Hotels near London City airport

Pros: Left stranded by galahotels after night before relocation. Even though sunborn had spaces. Transaction for the room still pending. Birthday surprise ruined. 250 out of pocket.

Cons: Gala hotels.

Pros: Right in front of the metro station. Just 1 stop to O2 and direct line to city center. Comfy and clean rooms. Good breakfast buffet, cosy restaurant and lounge.

Pros: Great value for London. Amazing breakfast and very friendly and accommodating staff

Pros: Convenient for Excel Centre

Cons: Overcooked scrambled eggs every day, even after complaint.

Pros: Proximity to transport options. Clean rooms. Easy check in and fast check out. Reasonable value for money. Good shower.

Cons: Aircraft noise in the morning, which was unavoidable due to the A/C being centrally switched off.

Cons: the room in general was like a disabled toilet. unhelpful staff when we decided not to stay 2nd night. Cancellation procedure is poor, as we booked online it should have been explained to us regarding cancelllation at the hotel.Difficult to understand the receptionist - her English was not good.

Cons: Internet fee was so expensive. Please, consider to make the fee free. That will help customers a lot.

Pros: Staff was fun, friendly, and helpful. 2pm checkout was nice, except the fact that I spent the morning listening to construction noise (see complaints).

Cons: They had construction going on, and they put me in a room right next to it. Literally, there were construction workers working across the hall from me, and all the way down the hall. They should have closed that room, if not that whole floor, instead of being cheap and putting people next to construction zones. A low budget hotel. No iron or ironing board. No closet.

Cons: the lack of staff at breakfast, no cutlery, no plates etc. every time you did manage to find a member of staff to ask for something it took 4/5 minutes to return from the kitchen with it. They would then have to go back for another item required, this made breakfast a real chore.

Pros: This hotel is about to complete renovations and it looks great. First the rooms are very nicely decorated, they have a great size and are very comfortable. For a hotel so close to the Airport you cannot hear a thing. Several airplanes landed and took off over night and I did not hear a thing from the outside. The rest of the hotel is incredible. The hotel restaurant serves great food, very high class, the quality is great. I would highly recommend eating at the hotel. I have only had bad experiences at Ramada's but if they all remodel to be like this one I would stay here always.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent and the physical restaurant was a pleasant suprise. Also had some light fare in the bar in the evening and it was substantial and tasty.

Cons: WIFI wasn't as good as I've come to expect from most places in London. The whole place looked a bit worn and could use a refresh.

Pros: We chose it for it's proximity to the O2 and the DLR and it proved very convenient for both. Evening meal in restaurant was good.

Cons: As in many large hotel other guests a little inconsiderate i.e. banging doors, noisy returning in evening. Hotel furnishings a little tired.

Pros: Staff were all courteous, professional and friendly. London hotels today are usually staffed by young Europeans - this is no exception, though I had the impression Ramada's staff were trained.

Cons: Very brown rooms. Curtains like two brown slugs hanging by the window...update them and the room will feel fresher and more welcoming. Mattress on my bed was incredibly soft - poor quality.

Pros: It was the most reasonably priced hotel in the area, with the best facilities. The staff were very helpful. It was also very convenient. Including breakfast was an added bonus. I enjoyed it so much that I will book again soon!

Cons: Mattress in room 220 needs replacement (saggy in the middle). Woken in middle of night by screaming that went on for ~20 minutes... not sure what it was.

Cons: It's right beside London City airport so good if you're using that. Otherwise I found it a. It in the middle of nowhere so not a great location if you're a tourist. Having said that it's also right beside the DLR you can use that to get you where you want.

Cons: It was not possible to book 2 rooms in one go on internet. Hence I booked two two times one room on my name which caused quite some confusion at the beginning. Also annoiyng was that the hotel was overbooked when we arrived. It ended up that I got a disabled room.

Pros: I didn't really like anything except that the airport was close by.

Cons: I couldn't beive there was only 30 minutes of free wifi. AND no TELEPHONE. The TV looked like a computer. Don't let me continue.

Pros: Our second year here for the weekend of the Ride 100 London Surrey, parking is reasonable however very tight, we paid £7.50 for 24hrs so checked in quite late, seems a busy hotel particularly due to the cycle event and Excel being on the doorstep, any event there makes this the ideal place to stay as it's a walk to Excel. right next to city airport and close to DLR, noise over night was not an issue in our room, although the train runs till midnight we could hear it didn't bother us, stayed in room 227.

Cons: The Car Park is inadequate however there is parking at Excel which is just a 5 min walk.
