7.0 Good
Pros: The bad was wonderful
Cons: At 7 in morning you can hear some sounds of knocking in the ceiling
4.2 Okay
Pros: Not a lot
Cons: Absolutely shambolic. The restaurant was closed but no warning given on booking. Supposed to still be a continental breakfast, it wasn't. It was cereal and toast and that was it. All the cereal was also full sugar versions so not much use for a diabetic. No one to wait on tables, not even orange juice available. Wouldn't be so bad but I paid for breakfast in the room rate. Also, walls between the rooms are paper thin so you can hear everything that's going on in the next room.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff were helpful
Cons: I am a disabled person and the access to the building is poor. They have a ramp to the front entrance however you cannot get through the door with a motorised wheelchair. The other ramp is lethal it contraviens part M of the disability discrimination act.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was close to my family that i was visiting
6.0 Good
Pros: The friendly staff.
Cons: Bar/lounge not welcoming, limited food choices and a bit of a walk into town for more pub options.
5.7 Okay
Pros: It was the perfect location for us, returning from visiting family in London and broke the journey to Somerset. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Could not fault the staff at all.
Cons: We were very disappointed to be told on arrival at 6pm that the restaurant was closed. There was a big function on in the hotel which meant that we had a very small bar menu to choose from and had to sit in the bar at tables that were not comfortable to eat at. We had no heating in our room or bathroom due to the thermostat being turned down in the restaurant!! Luckily it wasn't cold when we woke up.
4.8 Okay
Pros: Staff are courteous and efficient
Cons: Hotel is in need of renovation. there is exposed pipework in rooms (hot water pipes)which present a health and safety issue.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The staff I met were friendly and smiled (not always the case!)
Cons: The room and geneal appearance of the hotel was somewhat tired and grubby
6.0 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast!
Cons:
4.0 Okay
Pros: The location is good for my business requirement.
Cons: Had to wait to be served at the bar as the barman was taking meal orders and acting as the waiter.
2.8 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: Water not warm enough to shower. Faucet dripped all night. Tiny room. Tinier bathroom.
7.6 Good
Pros: nice and peaceful for what we wanted for the break we wanted and will stay there again
Cons: would have liked room with a shower

7.0 Good
Pros: Great bar, comfy room and bed, room was clean, the staff are very friendly I turned up early and they got my room ready for me to move straight in. it’s a great location. Nice breakfast although for me the breakfast was a little on the small side. Overall I was happy with my stay
Cons: Some parts of the building could do with a fresh coat of paint.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The hotel is quirky and has an interesting character. Breakfast was ok for the money we paid.
Cons: Unfortunately we booked a family room but were only given a standard double. There were only 2 of us so it was fine however this was a cheaper room so we thought that was a bit cheeky. The main issue with the room was the lack of cleanliness. On first impressions it seemed clean but it became apparent that only a quick once over had been done. The chair had some extremely questionable stains hidden behind a cushion. The walls and doors etc were dirty and it was clear the floor in the bathroom hadn't been mopped. There was also grime on the bath/shower. Another issue we found was the bath and shower didn't really work. We ran the bath for about half an hour and it only filled up 1/4 so we gave up and tried to have a shower. The shower nob was also broken so we struggled to get that to work either! We also found it wierd that the bed didn't have a headboard, if you lent back or reached up you smacked yourself against the wall which wasn't great. All in all the hotel rooms are very dated and are in much need of a bit of love and care! And certainly a deep clean...
7.0 Good
Pros: Old classical and historical hotel. Free parking in very restricted parking area. Good buzz in the dining room from outside visitors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Nice simple down to earth staff...

7.0 Good
Pros: location was good breakfast was ok
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were very spacious and clean.... all in all a cracking place
Cons: Breakfast was a bit poor
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast good, location near town centre excellent
Cons: Room had no chair we had to ask for one to sit at table and very humid and couldn't get a fan when we asked for one. We have stayed in the past and felt it was better and cleaner before. But the price including breakfast was good.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable, it was like my partner and I were sleeping in different postcodes! The towels were fluffy, the room was beautifully decorated, very modern and there was a nice selection of condiments. I'd highly recommend the Afternoon tea, great value, big portions for money and very tasty. The breakfast was made to order and was also delicious.
Cons: There could have been more storage in the room, only 3 coathangers were provided and some of the towels were on top of the toilet, maybe an extra shelf would be have been handy in the bathroom. The staff were friendly enough but they failed to tell us when check-out time was, and what time breakfast was served. They could have asked us why we were staying and maybe recommended places for us to go, we had to find out for ourselves.
6.0 Good
Pros: Clean, nicely decorated rooms and good quality food.
Cons: The staff were not very welcoming and the pub lacked atmosphere. It was very quiet on the night we ate there and it was made very obvious that the bar staff wanted us to leave: music was turned off, cleaning commenced etc, well before closing time. Very overpriced drinks. Large glass of wine, over £11!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The most dog friendly pub we've ever visited. Trouble is we forgot the dogs. Location is beautiful but I'd like to visit in the summer to experience it properly rather than in the teeth of a storm. Nice pub, really nice decor. Staff were great. Room was nice. Food was excellent as were the ales. All good
Cons: Not much really. All was good.

Pros: this hotel should have been £200 a night - well worth it large room great bed nice friendly restaurant that you would take a girlfriend or family - bit posh but normal food. Very Very friendly team and warm welcome.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely building in centre of Stockbridge. Warm friendly staff. Very individual style with gorgeous rugs and interesting art/ photos. Some would say it’s a bit run-down and dilapidated. But I think it oozes character. Currently there is some renovation work going on and I really hope this doesn’t result in a transformation to become like countless chain hotels. The food was great. Fab breakfasts!
Cons: The room was a bit on the small side but great big comfy bed.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room and delicous food for dinner and breakfast. very helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: The room was very hot and we couldn't open the window managed to turn off the radiator but some instructions on how to do it would be great. There could do with being a light in the main room as there is only one in the corridor of the room
6.0 Good
Pros: The location is good being just over an hour from where we live.
Cons: We stayed three years ago and enjoyed everything about our stay then which is why we returned to The Peat Spade. However this weekend we did not feel the standards of staffing and the evening meal on Sunday were not up to what we were expecting.

Pros: Food is excellent and the staff courteous, friendly and engaging.
Cons: A small niggle only: as residents, there were no guaranteed tables for dinner. Always check as outside bookings are popular.
