Pros:
Drop off was very easy once we found a location that was willing to help us. The Washington ave. Location in St. Louis was absolutely horrible and not willing to help us at all. We had reserved a van and they did not have any left once we arrived to pick it up.Cons:
We arrived at the Washington ave location in St. Louis and were told they didn’t have our van and it was our responsibility to find another location that had a van. Two minutes later the staff was helping another customer transfer their pickup to another location but couldn’t do the same for us?8.4 Very Good

The rental agents were very professional and polite. But it was the ones who picked me up and dropped me off who really impressed me. Super friendly, amiable and interesting! Car was good, clean and relatively comfortable. Got great MPG.Cons:
"Maintenance reqd" light came on while driving through dense fog in the mountains. Was not near a place where I could pull off at the time, so was a little worrisome until I was able to get somewhere that I was able to establish that it was apparently nothing more than scheduled upcoming service.Budget

I paid for a Chevy Impala or similar. When I went to pick up the vehicle they gave me a Chevy malibu. I showed my proof of purchase and they said that it is Kayaks fault. Kayak false advertise and they could only provide me with a Malibu and unless I pay a premium I would only get anew Impala. RIDICULOUS!!2.0 Poor

I think the problem was with Kayak and then Budget made it worse. I went online with kayak and put in to rent a car at St. Louis Airport and not just ST. Louis in general. (STL) All car rentals at STL are off site on a nearby road. Being an out of towner I did not know the address of the car rental. I just got on the shuttle at the airport as I always do in St. Louis and it dropped me off at Budget. I was halfway through my processing when the agent tells me that Kayak had the car at a Budget rental in a hotel on the other side of down and not the airport. I was annoyed but I needed the car so I asked if someone could take me there or would I have to take a cab. She told me that it was closed and they were not open on Sundays. I double checked and she was right. THEY ARE NEVER OPEN ON SUNDAYS so why would Kayak book a rental that would be impossible to pick up? Please tell me! Budget told me they would have to start a whole new reservation and I would have to pay $350 more which was just shy of double the price I had procured. I refused to be "robbed" like that and told them I would make other arrangements even if I had to pay that amount I would not pay Kayak or Budget. I quickly got a car with Enterprise who treated me wonderfully and I paid the same price that I was suppose to pay originally. Unfortunately, Enterprise was located 1/2 mile away on the same road and Budget made me carry all my luggage back to the airport to get the Enterprise Shuttle. Did I mention that they passed by the Enterprise Agency on the way back to the airport? Did I mention I was not a raving customer but a quiet but firm one? Did I mention that I was also a 66 year old woman traveling alone to teach a college course and had 4 pieces of very heavy luggage with books that I need for the course? I will mention that I will never rent from Budget or Avis who happens to own Budget.Avis

Our minivan was given away, they gave us an suv that was too small for my family, it had no gas, was not cleaned and smelled like smoke. Front desk was no help.2.0 Poor

Could have been better by actually having a car for me. Avis ran me around saying I didn’t pass a soft credit check. I got my bank on the phone because there is no way I wouldn’t pass. Avis could not tell me why or what they were checking for. I tried to rebook-they had NO CARS IN THE AREA2.0 Poor

There was no attendant for 25 minutes at this location. They also denied renting a vehicle to me after I had called to make sure they accept a debit card. Worse experience. Ended up having to take a flight. I will never rent or recommend Avis -particularly this location 2925 Olive street, saint Louis MO.3.6 Poor

Was not the same price as quoted by you said that we were at Wrong Avis pick up it said airport pickup got there said it was another Avis I asked how mmuch it was here my quote was 141 they told me to 299 but said they can put us in the car for 210 pounds $70 more then what I got from you then he said we can take the shuttle back to the airport and catch a cab to the other Avis dealer I was not going to pay and take up more time to do that so I took the car will never use them again should have went to Enterprise I coulD of got a full size car for the price I paid for this little one what a ripoff2.0 Poor
