SNEAKY SMALL PRINT The car I reserved was half-price, and I thought I'd found a WONDERFUL deal. Later, I was speaking to a friend who works for AVIS. When I told him my plans for a once-in-a-lifetime cross-country trip, he warned me that AVIS would fine me at least $1000 if I drove into half the states on my itinerary. I had to dig through MANY pages of small print on AVIS's Website before I found out my friend was right. I immediately cancelled the car and went with Hertz. Yes, I paid full-price, but I got an upgrade on the vehicle and unrestricted travel. You need to make such restrictions plain and up-front. I'm glad I know to avoid AVIS in the future,Reviewed 11 Oct 2023
