I was extremely disappointed with Avis. I had already selected and paid for my rental from NC. When I got there, they wouldn't give me the car without a credit card. I have rented many cars and always used my debit card, no problem. I was stranded at the airport after flying across the country. They didn't care. No sympathy. I was told that if I bring it back to the same airport I didn't need a debit card nor deposit. The lady refused.Reviewed 19 Aug 2026

MY booking was for Logan air port so when i got to logan I did not have a car i rented one there from Avis that cost me over 800 dollars for the week and had to pay a 100 dollar cancelation fee to avis for not picking it up a Norwood so i will not rent through you againReviewed 19 Aug 2026

Great staff has been hired at the PHL airport location. Each professional I interacted with first of all seemed to enjoy their jobs, did there jobs extraordinary well, and genuinely liked customers and wanted to make the experience as helpful as possible. There seems to be a culture of excellence and going the extra mile at that location. I will surely be trying Avis at other locations too to see if that culture extends across the company. I wish I remembered the names of the people who helped me at this recent booking and give them a shout out. The bus driver, a man, was delightful, chatty, great energy and care at 7 am on August 14, 2026. I did not ask his name, but I wish I could have given him a 5-star review, that positive attitude and excellent work ethic really cheered me up after a red eye. Then the rental agent inside was similarly genuinely great customer service. Also a man, and I am blanking on his name, he introduced himself - Raph? He was also exceptional. And lastly not to forget the agent who helped me return the car, his name might have been Chuck, tall guy. He was a pleasure as well. Cannot say enough about your team, and I have taken the time to write a review less than 10 times out of the thousands of requests that come my way.
