I rented the mystery car. They wanted to give me a 12 person van. My other choice was the Genesis G 80 all electric I chose that car. I asked The Avis representative to show me anything about the car and he said it’s just like driving a gas car turned out there was a lot of stuff that is different and I knew nothing about how to charge the vehicle that became very difficult to do. The car had no adapter so I could not use a Tesla charging station. I only had 6 miles left on the battery and anyway that was very scary and challenging to try to get it charged and when I called Avis to ask about it, they hung up on me. They oversold their vehicles as left me without a car, had to stay in the city for another day, come back to the airport the next day and rent a car from National, also had to get another hotel room by the rental location at Salt Lake City airport due to not being able to drive to the city my hotel was in. The Copenhagen team was very helpful and responsive when I called about changing my drop off. Meanwhile, no one picked up the phone in the Oslo office and I tried them multiple times. It was disappointing to learn my total price would have quadrupled if I changed my drop off location. The agent at my drop off was rude. He told me to park the car in the garage and bring him the key. He did not inspect the car with me or ask how my rental was or help. I gave him the key and he said he’d email the receipt. I got no paperwork. He should not be working with people- rude, uninvolved with his job and not a good representative for Avis.Reviewed 13 Jun 2026

Arrive to Avis Liberia to a lot full of Nissan Kicks. Not the car ANYONE in the lobby had reserved. They claimed they were in the midst of a fleet upgrade but when I drive past over 10 days, the same lot full of Kicks were there. My agent was a very nice lady and the whole process was easy but don’t count on getting the car you asked for.Reviewed 13 Jun 2026

I reserved two rental cars under my name back in April at pretty good rates.....when I got there for the pickup in Florence they told me that I couldn't do that....so had to put under my wife's name at the "day of" rate which was almost $1000 more.
