in the room.
Very well located in city centre, near car park & shops, clean rooms, & ideal for business users. No smoking area , except outside front door of hotel. Buffet breakfast not too hot or fresh.
Could find no fault with this hotel Parking, although close and convenient is an additional cost.
The breakfast buffet was carefully chosen and attractively presented. My room only had one plug for the several electronic devices with which I was travelling. This one plug was located behind the wall-mounted flat screen television creating a situation in which the plug was difficult to get to and which did not allow much space for the plugged in item to project out without hitting the back of the screen. There should be at least two plugs for electronic devices (lap top computers, camera chargers, etc.) that are easy to access in the room.
It was a great value stay in a central location,
Large modern hotel with a friendly atmosphere
Good Atmosphere. Great Breakfast. Room a little on the smaller side
Abiance of the hotel was excellent, clean and the staff were very accomodating no, everything went brilliantly
