Consistently friendly clean and great breakfast
Extremely friendly staff, impressive free breakfast
Always a great experience for us. They go out of their way for breakfast and social hour.
Wonderful staff, choice of pillows, firm bed, hot breakfast Had some trouble with wifi in morning
Although the facilities were old, they were spotless and the staff was absolutely sine qua non. Friendly, helpful, warm, inviting. The attached restaurant (included) was fabulous for breakfast. On check in there was a tray of the best doughnuts. One could only quibble about the lack of updates and to do so would be a true shame as no staff tries harder! Well done!
For an old motel they do a good job keeping it up. Friendly staff. Good breakfast and evening snacks. Good value. Not a new facility and rooms have not been remodeled. Bathrooms need a remodel.
close to the shops no elevators
Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, great price on Hotwire.
We checked in after midnight the front desk clerk was very helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
We stayed in Bangor for one night on our way from Canada to Acadia National Park and were pleased with the hotel. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Facility has been renovated and is a great value for your money.
This motel not listed in AAA book.
Staff was friendly and beds comfortable Carpet in room could use a good cleaning. It seemed dingy.
The bed was above standard. Many services both within the room as well as in the area. Vacuum the carpets, please
Liked the simplicity of booking Did not like the fact that we were told upon arrival that there were no king bed rooms available and we were forced to upgrade to two queen beds. Breakfast and in room coffe were worst ever. Shower was cold in the morning but overall we did end up enjoying our stay because of the pros.
the bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean, the layout was comfortably functional. There was a table with two good chairs comfortable for eating -- and a microwave and fridge. Though the room wasn't spacious, it felt spacious enough, thanks to the layout . The quality of the desk and bureau and table, all with granite tops, seemed quite good. I liked it! Nothing, really. I usually prefer higher-end hotels but left one because I didn't care for the bed. This hotel of course does not have all the facilities or perks a higher end place will have -- no indoor pool, no armchair, no pen with little pad of papers, etc. But I didn't miss them.
Good location Asked for more towels and never got them.
Room was updated, clean and staff were all very friendly. Minutes from the Cross Center. For the money would definitely stay again.
Restaurant attached, bed was comfortable. Walls seemed thin.
Rooms were clean and easily accessible from parking lot. If you check in late night, Parking was kind of crowded and may have to walk. Continental breakfast was poor. Rode way inn across the street was 35 dollars cheaper per night and had a way better breakfast.
The pool The bartender at the tiki bar was incredibly rude to the patrons.
The location was ideal, but its a very small town. It was dusty! The glass looked like someone licked all over it. We checked in with Logan - who was by himself and obviously freaking out with people in front of him and the phone ringing. We flew in for a 10 hour music event, so naturally myself and many others were going to check in after he concert. Shame on management to leave this guy hanging! He did a good job, I think he just was overwhelmed. Business section (printers) didn't work - they were repairing the front lobby with glue and clamps, it was a hot mess
Everything was good. Maybe could of had some fruit and juice out for for us that don't want a big breakfast.
Clea, friendly workers No breakfast included
Comfortable beds, large clean rooms, friendly staff and close to the airport Huge over stuffed pillows. Bring your own pillow unless you like to sleep with your head crooked at a 45 degree angle. I still highly recommend this hotel. Everything else was great including a wonderful breakfast and warm and friendly staff.
I liked the convenient location, availability, and all the staff were very helpful. The bed was extremely hard, with only a sheet and a sheet cover, we never had a pillow topper and for the price we paid for our room the quality was not the best.
Nice breakfast setup and selection In room air conditioner was very quiet.
My air connections were fouled up in Phoenix such that I was unable to make my prepaid reservation in Bangor--the Fairfield Inn could not have been more accommodating under this circumstance. Thanks.
Hotel was nice, though perhaps a little pricey - especially if paying to stay at casino (see note on what I didn't like). Staff was efficient at checkin. Casino is small, slots seem generally older. Went on a Saturday night and it was pretty dead. Drinks were both bad and weak. Last call wasn't really a last call so much as an announcement of no more service as of that second. Then they actually walk around and collect your drinks. I felt like I was in the twilight zone - just a very strange (and not to be repeated) experience.
For what the room cost, I would have expected a lot more luxury from a casino hotel.room was below average, not comfortable. Lacked amenities. Hotel staff and snack bar staff was very good Restaurant food was terrible. Fish and chips was the worst I have ever had. Waiter wasn't knowledgeable regarding drink programs. Slot machines were lousy payouts. Too many penny machines and too many impossible machines. Buffett was too expensive @ $25. Didn't try it I question if this casino is going to survive. Not very busy for a Friday night.
Staff did a great job. Beds were soft, uncomfortable. Walls thin, could hear tv and people in room next door. Noise from floor above was loud. Noise insulation not done well enough.
Clean Room Difficult parking. If traveling with kids, they make you sign a waiver to not leave them alone if under 16. This may put a damper on mom and dads plans to go to the casino.
The room was fine. The staff was friendly. The doors slam when closing. Very noisy at night. The buffet in the casino is terrible. Cold food and low quality.
Close to the airport By midnight around 4:00pm, awakened by next room guests! Not just they slammed the door, they also talk so loud and last for about 1/2 hour until we called the front desk to complain. Less choice for dinning during the weekday stay.
We loved our room, except the a/c had problems. The staff was incredible. The Casino was really fun. We will definitely stay here again. The a/c in our room did not work right.
I loved being close to everything
Room was large and comfortable. Hotel clerk called our room thirty minutes after we arrived and we were just about asleep for an afternoon nap.
Convenient to all Bangor Highlights, nice Staff and great buffet. TV system horrible, I just wanted to lay in bed after four hours at the casino and they had to move my room 3 x to get a working TV. No Pool....
The staff was friendly in all areas, Reception, Restaurants & Casino. There were cookies and flavored waters in the reception area. The hotel and rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. We stayed at the hotel to see a show at the Cross Insurance Center, which was an easy walk right across the street. The rooms were very quiet and the views from the upper floors were terrific. We were disappointed that the Epic Buffet is only open on weekends, but we did know that ahead of time. There is no more cook to order breakfast for $9.99, instead there is a reasonably priced snack bar if you want breakfast, and it can be ordered as room service too. While the covered and enclosed parking is conveniently located right outside the doors of the lobby, it is also the Smoking Area. There is no way to avoid the clouds of smoke upon entering and leaving the hotel lobby. For a non smoking hotel, it's a terrible place for a smoking area unless you don't mind the smell of smoke on your clothes and in your hair.
The shower was scalding intermittently. Be careful!!
I chose this hotel because they offer a free shuttle service to and from the concert. What a great service! We had dinner at the hotel restaurant - which was good. Free breakfast buffet in the morning. And free Wi-fi. Overall I'd recommend. Would stay here again. I don't like that the funds on my card were held twice (one as a pre-authorization and one for the settlement). The bed wasn't too comfy, but that's minor.
The hotel needed to be updated more. There was no place to plug in my cell phone or the extra chargers that we bought. Also a hit tub would of have been nice.
Location. FREE Shuttle to concert event! FREE Breakfast buffet was an outstanding amenity included in room rate. Quiet rooms, never heard anyone above or next door. WiFi coverage at corner rom was acceptable. Indoor pool was a bit chilly, supposedly is heated. Had only one coffee cup in room. Also no information in room on pool hours, restaurant menu and hours, location of vending and ice machines. Overall all, very minor. I found all I needed to know online. Will not hesitate to book again when in Bangor!
FREE WIFI, INDOOR POOL, FRONT DESK VERY HELPFUL... ROOM LARGE FOR TWO-TWO SINKS, NICE TOILET... COFFEE WAS WEAK...
Friendly staff, great price
Refrigerator, good tv and Internet, relatively quiet. Rooms are pretty small but well appointed.
Comparatively inexpensive, convenient to Downtown Bangor and airport, quiet and clean.
Beautiful hotel and not bad for the price, room was clean although smaller than expected, had to change rooms upon arrival due to strange heater / air conditioning noise in the ceiling of the first room. Breakfast was nice, but it gets over super early at 9:30 in the morning. Staff is fairly snooty, they act like this hotel is the four seasons, which is fairly laughable. If you smoke, be advised that the entire property is non-smoking, and staff will rudely tell you to leave the property. Yeah overall would have rated this hotel much higher if their staff had had any manners or tact. The hotel itself is very nice, but the basic king suite is much smaller than it looks in the photos.
location noise level after 2am
Easy access from the highway. Staff was nice and friendly. Asked for a quiet room but seemed to be directly across the hall from 2 couples that had 2 different rooms but enjoyed visiting each others room especially in the early am. Also bed was to soft for my liking but I didn't request anything special but wasn't asked either.
Was clean, staff was courteous Not a good value. Food was not good. No info in room on surrounding area, restaurants etc
Staff is very fiendly Food is terrible
Cool character, has an older boarding house feel. Excellent place to spend a night or two if you want to be in the middle of it all. Not a chain, it is everything they are not, both in good and bad ways. Warm room, too warm even with the ac on.
Lobby & Bar Some of the decor
Thank you for being so helpful even my daughter left her stuffed Wolf. You kept it safe for our return. Just a little dated. And the breakfast was not the best but I was surprised that Super 8 even had it so that was nice.
Very nice motel. The updates they are doing are very nice. The rooms are very clean and big. Staff was amazing Bathroom too small. I could not shut door
Amazing quality for great price. To be honest I was expecting a lot less due to how much I was paying. I was wrong. Nice rooms and comfy beds. One staff member was a little rude and didn't come off as very knowledgeable. Made offense comments about political and social issues.
Stayed here to meet our son as his troop was stopping overnight on the way to deployment. Good value, good food, friendly staff. Even though our room was facing the runway, it was very quiet. Lounge and dining room furnishings were tired--could use an update.
Restaurant and staff very good Nothing
There was an ice machine. The bedding was dirty and had to be changed.
The price was great. Had basic accommodations such as free WiFi and cable. Rooms are accessed from the outside, so parking lot noise can be a problem.
Not Much of anything except I did like that the sink was separated from the bathroom toilet. makes it easier for more than one person to get ready to go out. sheets were old and looked dirty. there was someone else's dirty towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. bathtub was disgusting. would not return
The night manager, a young woman was very professional and friendly. The brew pub, Geghans was surprisingly good, very nice waitresses. The place is a dump, a clean dump but still a dump. Terrible beds, sheets and pillows. There was a gas fireplace in our room that could not beturned off so we had to turn on the air conditioner which was loud and in poor condition, it cycled on/off every 3 minutes, I got a terrible nights sleep. Your staff deserves better, put some money into refurbishing the place.
